“Alice stayed overnight to look after Nobby while we were at a wedding. We were completely at ease knowing he was being well looked after. Alice also sends updates and photos which is always lovely to see. Highly recommend and will book Alice again and again.”

“Joanna has been fantastic looking after our puppy and two cats. This was our first pet sitting experience and she was kind with answering all our questions and arranged a meet and greet ahead of time to meet our pets. She also asked what their routines are so she can follow them, including training. She has been sending us pictures regularly and did lots of walking and playing with them all. When we arrived home all our pets were really happy and content. We already booked Joanna for future pet sitting and dog walking! Would highly recommend.”

“Grace cared for Jax in our home whilst we were away for a week. She was super attentive to his needs, we had some lovely updates each day and Jax had a great time. We will definitely be rebooking with you 😊”

“We have a high energy dog who loves long walks and is interested in anything and everything! Karl was fully committed to that and our boy had plenty of walks and play time and we had regular pictures and videos showing him having a great time. Karl is organised and takes the job seriously - we felt confident right from the start to leave on holiday knowing that we had left our dog in good hands.”

“Emily has been so fantastic from start to finish our boy truly loves her! She’s so helpful & understanding and really caters to exactly what the dog needs. We’re so lucky to have met Emily and will certainly be booking with her again. She gave us lots of updates and the house was kept spotless too ☺️”

About: I had my own pet sitting business based in Winchester pre-covid. I have looked after groups of up to 8 large dogs for weeks at a time and have always dog walked. I have my own dog which I share with an ex-partner therefore will be available during the times I am not looking after him. I currently work full time, however I have the freedom to work from home and manage my hours therefore I have time to stay at the property all day or pop back and forth should I need to attend the office. I drive and can manage any pet sitting jobs needed around the times of having my own dog. When staying at a pet owners home, ideally I want to stick to the same routine as you in order to now upset your pets in anyway, I am happy to discuss with you any routines and make sure I have clear feeding/medication instructions.
“We were nervous to leave the dogs but they were very happy when we were away and weren’t at all unsettled when we returned. Thankful for the last minute help and would recommend to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Poppy was amazing, and she did a fantastic job looking after our dogs. She kept us regularly updated and sending us pictures, and our dogs looked very happy. We will definitely be repeat customers. Highly recommend Poppy!”

“I was very anxious about leaving my fearful reactive dog for the first time ever with a non family member. Adeline went above and beyond to give me the reassurance I needed and create familiarity with her before I left. Adeline responded very promptly to my messages, and was calm and patient with my dog, socialising with her at my dogs pace. I would highly recommend Adeline to any anxious owners or for any anxious pets.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Teodora provided for Yohji and Kozo over the weekend. From the moment she arrived, it was clear how much she loves dogs, and our two couldn’t have been in better hands. She kept us updated with plenty of messages and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. But more importantly, she showered them with love and attention, making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We came home to two very content dogs and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Highly recommended!”

“We were attending a family wedding and our puppy had not been looked after by anybody other than family. Being unable to use them to dogsit we were therefore a little apprehensive. However after having a phone call with Steffi we felt very confident and this was backed up by the fantastic job she did looking after Enzo. Steffi made sure that she understood everything that was required including feeding time table and walk requirements. Enzo obviously enjoyed being looked after by her. Steffi was very flexible and was able to come 15mins early at short notice due to a slight change in the timetable. Steffi's communication was excellent while she was looking after Enzo and we were sent regular pupdates with photographs. We would have no hesitation in highly recommending Steffi to dog sit.”

About: I grew up around dogs and cats and always took an opportunity to care for my friend’s/family dogs whenever I could. I absolutely love spending time with animals whether it’s a walk in a forest, coffee in town, cuddle on the sofa, little training session or playing with their toys. I finally got a dog on my own last year from a puppy, cocker spaniel Daisy who is 1.5 years now 🥰 I currently work from home majority of the time, so my schedule is very flexible. I drive and can get to your home if needed, take dogs on a field/forest walk as well! I have a fenced garden in new development, it’s big enough for dogs to have a little play and run outside. It’s a quiet area, with a lot paths to walk, close to lovely fields and small forests for dogs to enjoy. I will always adhere to any specific rules or requirements around your pet’s safety and schedule. If needed I can separate dogs in the house, if they don’t get on with Daisy for any reason.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life from Dachshunds and terriers through to rescues and Labradors. I’ve recently retired and lost my companion Charlie so I’m hoping to invest my love in your precious one now. I’m recently retired so expect to spend all day with your pet, making them part of my life while they are with me. I live in a city centre maisonette and have a small secure outside space for fresh air, but there are also parks near me and all the smells and excitement of the city. I follow whatever exercise routine and rules you have at home. Pets can come on the sofa for cuddles if you allow that, and can either sleep downstairs or upstairs on the bed with me.

