“Emily is a caring, committed and capable dog owner. She maintains clear boundaries with her own dog(s) by rewarding good behaviour with praise and treats. “Dan has been looking after our dog whilst we’ve been away and I can honestly say he is spot on with listening to our requests and looking after our rescue dog Phoebe. As a rescue Phoebe is very wary of new people and Dan understood Phoebes needs from the beginning and she now trusts him completely. Dan has stayed at our house and leaves it immaculate and is very considerate. He has a trustworthy job and is also a good friend. I couldn’t recommend him enough!”

“Mel loves dogs, she is always helping me out with my springer spaniel x poodle ‘Daisy.’ Daisy is always happy to see Mel and she’ll take her for walks, have her round her house or just let her out and spend time with her. She gets a group of dog walkers together to walk and socialise their dogs or just takes a group of dogs for a walk by herself! She really shows she cares with the time, effort and love she gives. Thank you Mel.”

About: IT IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO HOLD AN ANIMAL WELFARE LICENCE. I am one of few providers on that list. You will see Paws for Holiday listed on there with licence number AWL0017, under my married name, I am listed on here in my maiden name. I haven;t changed my passport name. Member of Dog Law SOS, ensuring the safety of your pet is my priority. I grew up surrounded by pets, dogs (westies), cats, birds, rabbits, rats, mice and tortoises! Blame my mum for my rescue world obsession. I went on to run my own rescue; fostering and assessing over 300 dogs as well as other pets. I’ve owned both small and large breeds. I have some dog training background from volunteering with a behaviourist, re-certified first aid and CPR May 2024. 4 * Local authority licensed AWL0017. DBS checked. Protectivity insured. I only accept one household booking at a time. I offer a complete home from home experience to family friendly pets. Pets are welcome to lay on the sofa, lay on the bed, they have their own sofabed for those that struggle to sleep alone at night (I’ve slept with many in my arms over the years). I want your furry family to feel at home here. We are an animal crazy family with one adult always working from home, we have back ups should both of us not be around for more than an hour and they are included on my insurance. My children have grown up surrounded by pets and I returned to fostering when they were 6 years old. They’re now 10 & 11 and very dog savvy. The 10 year old loves nothing more than having his face and ears washed by dogs I have included photos of dogs that I’ve boarded, fostered and our own dogs. I have a fenced in garden with a locked gate and 6ft high fence. The driveway and garden are covered by security cameras. We have two friendly resident dogs female cockerpoo 18 month spayed, male cocker 30 months neutered. The dogs are allowed free rein of the house if they want a cuddle on the sofa or bed then so be it. The male is regularly found in my son’s bedroom curled up with him and foster dogs are often found rolling around on our bed. I like a dog to feel at home! The dogs have a variety of different walks depending on the day and weather. We are one household at a time so for us it’s about having the best time with your pets rather than being in it for £££.
