“Elizabeth took amazing care of our Otto (18 months, Alusky). She kept us updated daily with photos and stories from his adventures, and it was clear he felt right at home. Otto had such a joyful time with Elizabeth and Fergus, we couldn’t have asked for better care.”

“Sophie and family have been great with our dog Lana. Communication was great and we were sent updates which was reassuring. Sophie has been reliable, straightforward and helpful. We feel lucky to have found her!”

About: Myself and husband Alan were raised with family dogs and once married we got our first family pet Billy who was a golden Labrador. He was loved by all due to his temperament and behaviour around everyone and we were devastated to lose him aged 13. After 18 months we missed the companionship we always had with Billy and chose Mabel the labradoodle who was 12 weeks when she came to live with us. She became our 3rd child and was cherished from the start. Sadly we lost her aged 12 years and 6 months 2 years ago. Both our grown children now have dogs which we regularly look after when they go away. We both love having them for ‘sleepovers’ and love walking with the ‘grand’ dogs as they both fit into our family unit. Due to commitments we now have with 4 grandchildren we are not in a position to have another dog full time but miss the company and regular walks. We would love to have the opportunity to help people out on a short term basis. I work part time and look after grandchildren for one day. Alan works full time. Looking after a dog on a short term basis on the days we can where we are completely free to will mean we can give regular exercise & love. We have an enclosed garden for safety & security. All dogs will have full access to our house at any time they are here with us.

“I am extremely pleased with the way that Barnaby looked after my cat, Silk. He sent me photographs to show me what Silk was up to and how content he was, let Silk out in his garden as I had told him that Silk really loved going out, made him feel at home and generally looked after him really well. When Silk came back, he was calm, settled and content. Barnaby was also flexible with the pick up and drop off times, to accommodate my journey away from home. I shall definitely be using him again and would recommend him to anyone looking for someone to look after their pet. Many thanks, Barnaby!”

“Sejal was brilliant when looking after Monty on his first boarding experience on Rover. She regularly sent photos of him having the best time on some lovely walks and enjoying her and her family's company. He returned a very happy boy and I wouldn't hesitate to re comment Sejal to others! Thank you so much!”

About: I'm currently a university student missing her dog back at home who I've been caring for him since he was a puppy. Even before that I have always had love for dogs and all other furry animals. I have lots of experience with various dogs and pets as I have been petsitting and dog walking for friends for several years now. With my dog, I take a special interest in his veterinary care and I'm comfortable with administering medication as I have had to manage this for two years now. I am currently a student and only work part time, so I am flexible and have much time to really take an interest in your pet for long walks, pet sitting in the day and occasional overnight petsitting! I will be happy to look after your furry friend in the pet owner's home. I can make sure your dog is happy and comfortable by ensuring they are well-fed and enriched with walks and play as well as continuing training if its needed.

About: Since a young age, I have grew up with dogs. However, since moving out of my childhood home I very much miss having a little 4 legged friend. I’d love to be able to care for yours whilst you’re away! I work self employed in the community so usually home every few hours. I leave the house at 8:45am, back for lunch at 12/12:30 and then back again at 15:00. I have a fenced garden and my home is secure. They will be able to roam downstairs when I am out of the house. When I’m home they can have access to the full house.
About: Hello to all! I've owned pets for more than 15 years. I communicate with pets better than human beings I guess 'Kukku' the Dachshund was with me for 11 years and we had to say goodbye on her 12th birthday. 'Rooney' is Kukku's brother and he still thrives to this day, happy and healthy. 'Whiskey' the Pug is the new addition to the family. He's 2 year old, energetic and naughty little dog boss in my home. I consider my pets my family, so my pet care goal is to always make them at home and look after them as my own with lots and lots of love. My availability will be updated in the calendar Please check it before making any bookings. I'm always happy to help so don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Will be taking them for walk and love to play with them. I get to be around animals so much and they're my favourite ever!
“Thank you so much to Gayle who looked after my little Scnoodle Jodie for 9 days while I recovered from an operation. The peace of mind knowing that she was safe and happy, I am sure has aided my recovery. Gayle sent updates with photos and a video of Jodie playing in the garden. out on walks, sleeping cuddled up on the sofa and playing with other dogs and her family. Jodie has returned home calmer and really seems relaxed and content. I think she's had a great time! A big thank you and I definately recommend Gayle.”

