“Maximus seemed to have a lovely time at Leanna's, he didn't want much of a walk and Leanna took that in board and when I came to pick him up he didn't want to leave although partly because it was raining! I have already booked another day care session with her.”

“Amazing! Great giving me lots of information and asking questions prior to our first visit. So friendly and welcoming when dropping him off and then updates and photos in the day - just the reassurance I didn’t know I wanted! At pick up he was so happy playing barely noticed me! Will certainly be recommending and re-using Amy! 🖤”

“Pinar has been absolutely wonderful with our puppy, Wesley, and always takes such good care of him. Their dog is lovely and Wesley loves to play with him. Wesley is now excited to be dropped off and loves to see the other dog(s). Pinar is great at sending videos and photos throughout the day of Wesley’s stay and is always very honest about how he has been (e.g. will tell me if he had an accident). They are genuinely lovely people and we always look forward to going back!”

About: I enjoy looking after both dogs and cats my passion shows and i have been booked repeatedly by past clients I have no Pets myself I am currently semi retired which leaves me time to provide my pet care to those in work or on holiday I am able to meet the needs of your pets. I have a spacious house with a lovely sized garden which is safe and secure for your pets I am withing walking distance of local parks and walks.
About: I have been providing trusted pet care for family, friends, and neighbours since my teenage years. Growing up with three Staffies, I developed a deep understanding of dog behaviour early on. I have also loved and raised two dogs of my own: an Old Time Bulldog and, more recently, Trixie, our sweet Romanian rescue. I am highly comfortable with different breeds, histories, and rescue backgrounds. Our household is also home to two friendly indoor cats. one curious and one shy! We are also well-versed in feline personalities and boundaries. I would love to open up our home to care for your pets with the exact same love, attention, and dedication we give our own. My partner and I both work full time with a hybrid office and work from home schedule. Our routines are perfectly balanced so that at least one of us is almost always at home during the day. We can provide dedicated attention, frequent toilet breaks and walks, and companionship during the week and throughout the weekend. In our home, your pet becomes a true part of the family. We have a large, secure, fenced garden that is perfect for zoomies, sniffing, and safe playtime. Because one of us is almost always working from home, your dog will enjoy a natural, stress free routine filled with companionship, regular toilet breaks, and plenty of sofa cuddles. We absolutely love going for walks and will tailor the outdoor time to your dog's specific energy levels, whether that means an active trek or a gentle sniff walk. Since we have two indoor cats, we keep guest dogs in our main living areas and can use secure separation when needed to ensure everyone feels entirely safe and relaxed. When caring for your pets in your own home, my absolute priority is maintaining their normal, comforting routine. I will follow your exact instructions for feeding, medication, and sleep setups. For dogs, I love taking them out for their favourite local walks and ensuring they get plenty of outdoor exercise and stimulation. For cats and smaller pets, I dedicate focused time to interactive play or quiet companionship, depending on their personality. I am extremely respectful of your space, keeping your home perfectly clean, secure, and tidy. I will also send regular photo updates so you have total peace of mind 😊
“Jess was absolutely amazing with Bailey! From the moment he arrived, she made him feel so welcome and comfortable. He also got on brilliantly with her two lovely dogs, which was really nice to see and meant he had some great company while he was there. 🐶❤️ Jess kept me updated and I felt completely reassured knowing Bailey was happy, settled and being so well looked after. He clearly had a lovely time and came home happy and content. I’m so grateful to Jess for taking such good care of him, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring, trustworthy and experienced. We’ll definitely be booking with Jess again! 🐾💕”

About: Hi there! Thank you for considering me to take care of your beloved pet. Having grown up on a farm, I've been caring for furry friends all of my life and absolutely adore doing so. I have approximately 20 years of experience cat-sitting and 12 years with dog-sitting for friends and family. This includes kittens and puppies so I'm extremely confident caring for both. If you choose me as your sitter, I can guarantee I'll give them 100% of my love and attention, and keep them safe and happy whilst you're away. I understand how hard it can be to leave your pets, but please rest assured that I make it my highest priority to care for, protect and love your furry friend with all of my heart. I'm currently not working so I'm very flexible and have all the time in the world to care for your furry friend. I am happy to board, house-sit and walk your pet. I know how important it is to trust that your home is being looked after too. So, whilst staying with your pet, I will ensure that your home is kept clean and tidy, and promise to leave it the way that I found it. I swear to take extra care of your home and your critter as if they were my own. I'm very used to "puppy-proofing" rooms from years of practice! As for boarding, my flat has a balcony and is on the 4th floor so isn't ideal for pets that are used to outdoor space at home or puppies who haven't been potty-trained yet. It would be perfect for indoor cats! I have ventilators on my windows so can keep them shut for your pet's safety and am currently adding a chicken wire barrier to the balcony to avoid accidents. I also have an electric fan for hot weather. I don't mind having pets on furniture or in my bed if that's what they are used to. Who doesn't love a midnight cuddle with their critter?😸 I am happy to take your pet outside for walks and toilet breaks as often as they need (the stairs are great exercise!)

