Pet care experience

Reliable care when you’re not there🥰

Hi there! Thank you for considering me to take care of your beloved pet. Having grown up on a farm, I've been caring for furry friends all of my life and absolutely adore doing so. I have approximately 20 years of experience cat-sitting and 12 years with dog-sitting for friends and family. This includes kittens and puppies so I'm extremely confident caring for both. If you choose me as your sitter, I can guarantee I'll give them 100% of my love and attention, and keep them safe and happy whilst you're away. I understand how hard it can be to leave your pets, but please rest assured that I make it my highest priority to care for, protect and love your furry friend with all of my heart.

Both our dogs had a lovely weekend with Jo , lots of walks & fun activities. Jo was a delight to have in our home which she left immaculately clean & tidy . Jo is an ideal dog sitter whom I would highly recommend.

My first experience with a catsitter and Jo was everything I was expecting and more! Instantly put my mind at ease knowing that my cats were in safe hands, great daily updates and great communication. Will definitely rebook if you're available next time I go away :) Thank you Jo!

I had complete peace of mind leaving the dog and house in the capable hands of Joanna! She loves dogs, bonded really well with our 12 year old border collie and quickly worked out how to deal with the trickier sides of her personality. Joanna is completely reliable, provided us with regular updates of how our pet was doing and ensured the house was as we left it. We have already booked her in for more house-sitting!

Joanna was super this was our first time using a cat sitter so we were a bit nervous but Joanna was lovely. She helped us through the process and really took care of our cat. She also provided lots of pictures and updates and I would highly recommend her. We will certainly be asking for her services in the future!

Honestly we are counting our lucky stars we found Joanna. Right from the start she has been amazing - quick to reply, organised, kind and the dogs took to her immediately. We had lovely updates throughout the sit and she was clearly very careful about walking them when the temperature wasn’t too hot. On top of coming home to three very happy dogs, we also came home to an immaculate house and sheets already in the dryer. Joanna, you are a star and we can’t wait to welcome you back soon!

This was the first time we had used a dog sitter in our home. Dusty is a old stubborn rescue dog, who is reluctant to walk far. We needed not worry as Joanne was a wonderful sitter. She went out of her way to stimulate and exercise Dusty, and gave her lots of love. We returned to a happy dog and a clean home. I would highly recommend Joanne as a sitter who is very experienced at dealing with all types of dogs.

Safety, trust & environment

I know how important it is to trust that your home is being looked after too. So, whilst staying with your pet, I will ensure that your home is kept clean and tidy, and promise to leave it the way that I found it. I swear to take extra care of your home and your critter as if they were my own. I'm very used to "puppy-proofing" rooms from years of practice! As for boarding, my flat has a balcony and is on the 4th floor so isn't ideal for pets that are used to outdoor space at home or puppies who haven't been potty-trained yet. It would be perfect for indoor cats! I have ventilators on my windows so can keep them shut for your pet's safety and am currently adding a chicken wire barrier to the balcony to avoid accidents. I also have an electric fan for hot weather. I don't mind having pets on furniture or in my bed if that's what they are used to. Who doesn't love a midnight cuddle with their critter?😸 I am happy to take your pet outside for walks and toilet breaks as often as they need (the stairs are great exercise!)

A typical day

I consider stimulation to be key in animal development and wellbeing but sadly find that many don't get as much as they need. I consider looking after your pet as a full-time job and will put all of my energy into their recreation. This includes playing games, socialising with humans and other animals (if appropriate) and spending lots of time outside to introduce them to fun and interesting stimuli. I have two wonderful parks near my home that are perfect for dog-walking and running around!

Before entering an agreement, I'd like to meet you and your pet beforehand to make sure that we all get along and to better understand any particular needs or behaviours that they have. Previously, I have worked with pets that have arthritis, heart murmurs, breathing issues, seperation anxiety and hip dysplasia, to name a few. I am always open to learning new ways to care for your furry friend. Sadly, I can't care for "giant" dogs (45kg+) or more than 1 "large" dog (18 - 45kg) at a time, as I'm fairly small and not very strong.
