About: My biggest so far challenge, was my “staff”breed. In fact, with lots of love, and an appropriate training approach, we bonded perfectly. Once or twice, i walked four “wiggle wags”at the same time, handful of treats worked just as well, we made a one “great pack” effort. A Caring for well-being of your pets will be depending on binding a joy of life, healthy snacks, and a cosy rest. I am self employed and managing most of my own schedule. I will find a time and i can fit in a pet care in, at my best. a Big garden with secured fencing, plus live next to one of the biggest parks in town, so if the pet dog is in need of good run, surely can provide that.

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. Since I was young, I’ve loved caring for stray dogs and helping them whenever possible. When I was 16, my family adopted a dog, and I’ve been responsible for daily care including feeding, walking, playing, and spending quality time together. I understand that every dog has a different personality, and I’m patient, gentle, and committed to making pets feel happy and secure. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available to provide pet care throughout the week. Even when I start a part-time job, I will carefully manage my schedule to make sure I have enough time for walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets the attention they need. I will always communicate my availability clearly and be reliable. I always follow each pet owner’s instructions carefully and make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I pay close attention to their routines, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special needs. I keep the environment clean, never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations, and provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident while they’re away.

About: I work from home and live with my little 3 year old Labrador. I’ve looked after many dogs previously and quite often end up with my families dogs coming to stay as well. I’m up and out by 7ish with my Labrador, and she gets 3 good walks a day, either at the park or the beach or longer on a weekend when we can go exploring I have a fenced garden with grass and patio, my dog is very friendly and sociable so will play nicely along with others. I work from home so plenty of toilet breaks and multiple cuddles during the day

I recently hired Ren for dog walking/drop in visits, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the initial consultation, it was clear that Ren genuinely cares about dogs. Ren took the time to get to know Reggie, understanding his needs energy levels and generally bonding with him which was so lovely to see. Communication with Ren was amazing, she is very organised and we received quick responses to messages where she specified certain requirements and was always was willing to fit in with our plans. Ren provided regular updates and photos, which put my mind at ease while I was at work and were very comical too. I appreciated the reliability and professionalism always on time and ready to take care of Reggie’s every need. We can’t wait to have Ren to look after to Reggie again, it’s amazing when you find someone who cares for your dog as much as you do! Thank you Ren and see you soon

About: My experience goes beyond simply walking and feeding. I've worked with dogs who have behavioral challenges and understand the importance of reading body language, building trust, and creating a calm, positive environment. Every dog is different, and I take the time to learn what makes each one feel safe, comfortable, and happy. Over the years, I've also cared for friends' and family's dogs during vacations and extended stays, giving them the same love, attention, and routine they receive at home. In addition, volunteering at my local Humane Society gave me hands-on experience working with dogs from many different backgrounds, temperaments, and energy levels, further strengthening my confidence and adaptability. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can completely trust. I know they're family, and I treat every dog in my care with the same patience, affection, and respect I'd want for my own. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or simply sticking to their routine, I'm committed to providing reliable, attentive care and making sure they feel loved while you're away. My goal isn't just to watch your dog—it's to make them feel at home and give you complete peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I currently have a flexible schedule, allowing me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. This flexibility means I can accommodate walks, playtime, feedings, medication schedules, and lots of one-on-one companionship throughout the day. During the week, I don't have access to my own vehicle, so I primarily accept bookings that are within walking distance or accessible by public transportation. On weekends, I do have access to a car, which gives me greater flexibility for bookings that are farther away. I always communicate clearly with pet owners about availability and transportation to ensure we're a great fit before confirming a booking. No matter the day, when I'm caring for your pet, my priority is providing dependable, attentive care and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I treat every dog as if they were my own and am committed to giving them the same care and routine they're used to at home. When caring for your pet, my top priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I know that every dog has their own unique routine, preferences, and personality, so I take the time to learn exactly how you care for them at home and do my best to maintain that same routine while you're away. Keeping their schedule consistent helps reduce stress and allows them to feel right at home. I treat every dog as if they were my own, giving them plenty of love, attention, playtime, and companionship throughout their stay. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, relaxing on the couch, or playing with their favorite toys, I'll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. f approved by you, I also love spoiling pups with healthy treats and extra enrichment. For longer stays, I enjoy taking dogs on fun adventures that match their personality and energy level, such as visits to the dog park, the beach, scenic walking trails, or other pet-friendly outings. Of course, every outing is discussed with and approved by you beforehand, and your dog's safety and comfort always come first. My goal is for your dog to feel happy, cared for, and loved while you're away—and for you to have complete peace of mind knowing they're in caring, reliable hands.

