“Another great holiday for Tashi. She has the best time when with Eri and her family. We're always kept up to date with tons of photos and videos of their adventures together. Thank you for taking such great care of her ❤️”

About: I grew up with dogs my whole life. Been missing having a pet around since moving to the UK and would love to help out by taking care of your dogs. My partner Jon who lives with me has always loved dogs and wants to gain more experience with them to hopefully one day get our own. One of us is currently working from home each day. We will be around to give your dog all the attention they are needing. We don’t work weekends and love spending our days out on walks and in the garden. We have a large fenced in garden for your dog to enjoy. We live near a large park where we can go on long walks with dogs if needed.

About: My bond with dogs began unexpectedly—through rescuing an injured Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix. In November 2015, a small golden dog appeared at the entrance of my apartment building, walking only on his two front legs, almost like performing a circus act. After observing him, I realized he had no owner. Occasionally, when his hind legs touched the ground, he would let out a heart-wrenching whimper. I suspected he was injured and had come to seek help, but at the time, I didn’t know how to assist him properly. I immediately contacted a neighbour who had experience with dogs. We together took the injured dog to the hospital. The resilience and healing ability of animals is truly remarkable. After ten days of treatment, he recovered—he was able to walk using all four legs again, although still a bit unsteadily. From that moment on, he became a new member of my family. I prepared his meals with mashed chicken breast, carrots, broccoli, potatoes and eggs, which helped with his digestion and recovery. Before long, he made a full recovery and became my 7-year-old daughter’s beloved companion. Since then, I have rescued three more puppies, all of whom were once strays. They are the three you see in the photos: a black-and-white one named Spot, a tricolor one named Misu, and a golden-colored girl similar to a Golden Retriever named Fluffy. As they grew up, due to limited living space, I couldn’t keep them with me forever, so I had to make the difficult decision to find each of them a new, loving owner. I have been living and working in the UK for three years now, and I really miss the days when dogs surrounded me. When I worked, they would lie at my feet. When I curled up on the sofa to read, they would inevitably jump up and squeeze in beside me. When I cooked, of course, they had to follow me around, waiting for their share. What I loved most was taking them out for walks—they would chase each other across the grass, competing to fetch the tennis balls I threw far away. It was only today, when applying to become a pet sitter on Rover, that I realized with regret that I don’t have much photos of myself with my dogs (I found only one)! It’s almost unbelievable, but it’s true. I’m not someone who enjoys taking selfies, so I only kept many photos of my cats and dogs, or pictures of them with my daughter. I hope this doesn’t make you doubt my love for animals. So, if you want your dogs to feel happy and relaxed when you’re not around, let them come to my home. Just be careful—they might not want to go back with you afterward. My work schedule is flexible, and I can complete some tasks remotely, so your fur baby will always have my company. I love having them wander around freely and snuggle up next to me. I believe we’ll be great companions for each other. I live in a newly built apartment building, and it’s completely dry and not humid. There’s a grassy area downstairs where dogs can run around. Of course, I always keep them on a leash during walks to ensure their safety.

“Thomas accepted a short notice booking that really helped me out. After a very long drive he was welcoming and comforting, it was truly a pleasure to meet him and his family. Storm really loved her stay and I could see how much she loved this family when I came to collect her, I would definitely use this sitter again. Thank you Thomas!”

“Kelly was absolutely fantastic and Rupert is the sweetest boy! She kept me well updated with lots of pics and was very responsive from the very start. She cared for Enzo just as if he was her pup, couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!!”

About: I have always loved dogs and have had my own dog for nearly 5 years. I've done all his training with him and thoroughly enjoy taking him on long adventurous walks in nature. We have a calm home with access to a fully secure garden. I am very active and happy to go on as many walks as your dog needs. I will also have my own small and very friendly dog. He loves a good game of tug or just running around playing chase. I will take plenty of pictures and update you about your dog as I know it takes a lot of trust to leave your dog in the care of someone. I am home every evening, weekend and school holidays. Early morning walks are something I very much enjoy. I work school hours so can be available anytime around this. I have a fully secure garden and plenty of parks nearby. I have my own small dog, Scruff, who is a 5 years old Yorkie/Jack Russell mix and always up for a play. I have two secondary school aged children who adore dogs and love to spend time with them, playing with toys, going on walks or just a good cuddle!

“Ella took really good care of Tyson and kept me updated throughtout. Tyson also felt very comfortable with her dog, Lottie. I would highly recommend Ella and happily book her again.”

