About: I've worked with animals in a variety of settings, including hospitals, kennels, rescues and zoological collections, and I hold qualifications in Animal Care, Animal Management and Animal Welfare. Over the years I've cared for dogs with a wide range of personalities, energy levels and needs. I understand that every dog is different, and I focus on providing safe, reliable and enriching care tailored to the individual dog. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your pet. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, companionship while you're away, or a little extra patience and understanding, I'll treat them with the same care and attention I'd want for my own. I'm happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before any booking so that you and your dog can get to know me and feel comfortable. I'm currently full time working as a dog walker and sitter, so I'm ready to work with you! Just drop me a message. I believe every pet deserves care that is safe, calm and tailored to their individual needs. Before any booking, I like to arrange a meet-and-greet so I can learn about your pet's routine, personality, likes, dislikes and any specific requirements. When caring for pets in their own home, I aim to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. I follow your instructions carefully for feeding, medication (where appropriate), exercise, enrichment and any household preferences. I treat every home and pet with respect, keeping safety and wellbeing as my priority. I provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. With my background in Animal Care and Animal Welfare, I understand the importance of recognising stress signals, maintaining a safe environment and providing positive, compassionate care for every animal.

Anjeza has been brilliant with our cat Pepsi over the Christmas period. We were really nervous using a cat-sitter, but Anjeza was really communicative, which put us at ease really quickly. We looked forward to each Rover card, as it was clear our girlie was getting a lot of care and attention in our absence. In most pictures, Pepsi was curled up in Anjeza's lap - which I think speaks for itself!

About: I have been providing trusted pet care for family, friends, and neighbours since my teenage years. Growing up with three Staffies, I developed a deep understanding of dog behaviour early on. I have also loved and raised two dogs of my own: an Old Time Bulldog and, more recently, Trixie, our sweet Romanian rescue. I am highly comfortable with different breeds, histories, and rescue backgrounds. Our household is also home to two friendly indoor cats. one curious and one shy! We are also well-versed in feline personalities and boundaries. I would love to open up our home to care for your pets with the exact same love, attention, and dedication we give our own. My partner and I both work full time with a hybrid office and work from home schedule. Our routines are perfectly balanced so that at least one of us is almost always at home during the day. We can provide dedicated attention, frequent toilet breaks and walks, and companionship during the week and throughout the weekend. In our home, your pet becomes a true part of the family. We have a large, secure, fenced garden that is perfect for zoomies, sniffing, and safe playtime. Because one of us is almost always working from home, your dog will enjoy a natural, stress free routine filled with companionship, regular toilet breaks, and plenty of sofa cuddles. We absolutely love going for walks and will tailor the outdoor time to your dog's specific energy levels, whether that means an active trek or a gentle sniff walk. Since we have two indoor cats, we keep guest dogs in our main living areas and can use secure separation when needed to ensure everyone feels entirely safe and relaxed. When caring for your pets in your own home, my absolute priority is maintaining their normal, comforting routine. I will follow your exact instructions for feeding, medication, and sleep setups. For dogs, I love taking them out for their favourite local walks and ensuring they get plenty of outdoor exercise and stimulation. For cats and smaller pets, I dedicate focused time to interactive play or quiet companionship, depending on their personality. I am extremely respectful of your space, keeping your home perfectly clean, secure, and tidy. I will also send regular photo updates so you have total peace of mind 😊

Kirsty was absolutely brilliant. We really appreciated the way how she came across, considering our dog (Riesenschnauzer) could be not (potentially) a easy dog. Instead , since the first moment was very clear to me she knows what to do and she follows all the instruction. I trust her. Only a few days but felt everything was okay. We will definitely get in touch with her again, whenever we will need. Thanks Again Kirsty.

