“Lubomira spoilt my Maya rotten! I was showered with photos and videos the whole time I was away to keep me at ease and let me know what she was up to! Maya thoroughly enjoyed her stay. I have already rebooked!! Thank you very much for looking after my fur baby so well :)”

“Frances looked after Murphy so well and sent lots of updates. Even though there was an issue with his bed being torn by another dog, she thoughtfully ordered him a new bed to replace it! Will definitely use Frances’ services again as it’s clear she loves animals and cares deeply for them. Murphy didn’t want to leave!”

“Mia is an exceptional host for Rover, both Lexi & Marley have really enjoyed there stay with Mia, l will be 100% be booking again when l need to be away from home. Mia, l can’t thank you enough for the very professional and kind hospitality you afforded my puppies you really put my mind at rest whilst l was away, big licks from the dogs xx”

“Monica looked after Milo for 2 weeks while we were on holiday. It was the first time we had left him, so we were a little worried in case he didn't settle. We need not have worried, as Monica sent us daily updates with photos & videos. It was easy to see the loving care and all the attention they gave Milo. He was his usual cheeky self with Monica and up to his usual tricks. We cannot praise you highly enough. Milo certainly became part of your family for 2 weeks & i know you were sad to see him go. Thank You so much, Pete, Hayley, and of course, MIlo x”

“Megan was very responsive to communication, was very accommodating and provided a great home away from home for Peggy. I would not hesitate in using Megan again and recommending her to anyone who wants a safe and secure environment for their dog.”

“Beau has returned yesterday from a two day/ one night stay with Serena in her lovely home. Serena is fabulous & clearly has a love for dogs which helped put me at ease when leaving Beau; she was also more than happy to accommodate my request for a ‘meet & greet’ prior to his overnight stay so we could ensure everyone was comfortable. Beau was very well looked after during his stay and it was nice to receive updates from Serena throughout so we could enjoy our time away knowing Beau was happy. I’d highly recommend Serena to anyone looking for a boarder & won’t hesitate to use her again in the future.”

“We were very pleased with the care Gitana provided for our dog, Coco, over the two days he stayed with her. She kept us updated regularly with messages, photos, and progress reports, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from the start that Gitana is both an experienced dog sitter and a genuine dog lover. Coco was well cared for, happy, and comfortable in her company. We really appreciated the attention, affection, and professionalism she showed throughout. I would happily use Gitana's services again in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and experienced dog sitter. Thank you, Gitana, for looking after Coco so well! 🐾😊”

“Katelyn looked after our anxious Shiba Inu at short notice. He seemed to settle with her very quickly and Katelyn kept us updated with photos and videos whilst we were away. This was the first time we had left Udon with anyone and he got on really well. We were very happy and would definitely recommend.”

“It was my first time having someone look after Walter. Vanessa put my mind immediate at ease. She is friendly, professional and was really good with Walter. I would highly recommend anyone contemplating using Vanessa’s services. Walter was loving life when I arrived to pick him up after my trip away. As soon as we got home he went straight to sleep. Vanessa had clearly given him a good run out as tiring an 18month Cocker Spaniel is not the easiest. Vanessa will be top of my list to look after Walter in the future. She kept me updated with a quick text, letting me know he had settled in fine and slept well the first evening. Great stuff, thank you Vanessa. ?”

“Mark was so kind with my two dogs - he clearly has a way with making dogs feel calm and secure. My girls got lots of cuddles and affection. His communication was excellent from the meet and greet and especially during the visit where I got photos and videos throughout. Thank you Mark for taking such care of Honey and Belle 🐾🐾”

“Kezia looked after our Weimeraner, Salto, and we can't recommend her enough. This was Salto's first time away and as he struggles the separation anxiety, we weren't sure how he would cope. Well we had no need to worry, Salto settled incredibly quickly and had a fantastic time, he has come home super happy and relaxed, which is better than any review I can give. Kezia kept us updated the whole weekend with plenty of photos, which we really appreciated and nothing was too much to ask. I've already started looking at more weekends away and won't hesitate to use Kezia again. Thank you! ✨”

“5 star border, amazing communication throughout. Marley was so happy and content staying with Sam and her small dog. She made marley feel so loved and welcome and I knew he was in safe hands. Will continue to use in the future. Thankyou sooo much.”

“Tom was great in looking after our two dogs last minute! One of them is just a 15wk old puppy, and it was her first night away from us, but Tom was very accommodating and reassuring, and she seemed right at home. Will book again :)”

“Jodie was wonderful with Lipa. She understood the potential issues with her age and kept in touch with me to reassure me. Lipa was extremely happy when we picked her up and we will definitely book Jodie again. Thank you so much!”

