Imogen did a brilliant job looking after our Greyhound Bob. I know he was happy because he'd eaten his lunch and he tends to not eat eat when he's anxious. Imogen went above and beyond to organise Bob sitting as I was struggling to find anyone who could do the hours. Would definitely book again and recommend.

About: I had my own pet sitting business based in Winchester pre-covid. I have looked after groups of up to 8 large dogs for weeks at a time and have always dog walked. I have my own dog which I share with an ex-partner therefore will be available during the times I am not looking after him. I currently work full time, however I have the freedom to work from home and manage my hours therefore I have time to stay at the property all day or pop back and forth should I need to attend the office. I drive and can manage any pet sitting jobs needed around the times of having my own dog. When staying at a pet owners home, ideally I want to stick to the same routine as you in order to now upset your pets in anyway, I am happy to discuss with you any routines and make sure I have clear feeding/medication instructions.

About: I’ve had animals my whole life! I provide compassionate, dependable care for animals of all kinds from dogs and cats to reptiles and horses. What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach and my genuine love for every species I work with. I take the time to understand each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m experienced with puppies who need consistency and basic reinforcement, as well as senior pets who require extra patience, medication support, and gentle handling. I’m also confident caring for larger animals and exotics, which not every sitter offers. I treat every animal as if they were my own with attention, respect, and lots of love. I am also certified in Pet First Aid, giving owners extra peace of mind that their pets are in safe, knowledgeable hands, so you can truly relax knowing they’re in safe hands. Pet care is a central part of my daily and weekly routine, allowing me to provide consistent, reliable attention to the animals I look after. I plan my schedule around the pets in my care to ensure they receive timely visits, exercise, feeding, and companionship. Because I prioritise pet sitting in my routine, I’m able to be flexible and responsive to each pet’s individual needs, whether that’s early morning feeds, midday check ins, or evening care. My Instagram and Facebook is Allyses-Ark so welcome to take a look at my page ☺️ Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. Before any service begins, I arrange a consultation to learn about your pet’s routine, temperament, medical needs, and any specific safety requirements. This allows us to discuss things like secure harnesses or collars, whether your dog is safe to be off lead, recall reliability, and how they are around other dogs or animals. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your instructions closely to maintain their normal routine and environment, helping them feel secure and stress free. I ensure doors, gates, and enclosures are always properly secured, and I use safe, well fitted equipment during walks. I also carefully assess surroundings before introducing pets to new environments or other animals.

Dawn was absolutely wonderful in every way. She is conscientious, kind, and very reliable. She is clearly a dog lover and managed to quickly form a bond with our rescue dog (which is saying something as she is usually very wary of new people). We were provided photos and updates every day and it was such a relief knowing Maggie was in such good hands! Highly recommend - thank you Dawn! :-)

About: I’ve had dogs all my life from Dachshunds and terriers through to rescues and Labradors. I’ve recently retired and lost my companion Charlie so I’m hoping to invest my love in your precious one now. I’m recently retired so expect to spend all day with your pet, making them part of my life while they are with me. I live in a city centre maisonette and have a small secure outside space for fresh air, but there are also parks near me and all the smells and excitement of the city. I follow whatever exercise routine and rules you have at home. Pets can come on the sofa for cuddles if you allow that, and can either sleep downstairs or upstairs on the bed with me.

About: I have looked after many pets in my time from friends to family pets and would like to do it more frequently as a lover of animals. I am out of education and saving up for university in September. I work throughout the week in hospitality so I can work around schedules very easily. As i look after mostly dogs, obviously dependent on the age and breed i will take on daily walks or runs even in parks or beaches near. As my shift schedules are short i spend a lot of time hanging out and playing with pets. I am also extremely active so can made due with whatever needs they may have.

