About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have trained them myself too. I’ve also looked after friend’s pets whilst they’ve been on holiday. I can look after any pets from when they are young to elderly as have lots of experience with my own. I seem to have an affinity with dogs, not only do I adore them but they also really like me. I’m an influencer so have lots of time and love to give to your pet as if it was my own. Available a lot. Your pet will always be safe with me as I have lots of experience. I’d make sure your pet is safe if out on a walk with me, be aware of surroundings and other pets. I’d keep your home locked and your pets safe inside when not out and about. Constantly making sure they have been walked, have enough water, fed and are happy.
About: I enjoy seeing other dog owners out and about with their canine friends and as I dont have a dog due to being a cat household I'd like to be with them by default ! I can do weekends and most evenings and some lunchtimes by arrangement so happy to be flexible around my work pattern and pet care needs I am happy to dog or cat sit in other homes but not my own. Am trustworthy and reliable and happy to travel where needed

About: I have always loved dogs and cared for them, I have grown up with dogs from foxhounds to staffs. I now have lots spare time as both the children are now at full time school and would love to fill my time caring for other people dogs 🐶 I have had lots of different dogs stay on our home from small puppies to cane corso! We recently cared for a Norwich city footballer dog for 18 nights so we can cater for short or long term stays. we have a very lovely and caring home and any dog would be welcomed as if it was our own. Both my children love dogs and are very gentle with them and love to give dogs plenty of attention. I currently work part time and the children are at school so have a lot of spare time and would love to fill that with caring for other peoples dogs I have a small fenced garden and have space in my dining room for a dog crate I also have stair gates at the top and bottom of my stairs
About: Other than looking after our cat at home, we have owned another cat years ago too when I was a child I helped care for, and we took in a dog for my cousin for 6 months who was cared for like another member of the family until he could go back home. I've pet-sat for friends before and used to walk dogs with my neighbour all the time. I love animals and am always keen to learn how better to interpret their behaviour and care for them to keep them as happy and healthy as possible since they do so much for us I work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7AM-5PM, so I can stop by early morning or later in the evening, or both. I cycle so can attend any day. Tuesdays and Weekends are very flexible. As stated, my home is a no pet rented household, so I cannot take pets in. When attending an owners home I would check on the pet physically, then attend to refilling any dry food/wet food, fresh water, emptying litter for cats or letting dogs out.

About: Fully Insured Pet Sitter & Cleaner with a Clean Enhanced DBS Hi, my name is Stacy. I'm 40 years old and a proud mum to two amazing sons, Mason (21) and Zach (18). My son Mason lives in York and I'm looking to do a paid petsit whilst also spending some time with him/his partner. Over the past 12 months, I've been caring for pets and homes across the UK and overseas. What started as a way to experience new places soon became something I genuinely fell in love with. There's nothing more rewarding than giving pet owners peace of mind while ensuring their beloved animals are happy, safe, and well cared for in their own environment. As a result, I recently launched my business, Homes & Pets, offering reliable pet sitting services alongside Home Reset support for people who may be feeling overwhelmed by household tasks, life changes, busy schedules, or simply need an extra pair of hands to get their home back on track. I am fully insured, hold a clean Enhanced DBS certificate, and take great pride in being trustworthy, caring, and respectful of both people's homes and their pets. Whether you're heading away on holiday, need someone to care for your pets, or would like support creating a calmer, more organised living space, I'd love to help. I am a 40 year old Mum to Mason (21) and Zach (18). I am looking for a cat sit in York as a way to see my son Mason and his lovely partner, Saffire. I'm a fully insured petsitter with an enhanced DBS. My son Mason lives in York for Uni. I was recently made redundant and so visiting him has proven difficult. I am looking for low maintenance cat sits so that I can explore, and if possible, where my son and his partner can come for dinner in the evenings. I have been petsitting around the UK and overseas for the last 18 months as a way to travel. I am happy to share my DBS check and my insurance details for your reassurance. I will take care of your home as if it was my own and give updates as regularly as you wish. My only request is that there are no cameras inside the home as I personally find this intrusive. of course, outdoor cameras are no problem. I am reliable, responsible and an excellent communicator.

