“Benny once again loved his day with Joanna! We got regular updates with all the fun they were getting up to together! Joanna is always so responsive and professional too, thank you”

About: I have many years experience working with animals: I was a veterinary receptionist for over 8 years and received training in greeting and soothing pets. I also worked as a professional dog walker for 2 years, doing group walks, solo walks, doggy daycare and puppy socialisation. I have owned cats most of my life and love them, and have a particular interest in dog behaviour. My canine first aid qualification has expired but the knowledge combined with my experience in the veterinary field gives me a well rounded knowledge on dog care and health. I am comfortable dealing with all pets, from small furries to large breed dogs, and am comfortable giving at home medical care such as tablets, supplements and injections. I currently work four days a week in 5 hour shifts in Norwich City. Depending on location I can provide a drop in part way through the day so pets are left for 2.5-3 hours at most but this would need to be discussed beforehand. I can work from home one day a week so can be flexible in being at home with your pet if discussed in advance. I am happy to come to your home, live by your rules and follow your pets routine. I am comfortable with anxious and reactive pets. I can give medications confidently, including injectable.
“Karl did a great job looking after my nervous little dog, Tinker, who really seemed to take to him and enjoy his company and the walks. He sent regular photos and videos of Tinker, both out and about and in the house, to keep us up to date. Karl is very helpful and professional, and I would not hesitate to ask him to come again to look after Tinker.”

“Sasha was really great. She agreed to do our booking at short notice, came to meet us for a Meet and Greet, and made us feel comfortable from the start. She was calm and took her time learning about our boy, to ensure she had all the information she needed to care for him. She kept us updated throughout and left our place well taken care of. We will definitely be happy to leave our pup with her again :)”

“Emily has been so fantastic from start to finish our boy truly loves her! She’s so helpful & understanding and really caters to exactly what the dog needs. We’re so lucky to have met Emily and will certainly be booking with her again. She gave us lots of updates and the house was kept spotless too ☺️”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life from Dachshunds and terriers through to rescues and Labradors. I’ve recently retired and lost my companion Charlie so I’m hoping to invest my love in your precious one now. I’m recently retired so expect to spend all day with your pet, making them part of my life while they are with me. I live in a city centre maisonette and have a small secure outside space for fresh air, but there are also parks near me and all the smells and excitement of the city. I follow whatever exercise routine and rules you have at home. Pets can come on the sofa for cuddles if you allow that, and can either sleep downstairs or upstairs on the bed with me.
“We were nervous to leave the dogs but they were very happy when we were away and weren’t at all unsettled when we returned. Thankful for the last minute help and would recommend to anyone looking for a sitter.”

About: I have gained a lot of knowledge and hands on experience by providing services through this app and I am more than responsible to look after and show love to your fur babies! Hi! I am Anjeza, i also go by Annie. I am 21 years old and am based in central Norwich. I am offering my personalised services in pet sitting and dog walking on top of my part-time job as a childminder as I see nothing better than making sure peoples furry friends are kept safe and happy :) I am happy to supply 1-2 daily visits per client (for dog walking and drop-ins). As a pet sitter I will: 1. Always make sure your pets health and safety is my top priority. 2. Respect you and your home to the highest degree. 3. Always be honest and transparent. I am more than willing to provide daily pictures/updates if you are away from home! I am also able to do some spot cleaning/cleaning your pets toys and food bowls if need be.
“Cathy has a lovely way about her, and my dog instantly took a shine to her. I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care. I could tell he had enjoyed being with her as he followed her right out of the door when she was leaving. I will definitely be asking for her help again.”

“This was the second time we booked Teodora - our dogs love her, she kept us regularly updated and left the house very clean and tidy. We shall be booking her again! Thank you again Teo xx”

“Adeline was amazing! She arrived early and Marshall was having cuddles right away. She kept us updated and we felt very comfortable having her in our home. We will definitely ask her to take care of him again :)”

“Imogen is an amazing dog (and cat) sitter. Super friendly and it's easy to see she loves pets. Lily, our little dog, loved her from the moment she met her and we knew she was well taken care of. Would definitely recommend Imogen! Thanks so much for your help! Xx”