“Chelsea was lovely. She was cheerful and friendly and we knew that Bluey would be well looked after and have a good time. We would definitely recommend Chelsea and would gladly have her look after Bluey in the future.”

About: I’m a caring and responsible dog lover with hands-on experience looking after dogs. I have my own 3-year-old Cavapoo called Archie, so I have plenty of experience with day-to-day care, walks, feeding, playtime and training. I’ve also helped look after friends’ dogs, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, routines and needs. I understand how important it is to know your dog is happy, safe and well cared for while you’re away, and I’ll always treat them with the same love and attention I give Archie. I work from home, so I have plenty of flexibility throughout the day to give pets attention, walks, playtime and company. I can care for dogs at my home or stay at the owner’s home, depending on what works best. If I’m staying at the owner’s home, Archie would need to come with me as he is my own dog and is very friendly. I always put a pet’s safety and wellbeing first. I have a completely fenced and secure garden where dogs can safely enjoy some outdoor time. Archie is friendly and is used to roaming freely around the house, but I also have a stair gate and a crate available if either dog needs some extra space, separation or a quiet place to settle. When caring for a pet in their own home, I would follow their usual routine and make sure they feel comfortable and secure in familiar surroundings. I’m respectful of people’s homes and understand how important it is to build trust with both the owner and their pet.

About: I've had 3 years + experience with pets, taking care of dogs as young as 8 months to 11 years old, from Greyhounds to Cairn Terriors. Throughout this time I've joined Zoom recall training for a Beagle puppy I cared for, provided post operative care and administered medication to my most senior dogs. I'm currently volunteering for The Cinnamon Trust charity to help the elderly walk their dogs as well as being a member of Borrowmydoggy. I now have 2 dogs of my own, 2 sausage dogs who love meeting new pooches. I work full time but I have evenings and weekends free to offer dog walking and Drop in visits for any pet from Turtles to Rabbits as well as Dogs. I have a reasonable sized garden fully fenced off and bolt gated. My first priority is your pet at all times. Ensuring doors are shut, the correct diet is given to those with special requirements and medication is administered on time. I am aware of the current concern around dog theft so therefore I am always happy to keep doors locked and don't mind the use of indoor cameras, as long as I'm warned to look presentable 😂

Really happy with the care Gandalf had while we were away. We got regular photos, videos, texts and voice updates which was reassuring. He seemed settled and well looked after throughout. And he didn’t not pick up any bad habits. Thanks again for taking good care of him!

Vanesa was a very lovely dog boarder and would defo choose her again and reccomend her to others . She send regular updates of my dogs stay with her and has a lovely dog too if your dog want a buddy to play with. For first meeting you could tell she has a kind soul and was a lovely person and the way she is with her dog reasured you that your dog would be safe and well looked after. Thank you again Vanesa Kind regards

Liam took care of my pup on such short notice, and despite a few hiccups due to the emergency, was so patient and understanding! She had such a good time with him and his family, and was so calm and happy when she was brought back. Liam sent updates, pictures and videos every day to keep me updated on what she had been up to and how she was doing. I appreciated it so much! Highly recommend booking with him, I will again for sure!

It was the first time I've had to board my dog away from home. Admittedly I was a bit worried as she is a little wary in new situations. I had absolutely nothing to worry about, she immediately warmed up to Ren. I got regular updates and it looked like she had an absolute blast being spoilt and loved by Ren. Thank you Ren we will 100% be booking with you again.

Cansu took wonderful care of our dog, Bentley, during our recent holiday meaning we had no worries about him whilst we were away. She met with him initially and established his daily routine, likes/dislikes etc and he met her own dogs. It was clear that Cansu has a natural affinity with dogs and he felt very comfortable in her care. Whilst we were away, she messaged daily to advise how he was doing and send pictures which was reassuring to see. Upon collection, bentley was happy and settled and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cansu as a sitter to others- your dog will be wonderfully looked afree and happy in her care.

Our dog Luna has had a fantastic time staying with Thomas. She enjoyed plenty of attention, walks and time outdoors. Thomas clearly loves dogs and we appreciated his updates, videos and photos. We picked up a very happy dog. I’d highly recommend Thomas and he’ll be our first choice if we go away again. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have rebooked Natalia several times to look after Iggy and have been really pleased with the love and care she has shown to Iggy each time she has stayed. Natalia is very easy to get in contact with and responds promptly to requests or questions. Natalia keeps me informed about what Iggy is up to and sends photos and videos too! Thank you Natalia for taking such good care of Iggy when she stays with you - really appreciate it ☺️

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