About: Hi, I'm August, a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes! I’ve had dogs since I was 12 and welcomed my own pup into my life two years ago. Since then, I’ve been committed to learning more about training and behavior by taking classes, which has deepened my understanding of dogs' needs. In addition to caring for my own dog, I’ve had the pleasure of watching other people's dogs in both my home and theirs. I’m reliable, organized, and always punctual, ensuring your dog gets the attention, love, and care they deserve. I’m an active person who loves spending time outdoors, so whether your dog needs a brisk walk, playtime at the park, or just a little extra company, I’m happy to be there for them. Let’s make sure your dog feels right at home, even when you're away! Pet care easily fits into my daily routine as I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility. I’m able to accommodate different schedules for pickup, drop-off, and walks throughout the day. This allows me to spend quality time with your pet, ensuring they get the exercise, attention, and care they need without rushing. Whether it’s regular walks, playtime, or sticking to feeding and medication schedules, I can adapt to what works best for you and your dog. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I prioritize their comfort, safety, and well-being. In my home, I create a welcoming, secure environment where your dog is treated like family, ensuring they stick to their normal routines for feeding, walks, and playtime. When I care for pets in your home, I maintain consistency by following your instructions closely, whether it's feeding schedules, medications, or exercise. I make sure your dog gets plenty of attention, outdoor fun, and companionship, while keeping your home clean and respected throughout the stay.

“Olivia was a lovely catsitter to both my cats. She came a day early to meet them and get aquinted with the house, followed instructions carefully, played with the cats ,sent me photos of my lil guys and left the house spotless before leaving. :)”

“Olivia was amazing with our dog Ani. I was really worried as Ani does get anxious when we all leave her. However, Olivia made her feel so comfortable that she accepted her like another member of our family and does did her normal of disappearing upstairs to sleep on our bed. I would highly recommend Olivia who is a lovely kind caring sitter.”
About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for dogs and the care I put into making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. While I may not have years of experience, I make up for it with reliability, patience, and a strong attention to detail. I take the time to understand each dog’s unique needs, and I’m fully committed to giving them the same level of care I would give my own pet. You can count on me to follow instructions closely, stay in touch, and treat your dog like part of the family. I currently work for Royal Mail as a postman so I finish work at 1pm latest. I also work in the area where I live so can frequently come back for short periods of time to see the dog and let them out and give them anything they need In my home, I create a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where your dog can feel safe and relaxed. I make sure they have plenty of space to play, rest, and feel at home. I have a fenced garden for them to play freely in. I stick closely to their usual routine, including feeding times, walks, and any special instructions you provide. Whether it’s giving them one-on-one attention, playtime, or just a cozy spot to nap, I treat every dog with patience, love, and care—just like they’re my own.
About: Most of my pet care experience stems from having a rescue dog for 14 years, as well as looking after the pets of family friends. I have experience with puppies, adult and senior dogs. I am very adaptable to the pets needs and experienced in giving pets medication, if required! Since I am a full time student at the UEA, my schedule is very flexible. I live with my parents and my father works from home, meaning even if I am at university, you're pet will not be left home alone. My father has always owned dogs so you're pet would be left in good hands the times I need to be at university! Since I had a rescue dog, looking after him was in a way, a little challenging. I learnt to look after him by always prioritising his safety, health and comfort. This is why I can ensure to look after your pet with as much care as I have looked after mine!
About: I work a 9-5, but have a car and am happy to provide early morning and late afternoon/evening care, as well as being free on the weekends. I would provide excellent care to any pets I visited, making sure that any routines and comforts of theirs are provided for. I am aware that some pets are more sociable and cuddly, and others need their space, and I will be very respectful of their needs. Time management and organisation are key for me, so you wouldn’t need to worry about my time-keeping or forgetting to visit your pet. Our pets are part of our families, and I know how important it is that you trust the person they are being left with.
About: Hello! I’m Imogen, a loving, attentive, and organised pet sitter with experience in both paid and voluntary roles. Over the past decade, I’ve cared for pets of all life stages, sizes, temperaments, and breeds, including those with specific medical needs such as deafness, epilepsy, and limb differences. I always treat every animal as if they were my own. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and kittens, working with rescues, and supporting pets with particular routines, training needs, or individual sensitivities. I believe in creating a calm, comforting environment that respects each animal’s boundaries while giving them the affection and attention they enjoy. If your pet thrives on cuddles and play, I’ll be right there with them. If they prefer space and independence, I’ll ensure they feel safe and respected. I've also taught Puppy Yoga classes in the past, so I’m no stranger to a room full of excitable pups! I’m pretty flexible with my time and happy to work around your pet’s needs and routine. Just get in touch, and we can figure out a schedule that works best for you and your pet! I always prioritise safety and will follow any specific routines or rules you have in place. If your dog is crate-trained, I'm happy to accommodate that, but I'm equally comfortable having them sleep in the same room, or even the same bed, if that's what they're used to. My goal is to ensure they feel secure and relaxed while you're away. I'm also happy to provide regular updates, photos, or even live location tracking for walks on request. I usually work this out on a case-by-case basis with each owner. If you'd prefer to fully switch off and receive no updates at all, that's absolutely fine too. In most cases, I like to set up a private WhatsApp status, shared only with you (and a partner, if relevant). This is similar to an Instagram or Snapchat story. That way, you can tune in whenever you like to see what your pet and I am up to. I find this strikes the right balance for most people, offering peace of mind and unnecessary interruptions. I'll then upload all the photos and videos to Rover so you'll have a little Rover reel to enjoy at the end of the sit.