About: Fully Insured Pet Sitter & Cleaner with a Clean Enhanced DBS Hi, my name is Stacy. I'm 40 years old and a proud mum to two amazing sons, Mason (21) and Zach (18). My son Mason lives in York and I'm looking to do a paid petsit whilst also spending some time with him/his partner. Over the past 12 months, I've been caring for pets and homes across the UK and overseas. What started as a way to experience new places soon became something I genuinely fell in love with. There's nothing more rewarding than giving pet owners peace of mind while ensuring their beloved animals are happy, safe, and well cared for in their own environment. As a result, I recently launched my business, Homes & Pets, offering reliable pet sitting services alongside Home Reset support for people who may be feeling overwhelmed by household tasks, life changes, busy schedules, or simply need an extra pair of hands to get their home back on track. I am fully insured, hold a clean Enhanced DBS certificate, and take great pride in being trustworthy, caring, and respectful of both people's homes and their pets. Whether you're heading away on holiday, need someone to care for your pets, or would like support creating a calmer, more organised living space, I'd love to help. I am a 40 year old Mum to Mason (21) and Zach (18). I am looking for a cat sit in York as a way to see my son Mason and his lovely partner, Saffire. I'm a fully insured petsitter with an enhanced DBS. My son Mason lives in York for Uni. I was recently made redundant and so visiting him has proven difficult. I am looking for low maintenance cat sits so that I can explore, and if possible, where my son and his partner can come for dinner in the evenings. I have been petsitting around the UK and overseas for the last 18 months as a way to travel. I am happy to share my DBS check and my insurance details for your reassurance. I will take care of your home as if it was my own and give updates as regularly as you wish. My only request is that there are no cameras inside the home as I personally find this intrusive. of course, outdoor cameras are no problem. I am reliable, responsible and an excellent communicator.

About: I have taken care of many dogs since I was about 7, when we got our first rescue dog (King Charles Cavalier x Cocker Spaniel). I have always loved dogs and wanted to be involved in taking care of our pets. Later on we got two more rescues (Border Collies) and I had to learn how to make them feel safe and happy. Over the years I have spent lots of time taking care of them and taking them on walks. I have also fostered a dog while looking for its new home and taken care of my neighbours and friend’s dogs while they are away. I am currently working part time but I am looking to make this my full time job so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. My current job is also very flexible so I am able to work around it easily. Everyone has their own rules for their pets and I would like to help you stick to those rules or training for your dog so whatever your pet needs let me know and I’m happy to help.

Every animal is unique, and I take pride in providing tailored care that suits their individual needs and personalities. I am fully DBS checked, insured, and trained in canine first aid, so you can feel confident knowing your pets are in safe, capable hands. About: Hello I am 40-something year old Lynsey :) If you're searching for a dog walker who is absolutely dedicated to providing exceptional care and looking after your fluffy friend like it is my own then look no further! Due to a recent change in life circumstances I now find myself able to revisit one of my passions and one I undertook for a number of years of walking and caring for your dog. Since 2009 I have walked, cared for and boarded dogs for a large number of family members and friends. Breeds I have cared for and walked over a significant period of time include Bull Mastiff, GSD, Golden Retriever, Working Cocker Spaniel, Daschunds and Patterdale Terrier. Between 2011 and 2015 I was a volunteer dog walker for my local RSPCA Branch near Dereham in Norfolk and was lucky enough to walk a huge variety of breeds regularly including huskies, mixed breed rescues, Staffies, Labradors, puppies and many more! I have home boarded Daschunds and a Patterdale Terrier for family members. I love the outdoors and am happy to brave it in all weathers to keep your furry family member happy! I love dogs but am sadly in a situation where I cannot own one of my own but will love your pet like it belongs to me. I am currently working part-time building a business so can dog walk flexibly depending on yours and your beautiful furry family member's needs during the week. I am a trustworthy and competent woman who will respect your home like my own whilst caring for your beautiful furry family member. I have cared for dogs in owners' homes many times.

Karl is clearly an experienced dog owner and sitter, and was excellent with my dog Fret, who has a problematic fear of strangers. He knew exactly how to behave with her at first meeting and she very quickly came to trust him. He has helped me enormously during a tricky time having to leave Fret at home, and was always quick to respond to messages—I would trust him with any dog, he really is a pro. Thanks Karl!

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Broadland pet parents with similar pet households.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Broadland choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