About: After my dog Lucy (a Patterdale Terrier and Jack Russel cross), who was part of the family for many years, passed away, I still loved dogs but wasn't ready for another dog of my own, so I began to dog sit. First I cared for Buster (2 year old Daschund/Jack Russel cross), then for Alfie (a 4 year old cocker spaniel), Pierre (a 6 year old wire haired Visla), and Betti and Jeff (Bernese mountain dogs). All of these dogs had their own personalities and needs. For example, Buster, who was a lot smaller than Betti and Jeff, needed a very different type of walk (he preferred chasing after sticks). I am used to adapting to the needs of the dogs I am taking care of, and will use this experience to bring the best care for your pets. I have done a mix of dog walking, and house sitting with all of these dogs. I'm currently working part-time while I study for my master's degree (also part time) so, other than the days I'm scheduled to work or go to a seminar, I have plenty of time to give to your dogs. I am always available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays all day, though I am also available on Thursdays until 16:30 and on occasional weekends. Safety and trust are my priority when working with anyone's pet, and I always ensure that I have met the dog, with their owner, in a relaxed environment before I begin the sitting services. My family dog came from a dogs home and carried some nervousness from that, so I know it can be stressful for dogs to have a stranger in their home. To help with that, it is always my goal to preserve your pets routine and keep them engaged and comfortable while I house-sit. I will also always treat your property with respect.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have trained them myself too. I’ve also looked after friend’s pets whilst they’ve been on holiday. I can look after any pets from when they are young to elderly as have lots of experience with my own. I seem to have an affinity with dogs, not only do I adore them but they also really like me. I’m an influencer so have lots of time and love to give to your pet as if it was my own. Available a lot. Your pet will always be safe with me as I have lots of experience. I’d make sure your pet is safe if out on a walk with me, be aware of surroundings and other pets. I’d keep your home locked and your pets safe inside when not out and about. Constantly making sure they have been walked, have enough water, fed and are happy.
“Dora looked after our two dogs at our home while we were on holiday. I booked last minute as our usual dog sitter was unwell but Dora was so accommodating. She came over and met me and the dogs beforehand - she was well prepared and so so lovely with the dogs. Dora kept us up to date during our holiday with pictures of the dogs who obviously took to her instantly. She is responsible, respectful and an all round lovely person who genuinely loves animals. I felt that they and our house were in very safe hands and I couldn’t recommend Dora enough.”

About: I've worked with animals in a variety of settings, including hospitals, kennels, rescues and zoological collections, and I hold qualifications in Animal Care, Animal Management and Animal Welfare. Over the years I've cared for dogs with a wide range of personalities, energy levels and needs. I understand that every dog is different, and I focus on providing safe, reliable and enriching care tailored to the individual dog. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your pet. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, companionship while you're away, or a little extra patience and understanding, I'll treat them with the same care and attention I'd want for my own. I'm happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before any booking so that you and your dog can get to know me and feel comfortable. I'm currently full time working as a dog walker and sitter, so I'm ready to work with you! Just drop me a message. I believe every pet deserves care that is safe, calm and tailored to their individual needs. Before any booking, I like to arrange a meet-and-greet so I can learn about your pet's routine, personality, likes, dislikes and any specific requirements. When caring for pets in their own home, I aim to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. “Steffi was really good with the dogs. She was able to meet the dogs before hand which meant they were excited to see her on the day. They were comfortable around Steffi and she was very good at keeping us updated, sending us pictures. We were really happy with her.”

“David is a good person who has looked after our Millie well . He has responded to messages when requested and appears to have enjoyed the long walks led by Millie ! Would recommend and have David back again”

Emily looked after our slightly nervous Labrador Heidi, and our two cats for the weekend. She came and visited beforehand and was very professional, friendly and calm with the animals - and us! She went above and beyond her duties, taking Heidi to the beach (with our permission) and kept us informed at all times. Emily let us know when she thought she'd broken a door handle (she hadn't!) and left everything in good order. Would definitely recommend Emily and shall ask her again to pet sit when we next go away.

Rex would give Jez five paws if he could! 🐾 He had an absolutely brilliant time, with lots of adventures, attention and, judging by the updates, rather a lot of fun. Most importantly, Rex clearly decided that Jez was his new best friend — which is probably the highest recommendation there is. From my point of view, I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Jez kept me updated regularly, looked after Rex wonderfully and took just as much care of my home. It’s a huge reassurance to find someone so trustworthy who genuinely enjoys spending time with your hound. I came home to a very happy Rex.

