“Benny once again loved his day with Joanna! We got regular updates with all the fun they were getting up to together! Joanna is always so responsive and professional too, thank you”

“We can't recommend Zara enough. We were visiting the area with a 5 month old puppy and Zara very kindly puppy-sat in our hotel room while we went to a family get-together. Finn was looked after very well and thoroughly enjoyed his time with Zara. He slept well, so he'd clearly been kept entertained. Zara was easy to communicate with before the day and was very flexible in supporting an unusual set of circumstances. Would certainly recommend.”

About: Hello I am 40-something year old Lynsey :) If you're searching for a dog walker who is absolutely dedicated to providing exceptional care and looking after your fluffy friend like it is my own then look no further! Due to a recent change in life circumstances I now find myself able to revisit one of my passions and one I undertook for a number of years of walking and caring for your dog. Since 2009 I have walked, cared for and boarded dogs for a large number of family members and friends. Breeds I have cared for and walked over a significant period of time include Bull Mastiff, GSD, Golden Retriever, Working Cocker Spaniel, Daschunds and Patterdale Terrier. Between 2011 and 2015 I was a volunteer dog walker for my local RSPCA Branch near Dereham in Norfolk and was lucky enough to walk a huge variety of breeds regularly including huskies, mixed breed rescues, Staffies, Labradors, puppies and many more! I have home boarded Daschunds and a Patterdale Terrier for family members. I love the outdoors and am happy to brave it in all weathers to keep your furry family member happy! I love dogs but am sadly in a situation where I cannot own one of my own but will love your pet like it belongs to me. I am currently working part-time building a business so can dog walk flexibly depending on yours and your beautiful furry family member's needs during the week. I am a trustworthy and competent woman who will respect your home like my own whilst caring for your beautiful furry family member. I have cared for dogs in owners' homes many times.

“Imogen looked after my cats for the first time recently, and I could not recommend her more highly. I have seven cats, all with very different personalities and needs. Some are extremely high-maintenance, some are incredibly friendly, others are very shy, and three of them have epilepsy and require close monitoring. It can definitely be a bit overwhelming for someone who isn’t used to a busy multi-cat household, but Imogen handled everything amazingly. From the moment she came for a meet-and-greet, it was obvious how naturally good she is with animals. Two of my cats immediately gravitated towards her, which I think says everything, as cats are usually very good judges of character! All of the cats absolutely loved her, and I felt completely reassured knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. She was calm, attentive, and clearly very experienced and comfortable around cats with different temperaments and medical needs. I’m so grateful for the care she gave my babies, and I’ll definitely be using her services again in the future. I’m very happy with the service Imogen provided and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring cat sitter.”

“Ellen has sat our dogs a few times now and we are really happy with her level of care and responsiveness. We enjoy the updates and photos and we came back to a clean and well looked after house with two happy dogs. She was very kind to administer eye drops for one of our dogs and even watered our plants in the heat wave which was really appreciated. Thank you!!”

“We used Karl to look after our house and our 2 spaniels whilst we took a 5 day trip to New York. Karl was amazing. The house was taken care of and the dogs looked after really well. They were walked, played with and cuddled :) Karl also sent us daily updates/pics which was a really kind gesture. We would have absolutely no problem in recommending his services to anyone in need, and we will certainly be using him again when needed.”

“Olivia was absolutely fantastic and our cat was immediately comfortable with her. She did a great job looking after him and following instructions, so we came home to a very happy cat! She is very friendly and calm, and we absolutely wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to any pet parents ☺️”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats, and have always loved being around them, so I’m very used to daily walks, routines, and keeping pets active and happy. I’m confident walking dogs with different energy levels. This can be whether they need a long, active walk or something more relaxed, I know plenty of great local spots that suit dogs of all sizes. I’m often trusted to walk and look after dogs for longer periods, and I’ve also cared for cats in the past. I’m patient, attentive, and comfortable handling different personalities, including excitable or shy dogs. As a postgrad student training to be a teacher, I’m naturally organised, responsible, and always easy to communicate with I’m a PGCE Primary student, so my weekdays are usually full from about 8am to 4:30pm. After that, I enjoy staying active, so evening walks and drop‑ins fit really well around my routine. At weekends I’m generally flexible and able to help out, whether that’s regular walks, pop‑ins, or longer pet‑sitting bookings. I like keeping busy, and spending time with animals is one of my favourite ways to do that. I live in a shared house, so caring for pets in my own home isn’t the best option. Instead I focus on providing reliable, attentive care in your pet’s familiar environment. I follow your routines closely to help your pet feel secure, whether that’s sticking to feeding times, keeping to their usual walking routes, or maintaining any training you have in place. I’m patient, safety‑conscious, and always make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and well looked after. Your pet will always get plenty of attention, affection, and calm, consistent care.

“David looked after our spaniel and elderly cat for 10 days. He did exactly that! Doug (spaniel) bonded well with David, he was even allowed to sleep with him (as he does us). Our elderly cat Millie is a rather solitary and shy soul however seemed perfectly herself when we returned home. I would recommend David to look after your pets, he even watered the plants for us. Thanks David and we hope you enjoyed your stay with our pets. June & Mark 🐾🐾🐾🐾”

About: I’ve had my own dog for five wonderful years, and he truly opened my heart to all living creatures. We trained him ourselves from a puppy, and he has amazing recall and lovely manners. That experience taught me patience, consistency, and how important trust is with dogs. I regularly look after friends’ dogs of all sizes, small, medium, and large and I’m confident handling different temperaments and energy levels. I provide daily walks once or twice a day, sometimes including a run for more active dogs, and longer walks at the weekend for extra adventure and stimulation. Your dog would be cared for as if they were my own, with attention, affection, and plenty of exercise. 🐾 As I work from home, dogs in my care are rarely left alone and always have company throughout the day. I tailor walks to each dog’s needs, offering one or two walks daily depending on their routine and energy levels. There are always plenty of cuddles, attention and gentle supervision.. 🐾 Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. In my home, I provide a calm, secure and loving environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. I take time to understand each dog’s routine, preferences and any special requirements so they feel settled and comfortable. I maintain consistent boundaries, supervise interactions, and ensure doors and outdoor spaces are secure at all times. Walks are carried out safely, with close attention to surroundings and other dogs. I only allow off-lead time where recall is reliable and agreed with the owner.🐾
“Can’t recommend Alice high enough. One of my dogs has been very sick and needed special attention, I was quiet worried to leave her just in case but Alice was so confident to take care of her, that I went away so calm knowing my dog will be Fine. For my surprise my dog is actually loads better than before we left. The house and the garden are spotless and she even change the bedding for us as we were arriving late. I will definitely hire Alice’s services again.”

“Abigail looked after our dog for us while we were on holiday and he had the best staycation with her and her dog. We felt reassured he was having the comforts of a home away from home and were kept up updated with photos during his time there. Would definitely recommend Abigail she has a passion for dogs and our dog Reggie settled very quickly with her in her home! Abigail was brilliant and accommodating particularly as Reggie needed some extra care whilst he was recovering from a recent operation.”

Ellie B done a fantastic job looking after my 2 dogs whilst I was away overnight. Her communication including response times were first rate. Nothing was to much trouble for her and she made the entire experience easy. I'd have no issues using her again when the occasion arises. It was great to know my dogs were in safe hands.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Broadland walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Broadland choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
