“Steffi was brilliant with lumi and communication was excellent. Keeping me informed everyday and let me know how she was doing. She took great care in understanding. Lumi's food requirements before the booking which definitely put my mind at ease .”

“It was a great relief to have someone as experienced as Kerry to help look after our cats, particularly when one was sick and needed different types of meds. She was very attentive to my instructions and communicated daily, at my request. Altogether, she was very helpful and clearly someone who loves cats. I shall certainly ask her again, should we need further help.”

“Tay was fantastic with Wogan! She was really easy to communicate with and really friendly when she came around before my trip, which put me at ease. While I was away, she sent lots of pictures and videos, and Wogan seemed very happy with her. Would absolutely book again, and recommend to others!”

“Teodora was great. Constant communication putting us at ease as this was our first time having a dog walker. She sent photos of Lola which was lovely to see. We will definitely be booking Teodora again. Thank you so much”

“I was so pleased to have Ann visit and feed my cat whilst I was away for a couple of days. Communication was easy and I felt confident that my cat was left in good hands, which indeed she was. Thank you!”

About: I have many years experience working with animals: I was a veterinary receptionist for over 8 years and received training in greeting and soothing pets. I also worked as a professional dog walker for 2 years, doing group walks, solo walks, doggy daycare and puppy socialisation. I have owned cats most of my life and love them, and have a particular interest in dog behaviour. My canine first aid qualification has expired but the knowledge combined with my experience in the veterinary field gives me a well rounded knowledge on dog care and health. I am comfortable dealing with all pets, from small furries to large breed dogs, and am comfortable giving at home medical care such as tablets, supplements and injections. I currently work four days a week in 5 hour shifts in Norwich City. Depending on location I can provide a drop in part way through the day so pets are left for 2.5-3 hours at most but this would need to be discussed beforehand. I can work from home one day a week so can be flexible in being at home with your pet if discussed in advance. I am happy to come to your home, live by your rules and follow your pets routine. I am comfortable with anxious and reactive pets. I can give medications confidently, including injectable.

“My first experience with a catsitter and Jo was everything I was expecting and more! Instantly put my mind at ease knowing that my cats were in safe hands, great daily updates and great communication. Will definitely rebook if you're available next time I go away :) Thank you Jo!”

“As always Imogen is a wonderful Dog sitter - she’s looked after Bertie since we got him at 8 months old and Bertie always gets excited to see her as well as seeming calm and happy with her. Imogen has been great and reliable, especially when needing last minute dog care and she communicates well throughout!”

“We had a great experience with Amy, who did two drop-in visits for Harry while we were away for the evening. Harry wasn't the easiest customer and gave her a hard time with plenty of barking, but she handled it patiently and persevered. It was a huge help knowing he was being checked on and cared for. We really appreciate her efforts and would happily use her again in the future if she'd be willing to look after Harry!”

“This is the first time we have tried a drop in visit, Andrea is lovely, very accommodating and we came home to a very happy dog. Would absolutely book Andrea again. Thank you!”

“My dog Spike is quite nervous and needs a slow, careful introduction to new people. From the very start, Electra knew exactly how to approach him—with patience, calm energy, and experience. It was clear that she understands dogs deeply, especially those like Spike who need a little extra care. Electra has had many rescue dogs of her own, so she’s well aware of the unique challenges they can bring. That experience really showed in how quickly she built trust with Spike. They bonded beautifully, and I could see how happy he was to see her! She’s reliable, kind, and truly someone I feel completely safe leaving Spike with. When I came home, he looked calm, content, and very well cared for. I’m so grateful to have found someone like Electra!”

About: I have always been obsessed with dogs from since I can remember and we got a family dog of our our just over 4 years ago. Murphy (the cocker spaniel) is now such a loveable member for our family! He loves long walks in the park/ forests. I grew up having hamsters. And would often look after family and friends dogs for them. Since moving to Norwich for work (and moving out of my family home) I’m missing constantly living with my furry friend. I go back as much as I can to visit him but I thought why not combine a love of mine to care for some more furry friends! I work as a youth mental health worker so I have full DBS and I drive! I am available for boarding, walks and check ins on weekends (Friday to Sunday). Mondays I work from home so I can do drop ins or walks in my lunch break. I can also do any evenings from 5:30pm. Message me for £15 off any booking for new rover customers! I am currently not offering for pets to stay at mine as I rent. But would love to in the future when living arrangements suit it!
“Anjeza has been brilliant with our cat Pepsi over the Christmas period. We were really nervous using a cat-sitter, but Anjeza was really communicative, which put us at ease really quickly. We looked forward to each Rover card, as it was clear our girlie was getting a lot of care and attention in our absence. In most pictures, Pepsi was curled up in Anjeza's lap - which I think speaks for itself!”

Hermione popped in to feed and spend some time with my cats, Elsa & Pebbles. She was absolutely wonderful to communicate with before the visit and kept us updated after her visit, including sending lovely photos. It was so reassuring to know they were being well looked after while we were away. Thank you so much, Hermione!

Jess wrote us a super update message and even sent a video of our cat, who is clearly very keen on Jess’ company. As well as feeding and watering, Jess gave Poppy plenty of fuss and tickles, exactly what is needed when feeling a bit guilty about leaving her home alone. Thanks Jess!

This is the first time we’ve used a cat sitter, We’re so lucky to have got Emma. She responded quickly to all our initial queries, she came and did the introduction and we couldn’t be more pleased with the way everything went with her. Emma gave us regular updates, taking extra care to leave more water in the hot weather. We can thoroughly recommend Emma and will not hesitate to use her again.
Leanne has looked after our cats beautifully and sent us lots of updates about them while we were away. Magic was worked on our slightly grumpy Nala who actually appeared when Leanne was in the house too. Thank you so much for looking after them both and for also finding our bin after it went wandering down the road as well. we'll be re-booking for our next trip away!

Steffi was absolutely amazing! She came to meet us before organising the booking and since we met her we felt very comfortable with her skills to look after our Daisy. In each visit she kept us posted of how Daisy was doing and sent fantastic photos. We really appreciate it when a sitter takes the time to provide a good updates ❤️

Mushroom was really well looked after. For a really shy cat Clare helped her feel comfortable and got to the point of wanting fusses and to play. We got lots of lovely video and photo updates. It was very nice to come home to a cat who clearly wasn’t at all stressed

I’m so glad we chose Tay to look after our cat Madam whilst we were away. She sent lots of updates and photos which put us at ease as we knew Madam was in good hands and getting everything she needed. Madam is usually quite shy and nervous of new people but had plenty of cuddles with Tay which says a lot. Thank you so much!

My first experience with a catsitter and Jo was everything I was expecting and more! Instantly put my mind at ease knowing that my cats were in safe hands, great daily updates and great communication. Will definitely rebook if you're available next time I go away :) Thank you Jo!

Sarah is an absolute gem of a sitter and I can’t rate her high enough, She went over and above to help with other issues , and my cats, although timid at first , warmed to her throughout the week. Daily photos received and I will definitely be a returning customer x

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
