We had two brilliant experiences with Roxanne. She looked after my dog for the day and then on another occasion she looked after her for 3 nights while we were on holiday. Both times I felt very reassured by Roxanne. I can be quite nervous leaving Delilah to be looked after by others but Roxanne kept me updated with plenty of lovely messages and photos. When we met for a meet and greet it was clear how much Roxanne loves animals and what a good relationship she has with them. After the initial meet and greet I was much happier leaving Delilah with her. I would definitely recommend Roxanne to anyone and also will ask her to look after Delilah in the future. My house was left immaculate too.

About: I retired in February 2025 after working in the NHS and private healthcare sector for over 35 years as a speech and language therapist) / service manager. My career enabled me to work around the world in a wide range of settings and with some amazing people. I am now wanting to start a new chapter in my life which will allow for flexibility of working and will tap into my passion for animals and nature. My years as a therapist and manager means that I have many transferable skills, knowledge and qualities which I believe fit well into the role as a pet sitter and boarder. My love for animals started when I was a child when we had guinea pigs, tortoises and fish. Over the years, I have looked after family dogs and cats and used to walk an elderly lady’s dog when I was a volunteer for the Cinnamon Trust. Last year, I looked after a wonderful 12-year-old Border Terrier for 2 months at my house while his owners were abroad. This was an amazing experience and confirmed to me of my love of animals and my desire to pursue a career in pet sitting. I am a car driver / owner and have an up-to-date DBS. I am trained in basic life support, moving and handling, infection control and food safety and handling. I have recently completed a diploma in ‘Pet Sitting and Dog Walking’ provided by Reed Courses and ‘Dog first aid and CPR’ course with distinction provided by UKRLP. Licensed with North Tyneside Council (The Animal Welfare Regulations 2018): Licence Number 25/0987/ANIMAL Since retiring in February 2025, I am now free to concentrate on establishing myself as a professional pet sitter / dog walker and have the flexibility to be able to do this. I live in a 3 bedroomed house which has an enclosed and secure backyard. The downstairs floors are wooden. I am aware of the importance of ensuring a safe and secure environment for a pet which provides the correct levels of physical and mental stimulation for the individual. Liaising with the owner about their pet's care needs, routines and behaviours are key to ensuring a happy and safe pet.

About: I born in a farm, with all sorts of animals. I always wanted a dog and for 6 years I got the best friend I could ask for, until he died of epilepsy. I know how tricky it is sometimes to balance work, studies, trips, etc. I had to use these services before, so now that I have plenty of time I thought I could be of some help for others. I work nearby and me and my housemate arrange everything so your precious will not feel lonely. I can do early walks and long walks in the evenings I love pet cuddles and I'll follow their routines and preferences and needs. I can also help with their training or teach them games and rules.

About: I’ve looked after my own, friends and neighbours dogs from a young age and they have relied on me for dog walking duties, overnight stays and feeding. My family had 4 spaniels when I was younger so I’m very used to looking after dogs with lots of energy and ensuring they receive the correct amount of exercise. My family fostered dogs when I was younger so I have a range of experience looking after lots of different breeds. I don’t currently have any pets and I miss the company that a dog brings. I’m very friendly, caring and loyal individual who throughly enjoys the company of four legged friends. I thoroughly enjoy taking dogs out on walks long or short and I am happy to have them on or off the lead whichever you prefer. I live in a great area for dog walks and I always provide pictures, videos and updates of your pet throughout their stay. I can work from home when needed so I am flexible on those days. Im an early riser and I enjoy a early walk with your dog before I start work. Im available most weekends for boarding. I have a gated front yard and a fully fenced back garden. I also live in a great area for dog walking with a lot of land that is away from traffic.