About: I've worked with animals in a variety of settings, including hospitals, kennels, rescues and zoological collections, and I hold qualifications in Animal Care, Animal Management and Animal Welfare. Over the years I've cared for dogs with a wide range of personalities, energy levels and needs. I understand that every dog is different, and I focus on providing safe, reliable and enriching care tailored to the individual dog. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your pet. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, companionship while you're away, or a little extra patience and understanding, I'll treat them with the same care and attention I'd want for my own. I'm happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before any booking so that you and your dog can get to know me and feel comfortable. I'm currently full time working as a dog walker and sitter, so I'm ready to work with you! Just drop me a message. I believe every pet deserves care that is safe, calm and tailored to their individual needs. Before any booking, I like to arrange a meet-and-greet so I can learn about your pet's routine, personality, likes, dislikes and any specific requirements. When caring for pets in their own home, I aim to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. I follow your instructions carefully for feeding, medication (where appropriate), exercise, enrichment and any household preferences. I treat every home and pet with respect, keeping safety and wellbeing as my priority. I provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. With my background in Animal Care and Animal Welfare, I understand the importance of recognising stress signals, maintaining a safe environment and providing positive, compassionate care for every animal.
“Jenna looked after our elderly Irish Terrier for a full week. Communication was great, Tilly was relaxed and happy when we got back. Jenna left everything clean and tidy. More than happy to recommend Jenna.”
“Sasha was really great. She agreed to do our booking at short notice, came to meet us for a Meet and Greet, and made us feel comfortable from the start. She was calm and took her time learning about our boy, to ensure she had all the information she needed to care for him. She kept us updated throughout and left our place well taken care of. We will definitely be happy to leave our pup with her again :)”

“Cathy has a lovely way about her, and my dog instantly took a shine to her. I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care. I could tell he had enjoyed being with her as he followed her right out of the door when she was leaving. I will definitely be asking for her help again.”

Milly was amazing with my mini dachsund. Mickey is a rescue and struggles being on his own. Milly house sitted Mickey for 5 days. We had 2 visits prior to stay and stay went really well. Mickey bonded well with Milly and kept me well updated with photos and videos. I would highly recommend Milly

Joanna was exceptional (again!) One of our dogs (a near 16 year old terrier) had a bit of a health scare and Joanna dealt with it all perfectly - kindly taking him to the vet, keeping us informed all the time and following his meds to the t. She also left our home completely spotless which was wonderful and much appreciated. She’s an absolute gem and we feel so lucky to have found her. You can be sure that your home and animals will be in very safe hands with Joanna!

What an absolute pleasure it was to have Angie cat sit for my little fur baby overnight. She gave me clear communication all the way through, popped round prior to go through routines and for me to show her the flat, she brought treats for Bo and after feeling quite nervous about leaving him (we have recently moved house) he took a liking to Angie immediately!! She sent me constant updates and photos and left the house spotless. Angie is evidently a cat lover and cats seem to love her too, she is also very sweet and friendly and definitely someone you can trust. Thank you again Angie!! I feel a lot more comfortable going away from now on xxx

After meeting and chatting with Oscar initially, we felt he had the right experience and attitude, and demonstrated an instant connection with our furry family members. When we returned home, all was well: our four-legged lovelies were happy and calm; the house was very clean and tidy. The only thing that could have been improved was Oscar sending regular updates whilst we were away. Not that we had any worries, this is just something we had asked for and have got used to over the years. We would still recommend Oscar beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Our two little babies could not have been in safer hands! Holly was an absolute delight and kept our cats super entertained and loved for our two days away. It was so nice to not have to worry about the girls and Holly is now our go to cat sitter! Thanks lovely!

Cherie took wonderful care of Minty, my elderly Border Collie yesterday. She is naturally calm and has a natural affinity with dogs. And, judging by the lovely photo of Minty having an afternoon nap, completely relaxed in her company, he really enjoyed his time with her too!
Emily looked after our slightly nervous Labrador Heidi, and our two cats for the weekend. She came and visited beforehand and was very professional, friendly and calm with the animals - and us! She went above and beyond her duties, taking Heidi to the beach (with our permission) and kept us informed at all times. Emily let us know when she thought she'd broken a door handle (she hadn't!) and left everything in good order. Would definitely recommend Emily and shall ask her again to pet sit when we next go away.

Rex would give Jez five paws if he could! 🐾 He had an absolutely brilliant time, with lots of adventures, attention and, judging by the updates, rather a lot of fun. Most importantly, Rex clearly decided that Jez was his new best friend — which is probably the highest recommendation there is. From my point of view, I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Jez kept me updated regularly, looked after Rex wonderfully and took just as much care of my home. It’s a huge reassurance to find someone so trustworthy who genuinely enjoys spending time with your hound. I came home to a very happy Rex.

This is the first time that we have left our rescue dog Ani with anyone. Olivia made us feel at ease. She met Ani for an evening a few months before and Ani settled quickly with her. On the day of the overnight stay, Olivia kept us up to date with how Ani was doing. Ani settled quickly and there was no issue overnight. Ani seemed to love her guest for the evening, I would highly recommend Olivia.
Electra looked after our Wirehaired dachshund Lucy in our home while we were away for four nights and we came home to a very happy dog and a well looked after house. Electra kept us regularly updated and coped well with the peculiarities of looking after an elderly Dachshund! I would not hesitate to re-book Electra and I hope she enjoyed her stay here.

Liv is great and we feel much better about going away in the future, because we know our lovely cat and house will be in safe hands with her. She shared updates with us while we were away, came to meet our cat the week beforehand and left everything clean and tidy. She even bought us flowers for when we returned to replace the bunch that were already there before her stay, but had started to look really sad, which was a lovely touch. For anyone looking for peace of mind that their furry friend and home will be looked after, then we'd highly recommend utilising her sitting services. Thank you Liv for looking after Ace, we think he misses you already! :)

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Norwich walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Norwich choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
