“First time booking and very pleased with Emma - reliable and Alvin told me he had a great time on the walks. Very reliable and would definitely recommend, will definitely ask Emma to help out again when needed 😊”

About: I have a genuine love of animals and practical experience of caring for neighbours, friends and family pets. I also have theoretical knowledge a level 3 extended diploma in animal management. I am confident with daily walks, feeding schedules, following care instructions and making sure pets are safe, happy and always looked after whilst in my care. I am reliable, trustworthy and caring and will treat dogs as if they are my own. From Mondays to Fridays I currently volunteer for the Essex Wildlife Trust so I am flexible and free to dog walk and house sit your pets including at weekends. I train and play football for a local club but am happy to accommodate looking after your much loved pet around these commitments. From the beginning I will want to get to know your pet so I will spend time bonding with them, playing, talking and keeping them company. I know that pets like consistency so I will stay close to their normal routine which I will ensure I fully understand by asking for clear instructions from you. This includes knowing feeding times, portion sizes and any dietary needs and health requirements, where and when they are walked and their comfort toys and sleeping habits. I will add details of your vet to my pet plan should a medical emergency arise. If your pet uses your garden I will check that the gate is closed and the fences are secure before letting them out and I will then supervise and clean up their mess. I will send you regular updates and photos and of course report anything of concern immediately. I appreciate that it's not only your pet that I am responsible for but also your home which I will do my best to keep clean and tidy and follow any house rules that you give me.
About: We’ve always had dogs since we met 24 years ago. Our first dog we had from a puppy and we’ve also had two rescue dogs. I currently work part time as a retail assistant so would have time to care for and play with your dog. They would be walked twice a day and treated as one of our own. I have a secure enclosed fenced in garden for your fur baby to play with our very friendly rescue Labrador. Plenty of lovely walks nearby including fields, parks and woods.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and sometimes babysit my sisters dog and cat, I’ve also been entrusted by neighbours and friends to care for their pets whilst they’re on holiday. I work part time so could definitely make time for pet care within my schedule, I have clubs and hobbies but I’m confident that timings can be sorted! I wouldn’t necessarily pet sit from my house just due to my current circumstances! However this may change in the future. As for a pet owners home, however you feel comfortable! I know each dog/cat has their own quirks and personalities.

About: • I'm an experienced live-in dog and house sitter who offers calm, consistent care, particularly for nervous, sensitive or rescue dogs who need patience and reassurance while their owners are away. • I've gained my experience through many successful house and pet sits, both independently and through TrustedHousesitters (where owners have consistently left excellent reviews). • Some dogs make friends straight away. Others need a little more time. I enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual and helping them feel safe, comfortable and settled while you're away. • I work online (part-time), so I can fit around your dog's routine and spend much of the day at home. This is ideal for dogs who are used to having company or who need a little longer to settle. • I love being outdoors and usually walk twice a day myself. Whether your dog enjoys long adventures or prefers a gentle sniff around the neighbourhood, I'm happy to adapt to whatever suits them best. • I always stick as closely as possible to your dog's normal routine, whether that's favourite walking routes, regular mealtimes or simply having a cuddle on the sofa. • I'm based in Colchester and regularly travel throughout London and the South East, with availability across the UK for longer bookings. • I've completed Canine First Aid training and I'm continuing to learn more about canine behaviour and body language because I genuinely enjoy understanding what makes each dog tick. • One of the reasons I started house and pet sitting is that my own rescue dog had such a lasting impact on me. She taught me the value of patience and consistency. After she died, I wasn't ready for another dog of my own, and looking after other people's dogs became a way to stay connected to the animals I love. • I know it's hard leaving your dog with someone new. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout your trip, and I'll always ask how often you'd like to hear from me. * I work online, so I can fit around your dog's routine and spend much of the day at home with them. * Morning walks, longer afternoon adventures or evening strolls, I can easily adapt to whatever routine your dog is used to. * I try to keep life as familiar as possible while you're away, so I do my best to follow your dog's usual routine for walks, meals, playtime and downtime. * I offer live-in dog and house sitting for overnight stays, weekends, holidays and longer bookings throughout the year. * Before a sit, I like to arrange a quick video call so we can chat through your dog's routine and make sure you feel completely comfortable before you head away. * Before each sit, I take the time to understand your dog's usual routine, from walks and mealtimes to favourite sleeping spots and the little things that help them feel settled. * I work online part-time, so I'm able to spend much of the day at home, providing companionship and helping your dog settle into their usual routine. * I'll keep you updated with regular photos and messages while you're away. I'll also ask how often you'd like to hear from me, so you can choose the level of contact that feels right for you. * I genuinely enjoy looking after people's homes and take pride in treating every property with the same care and respect I would my own. I see myself as a temporary guardian of your home as well as your dog, and I always leave everything exactly as I found it.
“Charlotte was brilliant and so wonderful with Rusty, it was the first time we have left him and had someone come in to see him and let him out. Even though he was a little nervous Charlotte communicated with me straight away and encouraged him gently out into the garden for a wee and a play. Charlotte communicated with me the whole time she was with Rusty and really reassured me that he was okay! Thank you for being so lovely and brilliant with Rusty”

