About: Since a young age I’ve always looked after family’s pets whilst they’re away on holiday. I frequently look after my friends dogs / cats whilst they go away either at theirs or mine. I love long walks & getting fresh air and am a huge animal lover. I work part time as a care and support worker, I spend a lot of time at home & in the garden in my spare time I have a fully fenced garden, with space to have a run around, I have room for anything you’d like to bring over to the house.
About: Must be child friendly 💜 One of my favourite things to do when taking care of dogs is taking them on days out and visiting different dog friendly places with them - if that’s also their thing! We love to go on a lot of walks, staying active and stimulated. We also have a cemetery moments away which is popular to us dog walkers for all types of dog personalities due to the lead only rule - great for those that prefer to be on a walk uninterrupted. I know that some dogs do struggle with separation anxiety which is why one of my strategies is to take them out on a walk almost immediately after a drop off as it rather quickly settles them and helps them to form a bond and trust with me. They will receive lots of love, attention and play - your dog’s happiness will be my top priority. I believe that I am not providing just a care for your companions but also in a way, their owners too. You will receive lots of photos and updates throughout their stay, that is something extremely important to me to provide for you as I know how at ease it’ll make you feel whilst you’re away from your pets and I will want to make sure you can enjoy your time away with all the reassurance you need! - I lock in prices so if my fees are to go up in the future they will always remain at the original price for you. I work early during the day whilst my partner works during the night, there will always be someone here at the house for your dog! I will like to know your routine to keep it as similar as it is when they’re at home I can. We will love for you to bring their home comforts.

About: I work from home and live with my little 3 year old Labrador. I’ve looked after many dogs previously and quite often end up with my families dogs coming to stay as well. I’m up and out by 7ish with my Labrador, and she gets 3 good walks a day, either at the park or the beach or longer on a weekend when we can go exploring I have a fenced garden with grass and patio, my dog is very friendly and sociable so will play nicely along with others. I work from home so plenty of toilet breaks and multiple cuddles during the day
“Forest has had a wonderful day. I am so thankful I found Shelley on here. She has kept me updated with photo's and messages all day. Will most definitely be using her again. I have a feeling he will be sleeping well tonight ?”

About: I have been caring for dogs of all kinds since I was 14 years old. Neighbors, friends, and family regularly rely on my help when it comes to pet sitting, feeding, and taking dogs for long, active walks. In 2021, I gained experience working at a dog daycare for six months, where I learned how to manage groups of dogs and care for their diverse needs. I have experience with both energetic puppies and senior dogs. I treat every pet individually, prioritizing their safety and well-being. Dogs are my passion, and spending time with them brings me genuine joy. Unfortunately, I don't currently have any pets. I would like to have a dog in the future but I can't afford it right now. I am currently studing, which allows me to be very flexible with my schedule. I attend classes only on Fridays and Saturdays, so I am fully available to care for your pets from Sunday to Thursday. I am dedicated to my personal growth and treat pet sitting with great responsibility, ensuring I have plenty of time for walks, play, and proper care throughout the week. Safety and trust are my top priorities. When caring for pets, I ensure a secure and calm environment tailored to their needs. I am a person who constantly learns and develops new skills to provide the best possible care. Whether in my home or yours, I maintain a strict routine, keep a close eye on the animals at all times, and make sure they feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. If I am carrying for owners dogs I usually send pictures every single day to show that their pupils are safe and happy.

“Couldn’t recommend Avinash enough! Avinash looked after our girl recently, and was absolutely brilliant with her. He asked questions before meeting her to ensure he understood her needs and normal routine. You can really tell he does this because of his love and passion for dogs. We feel very content and so did our girl!”

“My two little dachshunds were perfectly happy spending the day with Milly - they felt comfortable with her right away and looked like they had a great day. She was also very helpful and accommodating with the drop-off, which made everything much easier for us. Thank you!”

“Charlotte looked after my nervous boy Ozzy, I couldn’t have been happier with how he was looked after. Charlotte made sure he had plenty of toilet breaks and play time. Ozzy settled eventually and I couldn’t be more grateful for how he was looked after. Thankyou Charlotte ❤️”

“Honestly amazing. After just 1 day, Luna is already so excited when we pull up outside Kristina’s house. Very welcoming and friendly and Luna always comes away very happy and tired!❤️”

About: I have had dogs in various shapes and sizes since I was a child. A Jack Russell that lived to 17, a rescued Great Dane, a beautiful Weimaraner (the love of my life, sadly missed) and now a 3 year old Bedlington terrier. I also work part time at ITFC and have been DBS checked 👍 Unlike other sitters who will take two, three or even four dogs we will only have one guest dog at a time, this means we can give more attention to your dog. I’m now retired and thought I’d try my hand at dog care. We live in a bungalow on the outskirts of Ipswich surrounded by fields and great walks for dogs (on or off the lead). We also have a large garden that is fully fenced in. I would treat every pet as if it were my own, lots of walks and stimulating play time, I hate to see bored dogs. To encourage good behaviour I set ground rules for my own dog and would expect the guest dog to be able to follow the same simple instructions. This would help to create a calm and relaxed environment.
About: I have grown up surrounded by animals - from little hamsters and bunnies to all sorts of dogs! I've got lots of experience around different sized dogs so understand their temperaments, behaviour and overall fun nature. I absolutely love dogs and taking them for woodland adventures around our home. I have a baby at home too who absolutely loves meeting new furry faces! I am relied on to look after family and friend dogs, to keep them well fed and entertained, often exhausted by the time they return home! I'm currently on maternity leave and when I return to work I will be working from home so will be highly available for both weekdays and weekends! I'm currently on maternity leave, so I have plenty of time to cater to and play with your dog! Myself and my partner take our baby out on daily walks and like to switch up the locations to give her good stimulation - these include going to fields, parks, forests and river walks - so why not have your little furry friend come along and enjoy the fun? Being on maternity leave with the ability to work from home on my return enables me to be quite available and flexible with my time. I own a 3-bedroom/3-story house with a fenced garden, so there is ample space for your little fur ball to run around and explore! Having a baby at home ensures that everything is kept clean and tidy, so your dog will have enough space for all their kit!

Monty had clearly had a lovely day with Mark and the other dog that Mark was sitting for that day. Mark sent lots of photos and updates and let me know how he was getting on. Monty is highly food motivated and an accomplished thief which Mark managed well. Monty looked very relaxed and was quite happy to settle back in the other dog's bed when I arrived to take him home.

Gitana was SO good with my 12 week old puppy. I was so nervous to leave him with someone as he has never been away from me before but she sent so many beautiful photos and videos and looked after him as though he were her own. Sonny loved his stay and was actually gutted to come back to me because of all of the fun!!! I cannot recommend enough and I’ll be back 💗

Tom was absolutely wonderful with BoBo! Our miniature Dachshund can be quite a nervous soul in new places, but Tom's patient approach meant he settled in no time. He followed every instruction perfectly and the frequent photo/video updates were such a lovely touch that kept us totally stress-free. We picked up a very happy pup and will definitely be booking Tom again!

Huge thanks to Serena for looking after Orla so well, she has come home very content and beautifully settled after her first day with someone new. We really appreciated the invitation to meet Serena with Orla before our booking. She clearly has lots of knowledge of different breeds and their needs. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Serena again in the future.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Ipswich commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.
Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