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I’m calm, patient, and reliable, and I always follow each pet’s routine closely. I prefer one-on-one walks so I can give dogs my full attention and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m happy to help with feeding, fresh water, playtime, and lots of affection, and I take responsibility and trust very seriously. I currently have a flexible schedule, which means I’m able to fit pet care easily into my daily routine. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits during weekdays and weekends, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine to keep things consistent and stress-free. About: As a spaniel-retriever owner to a 1.5 year old pup, I fully understand how important it is for you to find the right person to take care of your dog so hope to show you I’m a reliable, love fitness (will take willing dogs on runs if requested!), and love to provide photo or text pupdates if you like. I do a bit of photography on the side so if you’d like me to bring my camera - please do say! Please let me know anything I should be aware of about your dog: quirky habits, likes, dislikes etc. and I’ll do my best to make sure they have the best time in my company. My main work right now is sports photography meaning I have a flexible schedule and able to work from home mostly unless I’m on a shoot. I can cover evenings and weekends also. I would treat any pet owner’s home with respect, leaving it exactly as I found it. You are very welcome to message me with anything I should know about looking after your dog or that would put your mind at ease. I’m very happy to accommodate requests.

About: I've had 3 years + experience with pets, taking care of dogs as young as 8 months to 11 years old, from Greyhounds to Cairn Terriors. Throughout this time I've joined Zoom recall training for a Beagle puppy I cared for, provided post operative care and administered medication to my most senior dogs. I'm currently volunteering for The Cinnamon Trust charity to help the elderly walk their dogs as well as being a member of Borrowmydoggy. I now have 2 dogs of my own, 2 sausage dogs who love meeting new pooches. I work full time but I have evenings and weekends free to offer dog walking and Drop in visits for any pet from Turtles to Rabbits as well as Dogs. I have a reasonable sized garden fully fenced off and bolt gated. My first priority is your pet at all times. Ensuring doors are shut, the correct diet is given to those with special requirements and medication is administered on time. I am aware of the current concern around dog theft so therefore I am always happy to keep doors locked and don't mind the use of indoor cameras, as long as I'm warned to look presentable 😂

About: Must be child friendly 💜 One of my favourite things to do when taking care of dogs is taking them on days out and visiting different dog friendly places with them - if that’s also their thing! We love to go on a lot of walks, staying active and stimulated. We also have a cemetery moments away which is popular to us dog walkers for all types of dog personalities due to the lead only rule - great for those that prefer to be on a walk uninterrupted. I know that some dogs do struggle with separation anxiety which is why one of my strategies is to take them out on a walk almost immediately after a drop off as it rather quickly settles them and helps them to form a bond and trust with me. They will receive lots of love, attention and play - your dog’s happiness will be my top priority. I believe that I am not providing just a care for your companions but also in a way, their owners too. You will receive lots of photos and updates throughout their stay, that is something extremely important to me to provide for you as I know how at ease it’ll make you feel whilst you’re away from your pets and I will want to make sure you can enjoy your time away with all the reassurance you need! - I lock in prices so if my fees are to go up in the future they will always remain at the original price for you. I work early during the day whilst my partner works during the night, there will always be someone here at the house for your dog! I will like to know your routine to keep it as similar as it is when they’re at home I can. We will love for you to bring their home comforts.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since a young age for family members. It is something nice to do in my spare time as i love animals. I am comfortable with long walks and to play with dogs. However i comfortable to do short walks and just keep each other company if needs be. I have looked after family members elderly dogs and dealt with them being fairly poorly. I haven’t got much experience with puppies other than being around one for a couple of hours at a time I work full time, but my shifts can vary. If you are needing an evening sitter i could help out. occasionally i work saturdays so i will have a day off during the week which i am always available. Every sunday i am available unless i state other wise In my home i have a gate and an enclosed garden if pets were ever needed to be seen outside of there home. i am more than happy with dogs or cats for the day!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommend Ren! Ren was absolutely fantastic! She was able to step in and help us out on short notice, which we appreciated so much. During her visits, she provided regular updates and photos, giving us total peace of mind while we were away. Our dog is usually very nervous around people he doesn’t know, but Ren made him feel completely comfortable and at ease right away. On top of being amazing with animals, Ren is incredibly reliable, friendly, and professional. She left our house exactly the way we left it and ensured everything was locked up securely. I can’t recommend Ocean enough 🐾 . I had to submit quite a last minute booking for my two pooches, despite never meeting them, or me, she was happy to drop in on them to say hello. One of my dogs get a little nervous at first but, looking at the photos, she won him over very quickly and both the dogs loved her. She also gave me lots of updates throughout which was brilliant and really appreciated 🥰 will definitely be using Ocean again!

Ellie truly is a cat lover. Being very skeptical about inviting a stranger into our home and to look after our cats I wasn't sure about using this service...until I met Ellie. We had a meet and greet a few days before and I took the plunge hoping my gut was right. It was. Ellie looked after our cats like they were her own, sending daily updates and photos, many making my laugh knowing the antics our cats get up to. Ellie Completely put me at ease and I won't hesitate to book her again

This is the first time we have used a drop in sitter and we were a little apprehensive because our little girl is shy/timid/aloof with new people. We booked Lucy and asked if she could meet our dog Loki before the drop in visit to see how Loki would react. All I can say is, wow!. It took Loki a couple of minutes to accept Lucy, which is unheard of. She instantly felt at ease with Lucy, as my wife and I did. On the night of the drop in, we received a message with how the sitting went which was really appreciated. We 100% recommend Lucy. They say dogs know, and that’s good enough for us!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ipswich choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