About: I absolutely adore animals since I know myself and working with dogs has been one of the best things I could do for myself and also other people. I have been surrounded by animals since I was a child and I find life empty without them. Being self employed allowed me to meet lots of great pets and that gave me a lot of joy. I have recently opened my own business called “waggysniffsnorwich” on instagram where you can keep up with updates and check out my best pooches 🐾 I currently work from home and I can definitely fit a walk or visit around my schedule. I can also work remotely from any location. I can only have small dogs in my house and because I don’t have a garden they have to be trained or pretty well behaved.
“Kazoo had a good time with Sylvia. She was punctual, responded to messages quickly, and sent us updates throughout her stay. We also forgot her water bottle but Sylvia brought it round the next day.”

“We were travelling to Norwich for a family wedding but did not want to leave our French Bulldog Claude in kennels. Cara looked after him over the weekend. As soon as I met her I knew that he would be well looked after! I felt completely at ease and Claude was quite happy to stay with Cara. She was a wonderful sitter and a lovely person. Claude had a great time and we were able to enjoy our wedding. I would not hesitate to recommend Cara. She went above and beyond to help us during our stay - even bringing Claude back to our Airbnb. Thank you so much you’re a star!”

“Mabel had a lovely day. She was so happy to go in and didn’t want to leave! Ruth was really prompt with all communication and sent me some photos of Mabel’s stay. Will definitely be back.”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life from Dachshunds and terriers through to rescues and Labradors. I’ve recently retired and lost my companion Charlie so I’m hoping to invest my love in your precious one now. I’m recently retired so expect to spend all day with your pet, making them part of my life while they are with me. I live in a city centre maisonette and have a small secure outside space for fresh air, but there are also parks near me and all the smells and excitement of the city. I follow whatever exercise routine and rules you have at home. Pets can come on the sofa for cuddles if you allow that, and can either sleep downstairs or upstairs on the bed with me.
“Darcie had the most lovely day and has come back from Charlotte’s ready for a good nap! Also a lovely touch was her “report card” for the day.. written by Darcie telling us about her adventures!”

About: Hi! I’m Caitlin, a huge dog lover and proud owner of my Fox Red Labrador, Wesley 🐾 I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable leaving your dog with someone else, so I’d love to provide a safe, loving home away from home environment while you’re away. I’m used to all the fun (and chaos!) that comes with having a dog and understand that every pup has their own personality, routine and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing, cuddles on the sofa or simply having someone around, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention and feel settled and happy. I’m reliable, caring and would treat your dog exactly as I’d want Wesley to be treated. I’m also happy to keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away, because I know you’ll probably want to see what they’re getting up to! 🥰 I’d love to get to know you and your dog and hopefully become their favourite home away from home. I work full time from home, so I have plenty of flexibility around caring for your dog. I’m available for boarding throughout weekends and can accommodate weekday bookings depending on my work schedule. I have a secure, fenced garden and a friendly Labrador, Wesley, who loves having other dogs around. I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable and part of the family. I’m also happy to follow their usual routine, including walks, feeding and crate sleeping if needed. Wesley gets walked 2-3 times a day in the woodlands opposite our estate. He also loves his trips to the park and the beach! 🏝️

About: I’ve had dogs since as far back as I can remember. Have had a Labrador, a boxer and then staffies. Loved them all!! Will love yours too I’m patient but firm and have loads of time on my hands for long walks. I have a huge park and marriotts way on my doorstep. I like to vary walks as it’s more stimulating for the dog. I work 2 days a week. These can be on different days so I can be quite flexible. I have my own dog so it’s a minimum 2 x 1 hour walk a day. My back garden is completely fenced in and I have dog seat belts in my car. Dogs can lie on my couch, mine does!! If I were to walk your dog I would prefer to do it separately as I feel it’s safer with a dog that’s new to me

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