This is the first time that we have left our rescue dog Ani with anyone. Olivia made us feel at ease. She met Ani for an evening a few months before and Ani settled quickly with her. On the day of the overnight stay, Olivia kept us up to date with how Ani was doing. Ani settled quickly and there was no issue overnight. Ani seemed to love her guest for the evening, I would highly recommend Olivia.
Dora looked after our two dogs at our home while we were on holiday. I felt that they and our house were in very safe hands and I couldn’t recommend Dora enough.

Electra looked after our Wirehaired dachshund Lucy in our home while we were away for four nights and we came home to a very happy dog and a well looked after house. Electra kept us regularly updated and coped well with the peculiarities of looking after an elderly Dachshund! I would not hesitate to re-book Electra and I hope she enjoyed her stay here.

Liv is great and we feel much better about going away in the future, because we know our lovely cat and house will be in safe hands with her. She shared updates with us while we were away, came to meet our cat the week beforehand and left everything clean and tidy. She even bought us flowers for when we returned to replace the bunch that were already there before her stay, but had started to look really sad, which was a lovely touch. For anyone looking for peace of mind that their furry friend and home will be looked after, then we'd highly recommend utilising her sitting services. Thank you Liv for looking after Ace, we think he misses you already! :)

Adeline has been a fantastic sitter for our sensitive and reactive dog, and we very much plan to book her services again. She’s reliable and adaptable with a relaxed and friendly manner which quickly won our dog over. Adeline looked after our dog wonderfully - providing enrichment and lots of fun walks. Thank you!!

Ruth looked after my dogs and house just like I do with lots of love and care, she is so calm and caring with Bailey who is a nervous dog (he loves her now) and Bo Bo. Ruth kept me updated every day with photos and messages. She is amazing and i would have her in my home and look after the doggies anytime. Thankyou xxx

Libby was really great from beginning to end. She came to meet with us prior to the booking and accepted it at the very last minute. She was comfortable with our boy, and made us at ease from the start. Libby kept us updated, and was thoughtful throughout the booking. Our pup also seemed to enjoy their time together. We will definitely plan to book with Libby again.

Benjamin house sitted our boy for 5 days. Benjamin ensured he got to know all of Kody’s routines and characteristics before we left to ensure he gave him the best, individualised, care. Benjamin looked after him in a heatwave and ensured Kody got all the care he needed to stay as safe and cool as possible. Would highly recommend, thanks again:)

Imogen was an excellent dogsitter for my puppy, Winston. She was always punctual, incredibly attentive, and very nurturing with him. As Winston is still a puppy, it was important to me that his bathroom training remained consistent, and Imogen did a fantastic job keeping up with his routine. Winston absolutely loved spending time with her, and it was clear that she genuinely cared about his wellbeing. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such capable hands. I highly recommend Imogen to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dogsitter, especially for puppies who need extra attention and patience.

We wholeheartedly recommend Rhia! She's a lovely person who understands dogs and our babies got on with her very well. Rhia reassured us throughout the day by sending us pupdates, we are so grateful for looking after our precious doggies! We will definitely use Rhia again!

Lauren is an amazing pet sitter who genuinely cares about animals and their well being! Lauren looked after my senior cat, Mosby, for a week. Mosby is a high-needs cat who takes pills, insulin jabs, and was recovering from an oral operation. Lauren came over twice to learn Mosbys routine and gave plenty of updates throughout her stay. Mosby tends to get separation anxiety and can be a difficult cat to care for, but Lauren was a pro and I was so happy to come home and find Mosby so at peace :) Lauren is by far the best pet sitter we have had in Norwich and I would absolutely recommend her services

Natalie was a fabulous sitter for our 1 year old Labrador. Hudson was so happy & very well looked after. Natalie sent us lots of updates, which really put our minds at ease as this was the first time Hudson has been left with someone he didn’t know. Thank you so much Natalie for your time & the care you showed to not only Hudson but our home too. Would definitely ask Natalie to sit for us again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Norwich walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Norwich choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