About: I absolutely adore animals since I know myself and working with dogs has been one of the best things I could do for myself and also other people. I have been surrounded by animals since I was a child and I find life empty without them. Being self employed allowed me to meet lots of great pets and that gave me a lot of joy. I have recently opened my own business called “waggysniffsnorwich” on instagram where you can keep up with updates and check out my best pooches 🐾 I currently work from home and I can definitely fit a walk or visit around my schedule. I can also work remotely from any location. I can only have small dogs in my house and because I don’t have a garden they have to be trained or pretty well behaved.
“Sidney was looked after sooo well, Nick and Louise really love dogs and we're brilliant at giving us updates and photos of Sid on walks. Sid got on well with Flo, their pug which was great as Sid is a really social dog and this would have been fab for him to have a playmate. Thank you very much, we will definitely send Sid to you again xx”

“This was the 2nd time Honey has been on her own little holiday at Diane’s lovely home and couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter. Highly recommended always can relax knowing she’s being loved and cared for with updated pics and messages even a birthday message for my daughter from honey was so lovely and thoughtful. Thank you again will definitely be back for more dog sitting in the future.”

“First time using rover , Rhys had great communication and I felt really at ease leaving barbera and Stanley with him. He kept in touch with updates and my mind was totally at ease. Both dogs were very happy and calm on collection and remain so the following morning . Very reassuring knowing that the dogs took to him immediately. I was a little concerned about the city location , but with mousehold just around the corner , my concerns were instantly quashed . Thanks so much Rhys 😊”

“Cannot recommend Abi enough. Our boy had the absolute best time with her and Rory and Abi kept us updated and sent over lots of pictures and videos. She also gave us the cutest little 'staycation' card from his visit including a little pawprint. Thank you so much Abi 💙”

“Dudley had the best time with Charlotte, he is definitely missing Deezy! Charlotte kept me up to date with how Dudley was and I had no concerns whilst I was away. Highly recommend Charlotte to look after your doggy! 🤩”

“Obi had a wonderful 3 night stay with Cherie and the gang. We got regular updates which reassured us Obi was being well looked after which was very welcome. He come home a very happy Dog. I would not hesitate to send Obi again in the future”

“This was the first time Malky had stayed with Karolina and Daisy. Its always a bit of concern as to how your furry friend will get on without you. But I had no reason to be concerned at all. From the pre-stay meet up to the full stay Malky had a lovely time. Karolina gave regular updates followed all our instructions and was amazingly kind. Would book again without hesitation.”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Norwich
Izzy and Dan were fantastic hosts for my dog Lacey. She had a wonderful stay with them, full of lovely outings and adventures. I can tell they really care about the dogs they look after: Lacey was so well looked after the whole time. I especially loved the daily updates with photos and videos, which made it easy to relax knowing she was happy and having fun. I would highly recommend Izzy and Dan to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring dog sitters. Thank you both!

We couldn’t have been happier with the care Alfie received during his week with Gayle! We were quite nervous about leaving him for a whole week, but we immediately felt reassured knowing he was in such good hands. We received regular updates, photos and videos, which meant so much to us and allowed us to see that Alfie was happy, settled and having a great time. It was clear that he was very well looked after and given lots of love and attention. We are extremely satisfied and would highly recommend them.

Couldn't have picked a better person then Maria to look after our Ruby, we were a bit anxious as she has never been left with anyone else before and being a rescue dog she is very attached to me but we had no worries concerning her stay with Maria, we would highly recommend Maria to anyone looking for a dog sitter, we would 100% be booking with Maria next time we have to go away

Can’t recommend Jacques highly enough. We had total confidence that our girl Belle would be well looked after from our first meeting. Both he and Ann are wonderful people who really care about the dogs they look after. Daily updates (messages and videos) were welcomed by us. Belle couldn’t have been in better hands.

Amazing sitter! Genuinely cares about the animals she looks after and saved us after another sitter cancelled 3 days before our wedding day! We cannot thank her enough! She sent us lots of pictures of our dogs and I’m not entirely sure our dogs wanted to come home 🤣. 100% recommend!

Barnaby and his girlfriend were lovely and cared for our whippet Toby very well. We felt reassured he was being well looked after and Barns sent photos of Toby during his stay. Toby can be cheeky and try to play with things he shouldn’t (shoes are a personal favourite!) but Barnaby wasn’t phased by this. Thanks for a great stay!

Maggie had a wonderful week with Tierney and Lucy. Communication was excellent throughout and I received numerous updates and photos. Tierney and Lucy suggested a meet up beforehand, so Maggie could meet their lovely dog Gigi. Maggie can be a nervous dog but she returned relaxed and happy. I would definitely recommend Tierney and Lucy, thank you.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