“We had to book a sitter extremely last minute due to an emergency; Kerry quickly replied to our notice and met us the next day; she was very friendly and kind throughout the process. We had specific feeding schedules and checks that needed to be made, she did them perfectly and we felt completely at ease knowing moose was in good hands.”

About: Hello to all! I've owned pets for more than 15 years. I communicate with pets better than human beings I guess 'Kukku' the Dachshund was with me for 11 years and we had to say goodbye on her 12th birthday. 'Rooney' is Kukku's brother and he still thrives to this day, happy and healthy. 'Whiskey' the Pug is the new addition to the family. He's 2 year old, energetic and naughty little dog boss in my home. I consider my pets my family, so my pet care goal is to always make them at home and look after them as my own with lots and lots of love. My availability will be updated in the calendar Please check it before making any bookings. I'm always happy to help so don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Will be taking them for walk and love to play with them. I get to be around animals so much and they're my favourite ever!
About: I grew up around dogs and cats and always took an opportunity to care for my friend’s/family dogs whenever I could. I absolutely love spending time with animals whether it’s a walk in a forest, coffee in town, cuddle on the sofa, little training session or playing with their toys. I finally got a dog on my own last year from a puppy, cocker spaniel Daisy who is 1.5 years now 🥰 I currently work from home majority of the time, so my schedule is very flexible. I drive and can get to your home if needed, take dogs on a field/forest walk as well! I have a fenced garden in new development, it’s big enough for dogs to have a little play and run outside. It’s a quiet area, with a lot paths to walk, close to lovely fields and small forests for dogs to enjoy. I will always adhere to any specific rules or requirements around your pet’s safety and schedule. If needed I can separate dogs in the house, if they don’t get on with Daisy for any reason.
“Ana did a fantastic job of looking after my two kitties while I was away. She was very quick to respond to any question I had, and kept me updated with each visit which put my mind at ease! I will definitely be contacting Ana in the future for cat sitting.”

About: I have plenty of experience caring for dogs! I currently have an Italian Greyhound/Whippet of my own and often look after dogs for friends and family. I love spending time with pups and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Hey! I’m a textiles student at Norwich University, and I live with my boyfriend, who works from home—so there’s pretty much always someone around. My schedule is pretty flexible as long as I get a little heads-up. Our place has a fenced yard, and there’s a lovely park nearby where I often take the dogs for a walk (usually with a coffee in hand!). Keeping the dogs safe is my top priority. Our home has a secure fenced yard, and I’ll always keep a close eye on them, whether we’re inside, in the yard, or out on walks. I’ll use secure leashes and harnesses on walks and make sure they’re never left unattended. Plus, since someone is almost always home, they’ll always have company and care.

Emily came for a visit to meet Griff a week before she had to sit him and made a really great first impression. She was really comfortable with Griff who can be a bit jumpy when new people first arrive. Over the weekend Emily was great with keeping us up to date with summaries and photos, and we came home to a happy dog. Would definitely use Emily again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

Olivia was amazing with our dog Ani. I was really worried as Ani does get anxious when we all leave her. However, Olivia made her feel so comfortable that she accepted her like another member of our family and does did her normal of disappearing upstairs to sleep on our bed. I would highly recommend Olivia who is a lovely kind caring sitter.
Katie looked after my Scruff with love and care. When I came home he was excited to see me, but relaxed, which is brilliant as he does have separation issues. She popped round before the 'official' visit to meet him and he took to her immediately On the day they played, went for walks and I got lots of lovely photos It was brilliant to be able to go out for the day knowing my fluffball was in such good hands Suffice it to say we will be booking her again, and again, and again...!

Jodie has been extremely helpful with walking/drop ins for our dog. She is quick to respond to messages, is very reliable and communicates well. Our dog is quite anxious and has been a difficult customer but Jodie has been brilliant with her and very understanding. She has been flexible and adapted to meet our dogs needs whether it is playing with her in the garden or giving her cuddles on the sofa. Jodie provides detailed updates during her visit which is very reassuring, especially since this is our first time using Rover. I would definitely recommend Jodie and wouldn’t hesitate to use her again in the future.
Georgia is such a lovely person came and met Myla the evening before to meet her and discuss arrangements Myla loved her wanting to play and bring her toys. Checked in with me and sent me photos of our gorgeous girl. Would highly recommend Georgia and we will definitely be booking with her again 😊🐶🐾

Teo absolutely fell in love with Bella, he enjoyed his time being looked after her for a few days and didn’t notice that I wasn’t around! New friend made for sure. Bella was amazing at keeping me updated and provided amazing photos of their adventures together. Thank you so much for looking after my baby boy! 🐾

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
