I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I'll keep you updated with regular photos and messages throughout their stay, giving you peace of mind while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine,as I have fury friends of my own. As a part-time shift worker, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. On my days off, I'm home for most of the day, and even on workdays I carefully plan my schedule to ensure dogs receive regular walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of affection. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I do my best to stick to their usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled. There are lovely walks around the area I live and I enjoy planning new adventures for my fury friends. I follow each pet's usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions provided by their owner. I have a large, fully fenced garden where dogs can safely run, play, and explore under my supervision. Inside, they'll have plenty of space to relax and will be treated like part of the family, with lots of attention, affection, and companionship.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