About: I’ve had a deep love for dogs since childhood, growing up on a farm surrounded by animals of all kinds. That early experience taught me to understand and respond to a wide range of animal behaviours and needs. Over the years, I’ve also completed dog first aid certificate training and gained experience with basic dog training, which helps me handle different temperaments with care and confidence. Today, my husband David and I live in a spacious three-bedroom home with a secure garden—perfect for both playtime and relaxation. We’re also lucky to have a beautiful park and wooded walking trail just minutes away, popular with local dog walkers and ideal for daily outings. Both of us are lifelong dog lovers with extensive hands-on experience. David has a solid background in dog care from previous years of looking after pets and shares the same calm, attentive approach. Together, we make a strong, dedicated team and are fully committed to providing a safe, loving, and enriching environment for every dog in our care. We know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pup with someone new, which is why we treat every dog that stays with us like family—ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. We also have a friendly, well-socialised dog of our own who loves meeting new friends and playing with other pups. If your dog is sociable and enjoys good company, we’re confident they’ll feel happy, secure, and right at home with us. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, as I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I’m available on weekdays from 5pm and throughout the weekends, which gives me plenty of time to provide focused, attentive care. Whether it’s evening walks, playtime in the garden, or weekend stays, I’m happy to work around your dog’s needs and routine. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or yours. At our home, dogs are always supervised and have access to a secure, fenced garden for safe outdoor play. We maintain a calm, clean environment and follow each dog’s routine to help them feel relaxed and at ease. When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure to follow all instructions carefully—feeding, walk times, medication (if any), and preferred routines. I keep communication open with regular updates, photos, and check-ins so you always know how your pet is doing. Whether your dog stays with us or I come to you, my goal is to create a familiar, low-stress experience that feels just like home.

“Lovely couple with a two lovely dogs that Simba could play with, and a big backyard to share. They were really friendly and Simba seemed not inclined to leave them after his stay which says a lot. He came back to us happy and healthy after more than a week's stay. We would recommend Astrid to anyone.”

“Thank you so much to Meg, Rhys and Orla. Everything was perfect from the moment we booked to when we picked Tashi up. Communication was excellent throughout, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We felt completely at ease knowing Tashi was in such good hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to have her stay with you again - thank you!”

“Katie looked after our Timmy for 8 days. She sent lots of photos almost every day. Timtam was in the sofa She is a nice person and the more important thing was she is a dog person! Thank you for your and Harper’s hosting Timtam in your home.”

About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs and currently help look after my family’s golden retriever. I’m used to taking dogs on walks, bathing them, and giving them lots of attention and love. I’ve also looked after dogs for family friends while they were on holiday, making sure they get the care and all the attention they need. What sets me apart is my experience with dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors. I’m comfortable with giving medication and other specific needs. I’m currently working bank staff, meaning I’m very flexible. I’m free almost always from Monday-Friday and specific weekends as well. Any time of day and on short notice. I have a big fenced garden, and a very friendly and calm golden retriever to help keep your pup occupied. If preferred there is plenty of space in the house for the pup to be crated, or kept separate from the family dog.

“Wala was very responsive when, at relatively short notice, we needed someone to look after our two cocker spaniels, Tripp and Tobi. Importantly, all the administration and scheduling was clear and precise. The dogs were afforded plenty of time to settle into their warm and very welcoming environment before I departed. They were relaxed, happy and content when I picked them up. Wala and Tony clearly have a lot of experience with dogs of all natures and it was a pleasure to make their acquaintance. Thoroughly recommended.”

“Vicky, jack and their beautiful family always treat Milo as one of their own. Received plenty of updates and a sweet video of the kids singing happy birthday to Milo on his birthday. Would recommend Vicky to anyone looking for a home from home environment.”

“Laura is a caring, patient and fun person who is clearly well-suited to looking after other people's dogs. She has welcomed our trainee guide dog into her home on countless occasions and is completely at ease in the company of dogs. Her partner, Jon, shares the same warmth and positive attitude toward animals, and together they make a fantastic dog-sitting team. We never hesitate to ask them to care for our dog, knowing they will always provide a safe, loving, and happy environment.”

Laura S.
“Laura is a close friend and my running partner and regularly meet up for runs or walks with our dogs. We met during Covid as we lived near each other and would often pass each other during runs or at a council/ran dog park close by. Our dogs formed an instant friendship and would chase each other over the field. This was unusual as my dog, Saffie is a rescue dog and is very nervous around people and other dogs. She suffers from epilepsy and has minor attacks at least once a month. For this reason I need someone that not only I can trust but also Saffie trusts too As a result, Laura has subsequently looked after Saffie on many occasions, and she is always excited when we meet up for walks. (Saffie I mean). She would make an excellent dog sitter in my opinion”

Helen F.
“Helen has the biggest heart out of anyone I’ve ever known, so I couldn’t really recommend her enough! If there’s one thing to know about Helen, it’s how much she absolutely adores dogs—especially her two Pomeranians, who are basically her children. She’s the kind of person who always puts her pets first, making sure they’re happy, healthy, and getting all the cuddles and attention they need. Even though she hasn’t looked after my dogs personally, I’ve seen firsthand how dedicated and attentive she is with hers. She’s responsible, nurturing, and genuinely loves spending time with animals. Any pet in her care will be treated like royalty—and probably get a few extra belly rubs too!”