About: I have always had a passion for animals, which has led me to gain extensive experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities. I currently have 6 dogs of my own, with a variety of breeds and ages. I have raised each of them from puppies, giving me first-hand experience of caring for dogs throughout all stages of their lives. This includes puppy care, socialisation, training, adolescence, adult dogs and older dogs. Having multiple dogs with different personalities has also taught me how important it is to understand each individual dog and adapt their care to suit their specific needs. I run my own dog walking and training business Sophie’s Canines & Co, so caring for animals is my career and something I am genuinely passionate about. Through my business, I work with a wide range of dogs on a daily basis and provide dog walking, training walks, 1:1 training sessions, pet sitting and drop-in visits. I regularly work on areas including recall, loose-lead walking, obedience, impulse control, socialisation and gundog training. I also have experience working with dogs with different behaviours, confidence levels and training needs, allowing me to adapt my approach to suit each individual dog. I have plenty of experience providing care in dogs’ own homes, allowing them to remain in a familiar environment and maintain their normal routines while their owners are away. Alongside my practical experience, I have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, which I achieved with a Distinction. My studies gave me a strong understanding of animal biology, behaviour, welfare, health, nutrition, handling and husbandry. I am also DBS checked, fully insured, Level 3 First Aid at Work trained and a higher distinction in Level 4 Canine First Aid. I understand that every pet is different, and I pride myself on providing patient, reliable and individualised care. Whether your dog needs long walks and enrichment, a consistent routine, extra support or simply lots of company and cuddles, I will always put their welfare and happiness first. ❤️🐶 Pet sitting is a big part of my everyday life as it is part of my full-time job. I own and run my own business, Sophie’s Canines & Co., where I provide dog walking, training and pet care services. Because working with animals is my full-time career, I’m able to fit pet sitting around my regular schedule and dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I care for. I’m used to planning my days around the needs of the animals in my care and ensuring they receive the attention, exercise and companionship they need. For house sitting, I’m able to stay in your home and work around your pets’ usual routines, helping them feel comfortable and settled while you’re away. When caring for pets in their owner’s home, I always aim to keep their routine as normal and consistent as possible. Before any booking, I always offer a free consultation so I can meet you and your pets, get to know them and understand their individual needs and routine. This also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions and make sure you feel completely comfortable leaving your pets in my care. I take the time to understand everything your pet needs, including their feeding times, exercise routine, medication, behaviour, preferences and any specific instructions you have. I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, training, feeding, cuddles and companionship, as well as giving pets space when they need it. I understand that staying in their own home can be much less stressful for pets, as they are surrounded by familiar sights, smells and routines. I’ll also make sure your home is kept clean and treated with respect throughout my stay. Most importantly, I provide regular care, attention and reassurance so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pets are safe, happy and well cared for. 🐾❤️

About: Fergus and I love walking at a different place everyday in Norfolk. We go to Thetford Forest for sniffing walks, the coast when it’s very hot, rivers when we want to paddle. We live near the UEA so that’s our local walk straight out the door and into the woods. Fergus is my second Fox Red Labrador Murphy was my first and they both have had a placid nature with other dogs and enjoy tug of war or chasing round the house. We have a great enclosed garden for all pets so very safe and we are at the end of a Cul-de-Sac which means it’s a quiet area. My family have had dogs all my life from Basset hounds to Labradors with a Shih Tzu thrown in (not literally) so at 61 I am experienced. Believe me when I say your dog will be part of our family when they walk or stay with us. Most walks will be 1-2 hours 3-4 miles with biscuits thrown in. I have retired so my day is mostly taken up by walking 3,4 or 5 miles in the morning and a shorter walk in the late afternoon. I have a lovely grass garden with 3 areas for the dogs to explore. It’s all fenced and enclosed so safe and secure. I live at the bottom of a quiet cul-de-sac so few vehicles about. Also my home is a bungalow which dogs have the full roam of and can follow Fergus anywhere.

David looked after our spaniel and elderly cat for 10 days. He did exactly that! Doug (spaniel) bonded well with David, he was even allowed to sleep with him (as he does us). Our elderly cat Millie is a rather solitary and shy soul however seemed perfectly herself when we returned home. I would recommend David to look after your pets, he even watered the plants for us. Thanks David and we hope you enjoyed your stay with our pets. June & Mark 🐾🐾🐾🐾

About: Own a dog, so have experience through basic training, walking, caring for them. I can house sit with them for the extra care they need, with toilet breaks. Walking to the amount of km/miles needed for exercise, for the youngest of dogs, I can train them to do basics of sit and lie down. I will be available dates away from working, I can negotiate dates at work if needed. If there’s any questions, feel free to get in touch. If you have any specific walks or food, I can go out to do that. I feel better to work with smaller dogs due to having a small dog myself. I have select days off, will be able to work around things if needed to be able to suit needs for your pets, I can book specific dates off if required. I will be there to care for your pets in regards to walks, toilet breaks, walking, feeding and more! If you have certain requests, I can adapt those to the service.

I recently had the pleasure of having Hannah look after my dog, Bella, while I was on holiday, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, Hannah was incredibly attentive, ensuring I felt comfortable and safe leaving Bella in her care. She kept me updated with regular photos and messages, which truly put my mind at ease. It was clear that Bella was happy and well-cared for, and I could tell she enjoyed her time with Hannah. I highly recommend Hannah to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter! I'm pleased we now have someone who Bella can be with when we are away. Thanks a million Hannah :-)

Imogen looked after my cats for the first time recently, and I could not recommend her more highly. I have seven cats, all with very different personalities and needs. Some are extremely high-maintenance, some are incredibly friendly, others are very shy, and three of them have epilepsy and require close monitoring. It can definitely be a bit overwhelming for someone who isn’t used to a busy multi-cat household, but Imogen handled everything amazingly. From the moment she came for a meet-and-greet, it was obvious how naturally good she is with animals. Two of my cats immediately gravitated towards her, which I think says everything, as cats are usually very good judges of character! All of the cats absolutely loved her, and I felt completely reassured knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. She was calm, attentive, and clearly very experienced and comfortable around cats with different temperaments and medical needs. I’m so grateful for the care she gave my babies, and I’ll definitely be using her services again in the future. I’m very happy with the service Imogen provided and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring cat sitter.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred South Norfolk walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in South Norfolk choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
