About: Hi we’re Beth and James. We’ve both grown up with dogs of different breeds since we were young, looking after them from puppies until they’ve gone to doggy heaven. We have one dog, Ralph, who spends half his week with us and half with his grandad to keep him company. We also have looked after friends’ and families’ dogs for a number of years whilst they’ve enjoyed their holidays. We’re lucky to live in an area with fields and woods on our doorstep, and the beach just down the road and love exploring new trails with waggy tails. On our available days we work from home and love having furry friends to look after. At the weekends we enjoy a relaxed pace with activities like long walks, tasty brunches, brewery visits or movies on the sofa. We have a spacious garden with a secure fence. We can accommodate sleeping arrangements for crate-trained or not dogs. We also have a stairgate for any dogs (like ours!) that struggles to get up and down the stairs independently. In the summer, we have rooms at the front of the house that stay cool for doggies struggling in the heat!

About: We are a retired couple with our own young male golden retriever who have plenty of time on our hands to look after your pet & pamper him or her. Toby our goldie gets on well with all dogs. Before our present dog we had a very lovable goldie called Sam for 14.5 years. We really enjoy walks in the woods and on the beaches . We have a small enclosed secure garden for playing games with our dog and any visitor. We do 3 walks a day with Toby, morning, around lunchtime and evening. All in all we are pretty sure your pet will have an enjoyable time with us and will be most welcome. Having our own dog pet care is primary in everything we do on a day to day basis. From morning till night Toby & any other dog is our priority. Toby has a very secure environment, a safe enclosed garden, when it's hot the house is cool especially where we have tiles. There are plenty of walks in the area.

“Both Leslie and Max are brilliant pet sitters. They look after Hudson as if he was their own dog and he loves spending time with Sage as well. Would definitely recommend their services.”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life, and recently had the absolute joy of owning my beloved Cavapoo, Ted, for several years. He's sadly no longer with me, and I now have a big dog-shaped hole in my life – ready to be filled with love for your pooches! I've looked after lots of different dogs over the years, including my mum’s Romanian rescue, so I’m comfortable with pups who might be a bit more nervous or reactive. Ted himself was wary of other dogs, so I’ve always been very mindful and proactive when it comes to walking, socialising, and creating a calm, safe environment. I work from home full time, so I can be around as much as your dog needs. At most, I might pop out for an hour to do the food shop, but I’d build up to that gradually based on what your dog’s comfortable with :) I live in a flat, but I'm lucky to have the beach right on my doorstep and lots of lovely walking spots nearby – I usually stick to quieter routes to keep things calm and stress-free, especially for more sensitive dogs. Your pup will have a relaxed, homely environment here with plenty of attention and care. I make sure they get regular toilet breaks – usually every 2–4 hours, or more often if needed. I’m also happy to follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel settled and secure. I never leave dogs unattended, and I always prioritise their comfort and safety – whether that’s avoiding crowded dog areas, keeping to their preferred walking pace, or creating a cosy chill out spot in my home just for them.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life—from hamsters to horses—and caring for them is second nature to me. I’m a passionate pet lover and proud pet parent to a friendly Labrador and a sweet, cuddly cat. Both are well-behaved, well socialised and great with other animals. I live in a pet-loving household with two young children who adore animals. While they won’t be involved in the care of your pet, they’ll be around to offer some supervised love and attention—perfect for pets who enjoy extra cuddles! Over the years, I’ve cared for the pets of family and friends, and now I’m excited to welcome your furry companion into our home. I have experience with puppies and have personally trained my Labrador, attending puppy training and pet first aid courses to ensure I’m prepared for a variety of needs. Whether it’s a stay at our home or a daily walk, your pet will be treated like family. I’m flexible, reliable, and committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. Long walks, playtime, belly rubs, and lots of affection are all part of the package! Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a meet-and-greet. I can’t wait to welcome your pet into our home! I work from home a few days a week in the emergency services, and my husband works from home as well. So I’m home often and able to provide plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I have two wonderful children who absolutely adore animals, and while they won’t be involved in pet care, they love offering supervised affection and cuddles. I'm very active and enjoy both short and long walks with our Labrador, so your animals will get plenty of exercise and playtime. I'm well-prepared for all kinds of weather—rain or shine—and have a variety of toys and enrichment activities to keep pets mentally and physically stimulated. I have a spacious four-bedroom home with a fully fenced, large secure garden—perfect for safe outdoor play and exploration. Pets are welcome to make themselves fully at home here, with full access to the entire home. If your pet enjoys extra snuggles, they’re more than welcome on the bed for cozy cuddle time! The back door is usually open during the day, allowing pets the freedom to move between indoors and outdoors as they please.

“Sophia made us feel very at ease with leaving Effie with her for the day. Effie came back very happy, would absolutely recommend Sophia and wish we lived closer as we’d love Effie to see her again!”

“David was great to communicate with, we changed our schedule few times and he was always super easy to deal with and get along we our request. George had fun running in the (massive) garden and was a tired pup when we went to pick him up!”

“We were very confident in leaving our nervous whippet with Amy and Kiran for the afternoon. They were friendly and capable, clearly love dogs and were brilliant with Muguet. Highly recommended.”

About: https://www.rover.com/sit/lizb77109 Hi, I've been looking after dogs in my home for the last couple of years. I had my own much loved dog for seven years (sadly she died in March 2025, but I can't work out how to remove her details from Rover). This means that I currently don't have a dog, so my home is suitable for dogs who prefer to be the only canine in the home (there are no other pets). Occasionally I might overlap one dog with another if I know they (and their humans) are both ok with that. But I'm very happy to not do this if your dog needs to be the only dog (and in fact my preference is to look after only one dog at a time) I live in central St Leonards with my lovely flatmate, who also loves dogs (it's a child-free household). I work part time from home, so am around the house a lot. My dog when she was still with me had separation anxiety, so I'm used to having a dog with me all the time. Occasionally I might have a few hours work outside the home, but we can discuss that if there's a clash. I have a big garden which is secure for small to medium-sized dogs, and I don't mind if they pee/poo in the garden. I offer both daycare and overnight stays, short or long stays, and only look after one dog at a time (unless there's the occasional overlap and I know that both the dogs and their humans will be ok with that). Dogs are very much allowed on sofas and welcome to sleep on the bed at night. I can look after small dogs, and medium dogs if they're not good at jumping (the garden is escape proofed for smaller dogs but not for jumpy larger dogs!).

We currently do not own any pets of our own, so your furbaby will always have our undivided attention, affection and care. We fully adhere to Rover T&Cs for ours, yours and your pets security and safety. Anyone who does not comply will be blocked. Zoe works from home full time and Iona works hybrid. We are an active couple and love going out for walks along the seafront or exploring woodland and new local parks. We have a fully fenced and secure back garden. We have a roomy 3 bedroom house. “We have two big dogs, a Collie and a German Shepard and both can be hard work. Then can be difficult to find good carers for when we're away but Beth has been absolutely brilliant each time we've used her. She spent time getting to know both Dixon and Darcy so that they were so settled in her home, and it was hard to convince them to leave when the time came We will definitely be using Beth next time we're away for the weekend”
