Information Mark B. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special requirements or needs ahead of time. I can only accommodate small to medium sized pets. I appreciate complete honesty about your pets behaviours, so I can ensure it is well matched to the accessibility of my home environment. By taking these steps together, we ensure your pet is set up for a fun, stress-free, and safe staycation! Welcoming Your Pet into My Home Step-by-Step Process: Leaving your beloved pet in someone else’s care can feel incredibly daunting. It is completely normal to feel anxious. After all, they aren't just pets are family! Because I want both you and your baby to feel entirely safe and comfortable, I follow a thorough induction process to ensure a seamless, happy transition into my home. PHASE 1: Getting to Know Each Other **Step 1: The Initial Discovery Call** Our journey begins with a phone conversation. This is where we discuss the essentials of who your pet is. I will ask about how they relate to other animals, their overall demeanor, and their unique quirks or individual requirements. **Step 2: The Local Meet & Greet** Next, we will arrange to meet at a local spot (like a nearby park) for about 20 minutes. This gives me a chance to meet you and your pet in a neutral, low-pressure environment, allowing your pet to get used to my presence with you right by their side. **Step 3: The In-Home Trial** Before any overnight boarding takes place, we schedule a short trial stay of either *4 or 8 hours* in my home. This hands-on trial is the best way to ensure your pet is happy, comfortable, and fully compatible with my home environment before a longer stay. PHASE 2: Prior to the Start of Your Booking Once the trial is successful and we are ready to move forward, I will need you to provide the following essential instructions and information before your pet's official stay begins: 1. Health & Safety Records To protect your pet and any other furry guests, I require up-to-date health documentation: **Proof of Vaccinations:** Including Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough). **Parasite Prevention:** Confirmation of current flea and tick treatment. 2. Care Routine Instructions I want to keep your pet's routine as close to their normal home life as possible to reduce stress. Please provide written details for: **Feeding:** Specific schedules, exact portions, and dietary restrictions. **Medication:** Precise dosages and administration instructions (if applicable). **Comfort & Behaviour:** Their favourite toys, comfort items, and known behavioural triggers (e.g., storms, loud noises). 3. Emergency Protocols Safety is my absolute priority. Before drop-off, we must finalize a safety plan by securing: **Veterinary Info:** Contact details for your pet’s primary veterinarian and the nearest 24/7 emergency animal hospital. **Backup Contact:** A local emergency contact person who can make decisions if you are unreachable during a crisis (e.g., while travelling).

My dog usually does not like other dogs but in 2 days Mark has managed to get him walking nicely on a lead with 2 other dogs calmly and happily - a miracle. Mark understands dogs and is so calm and gentle. I would definitely recommend him.

Great to speak to and very welcoming to a first time cat owner needing help from a fellow animal lover when I needed to go away. Would 1000% recommend, very courteous, professional and will be booking again when needed. Thanks for your help Mark

Monty had clearly had a lovely day with Mark and the other dog that Mark was sitting for that day. Mark sent lots of photos and updates and let me know how he was getting on. Monty is highly food motivated and an accomplished thief which Mark managed well. Monty looked very relaxed and was quite happy to settle back in the other dog's bed when I arrived to take him home.

Had such a fantastic experience with Mark! It was my dog’s first visit/stay, so I was a bit nervous, but he settled in so quickly and clearly had a great time. You can tell Mark really knows how to look after dogs – my boy was put at ease straight away and came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. We’ll definitely be booking again!