About: Cat sitting + Clinical researcher - Newcastle upon Tyne, around Newcastle upon Tyne city centre till Howdon/Wallsend, UK Cats have been a part of my life since I was 11 years old, and my love for them has only grown over the years. Since moving to Newcastle, UK, I’ve helped friends care for their cats, and in 2017, I adopted my own beloved black cat who has been my loyal companion ever since. Through my experience, I’ve encountered & managed a diverse range of cat care situations, including: ✔ Feeding difficulties & picky eaters ✔ Managing constipation & digestive issues ✔ Post-surgery aftercare & recovery support ✔ Providing comfort, cuddles & companionship Cats are more than just pets to me, they are a fundamental part of my life... As a devoted cat lover, I understand their behaviours, emotions & needs. Being a cat sitter isn’t purely a job; it’s a passion... With a genuine heart for feline care, I am committed to ensuring every cat feels safe, comfortable & well cared for in my presence. As a dedicated cat sitter, I understand that every cat has a unique personality & their comfort, health is my top priority... Some cats are independent, while others need extra attention & reassurance - especially when faced with a new person. I take the time to build trust, ensuring each cat feels relaxed & at ease in my care. 🐾Tailored Care for Every Cat🐾 Clear communication with owners is essential to providing the best possible care. Whether your cat needs feeding, fresh water replenishment litter box maintenance, cuddles, grooming, medication administration (including injections), or close observation, I will follow your instructions carefully, thoroughly & attentively. Each visit usually lasts between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your requests & your cat’s needs. 🐾Reliable & Transparent Service🐾 To give you peace of mind while you're away, I can send regular photos and videos - as many as you’d like! You can always stay updated & reassured about your cat’s well-being. 🐾Flexible & Trustworthy🐾 I am a permanent resident of Newcastle upon Tyne with a clear DBS check, ensuring reliability & trustworthiness. I am always open to learning and adapting to your cat’s specific needs. Any special requests, let’s discuss them...I’ll do my best to accommodate. Price is negotiable depending on travel time, requested timing & specific needs!!! Your cat’s happiness & well-being are my top priority. I’m here to provide loving, professional care. Let’s chat about how I can help... It depends. There will be a discussion with clients. Sometimes I work remotely, sometimes I am not. There will be the timetable for me in advance for clients to check prior to their decision to contact me. Alternatively, please contact me by email directly. We will schedule a meeting for the pet care. I am happy to cover all the areas in Newcastle upon Tyne. Different cat has different personality and behaviour towards loneliness and facing a stranger, even different attitudes towards female and male. Communicating with cat owners is also quite important to know how to take care of their cats and how to max my help. I hope every cat is the most comfortable around me. As long as owners tell me in brief or detail what treatments and services you need from me, I will let you know if I can do it or not, I will try and learn as much as I can to provide my service based on your cats' needs as my responsibility. By following the owner's instruction, I spend 30 - 40 mins/each visit with cats who need daily feeding, cuddling, combing, medication administration or/and injections and observation. Photos & videos are available to send to owners as needed.

About: Hi, thank you for visiting my profile, if I don’t cover something on my profile please ask. I have had both cats and dogs as part of my family growing up. One of which had a lot of behavioural issues. My most recent animal was a beautiful pug called Peggy who sadly passed in sept 2022. I am now looking to put that extra love I now have into caring for your beloved animals while you are away. One thing you will know for sure, they will be treat like a family member and have full roam of my home and garden. I own a 3 bedroom house with large fenced garden, and open planned living. My 12 year old son is animal mad and loves nothing more than playing and cuddling but also respecting boundaries where required. My son is at his dad’s on weekends so if your pet isn’t good with children, I am available child free Friday to Sunday. I have experience with puppies, up to senior level and same for cats. Both timid and confident cats. This is my full time job so I will have full time attention to your animals. I am available almost every week and weekend, so please even if it’s last minute send the request. Chances are I am available. I have a large fenced garden, which is very green and safe. My house is free roam for all animals; and if the animal wants to sleep on the bed they can, or I can crate if that is what they are used to. I have a catio for cats in my garden too. If I am pet sitting in your environment please know I am respectful and clean. I will always clean up after my self and the animal and leave your home as you left it.

About: I’ve always wanted a dog since being little and love being around them. Dogs can bring out my energetic side/ inner pup so I love to play and go for walks. From being young we always looked after my grandparents dog whilst on holiday and it was favourite time of the year and growing older I’ve looked after my brothers dogs whilst babysitting so I can deal with having my hands full! I’ll look after your dog as if it were my own, sharing lots of love and fun and taking good care of them for you. I work term time going into various schools so I’m available after 5pm - sometimes earlier and I’m free for the majority of 1/2terms and summer holidays to look after your little friend. Feel free to give me a message even if my calendar doesn’t display the option you’d like- I may be able to still do it. I currently live in a flat so I could look after a small dog for a short period of time, but preferably house sitting in your home is best so they can roam outside and feel comfortable in their usual environment.

About: I’ve previously owned 2 dogs and taken care of many more. I share this account with my partner, Nathan, as this allows us to be the most flexible and allow full attention for your pet (as they deserve!) We LOVE caring for dogs as they’re always amazing company and get us up and out for walks. We have had numerous bookings on Rover already, as well as often being trusted to dog sit for friends and family. We are experienced in sitting a variety of dogs, from some being super energetic, to rescues who require anti-anxiety medication. We will cater for your pet whatever their needs. I am a Healthcare Assistant working 3 days a week. Nathan is a Fisheries Scientist, who often works from home however sometimes offshore. Between us we will ensure there will be someone home to take care of your pet before accepting your booking. We have a fenced garden. It is concrete however so we will take your pet out regularly for toilet breaks in case they prefer to use grass! We are happy to let your pet use our sofa/bed if that is what they are used to, or equally not allow this if it is also normal at home.

Rosie is the most competent, reliable, trustworthy, fun, loving, caring person when it comes to dogs. Rosie has looked after all of my dogs throughout the years. I have no worries ever about leaving them with her as I know they will be looked after to a very high standard. Rosie was a volunteer for guide dogs. She helped raise several puppies. Dogs will be very happy being cared for by her.

Paige is an animal lover, she enjoys nothing better than taking her dog for a walk and playing games with her. She finds her separation from her dog extremely difficult, living away at university.
