Safety, trust & environment
I always prioritise safety and will follow any specific routines or rules you have in place. If your dog is crate-trained, I'm happy to accommodate that, but I'm equally comfortable having them sleep in the same room, or even the same bed, if that's what they're used to. My goal is to ensure they feel secure and relaxed while you're away. I'm also happy to provide regular updates, photos, or even live location tracking for walks on request. I usually work this out on a case-by-case basis with each owner. If you'd prefer to fully switch off and receive no updates at all, that's absolutely fine too. In most cases, I like to set up a private WhatsApp status, shared only with you (and a partner, if relevant). This is similar to an Instagram or Snapchat story. That way, you can tune in whenever you like to see what your pet and I am up to. I find this strikes the right balance for most people, offering peace of mind and unnecessary interruptions. I'll then upload all the photos and videos to Rover so you'll have a little Rover reel to enjoy at the end of the sit.

Information Imogen R. would like to know about your pet
Before we set anything up, it's helpful to know key details about your pet. Are they good with other animals? Do they have any specific tendencies, triggers, or quirks I should be aware of? The more information you can share, the better. It helps me adapt my care to suit their personality, routine, and comfort levels, ensuring their time with me is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. I always really appreciate having written notes or a message with all the key details, including WiFi information and how appliances work too! For my own privacy and peace of mind while in your home, I'd also appreciate being informed of any security cameras, whether visible or hidden. Transparency helps me feel at ease, so I can focus fully on caring for your pet.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on enriching walks in open spaces tailored to their energy levels and preferences. I'm committed to keeping your pets happy, healthy, and loved while you're away. For me, pets are family and I take that responsibility seriously! I'm comfortable letting dogs off the lead, but I'd never do so unless they're trained and you give me your express permission. Trust is key. I usually begin with on-lead walks to build familiarity and a strong bond before making any decisions.

Pet care experience
Hello! I’m Imogen, a loving, attentive, and organised pet sitter with experience in both paid and voluntary roles. Over the past decade, I’ve cared for pets of all life stages, sizes, temperaments, and breeds, including those with specific medical needs such as deafness, epilepsy, and limb differences. I always treat every animal as if they were my own. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and kittens, working with rescues, and supporting pets with particular routines, training needs, or individual sensitivities. I believe in creating a calm, comforting environment that respects each animal’s boundaries while giving them the affection and attention they enjoy. If your pet thrives on cuddles and play, I’ll be right there with them. If they prefer space and independence, I’ll ensure they feel safe and respected. I've also taught Puppy Yoga classes in the past, so I’m no stranger to a room full of excitable pups!

Reviews

Imogen was an excellent dogsitter for my puppy, Winston. She was always punctual, incredibly attentive, and very nurturing with him. As Winston is still a puppy, it was important to me that his bathroom training remained consistent, and Imogen did a fantastic job keeping up with his routine. Winston absolutely loved spending time with her, and it was clear that she genuinely cared about his wellbeing. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such capable hands. I highly recommend Imogen to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dogsitter, especially for puppies who need extra attention and patience.

Imogen took brilliant care of Pepper for us. We were nervous about leaving her with anyone as, like all dogs, she has her quirks. But Imogen made us feel very comfortable. She gave up her time for free to come on a walk and visit us at home to chat and get to know Pepper better. We got lots of pictures and updates to put our minds at ease. It’s safe to say Pepper and Imogen get on brilliantly.

It was lovely meeting Imogen, Bertie my 9 month old whippet liked her from the word go with a tail wag in greeting. Imogen has a calm & kind presence - Bertie had a lovely time. I came back to a calm pooch which was lovely to see as he has struggles with separation a little from being a rehomed dog. Will be reaching out to Imogen again for future sits.

Imogen was absolutely brilliant with Bertie. We loved getting little updates while we were away and it was so nice to see how happy and settled he was. When we got home he was fast asleep and totally chilled. We’d book Imogen again in a heartbeat and would recommend her to anyone looking for a lovely, reliable dog sitter. 🐶🩵