“Kat is absolutely fantastic! Couldn’t ask for a friendlier, more caring, dedicated person to take care of our fur babies. Great communication and lovely updates. Cats & bunnies were so relaxed when we got home! Kat went above and beyond. They were all kept really clean, well fed and they loved the extra company. Can’t recommend Kat highly enough.”

About: I have experience in both dog/house sitting and working in a busy dog kennel, giving me confidence caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. I’m especially experienced with senior dogs and those needing extra support, including administering multiple daily medications and maintaining consistent routines. I take pride in being a calm, loving, and reliable companion, always ensuring every dog feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while I’m looking after your dogs! I’m currently working part-time, and I’m also a professional basketball player — it’s off-season at the moment, so I have extra flexibility in my schedule. I’ll be starting my Master’s degree next year, so I’m working in the meantime and doing something I genuinely enjoy. I am very flexible, especially through the summer months. I care for pets as if they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after. At home, I regularly care for my two dogs and also help look after my sister’s dog, so I’m very used to daily routines like feeding, walking, playtime, and giving lots of attention and companionship. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I stick closely to their usual schedule to keep everything familiar and stress-free. I make sure they’re fed on time, walked/exercised as needed, given plenty of affection, and kept entertained. I’m also happy to keep the home tidy, follow any specific instructions, and provide regular updates/photos for peace of mind.
“Charlotte dropped everything to walk Savannah when our regular sitter couldn't help. I will be forever grateful to her for her support, as I was able to go out and enjoy my birthday. Thank you, Charlotte :)”

About: Hi, I'm Charlotte! I've grown up with dogs, cats and other small animals, so caring for pets has always been a part of my life. I genuinely love spending time with animals and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs. Alongside regularly walking dogs, my partner Joe and I also look after family and friends' pets whenever they need us to. Whether it's a walk, a drop-in visit or overnight care, we treat every pet as if they were our own, making sure they feel safe, happy and well looked after. We both work in the emergency services, so being reliable, trustworthy and dependable is second nature to us. We work around our shift patterns, which gives us flexibility to offer care throughout the week, including weekdays, evenings and weekends. We're based in Ardleigh, where we're lucky to have plenty of lovely countryside footpaths and quiet walking routes right on our doorstep. Whether your dog enjoys a gentle stroll or a longer adventure, we'll make sure they get the exercise, attention and care they deserve. We know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust, and we'd love the opportunity to get to know both you and your furry friend. Our shift work gives us a flexible routine that works really well with pet care. As we both work in the emergency services, we have different shift patterns, meaning there is usually someone at home and we can plan our time around the needs of each pet. We love being outdoors and regularly enjoy going on walks and runs around the local countryside, so having a dog to join us makes it even better. We have plenty of lovely walking routes around Ardleigh and enjoy giving pets the exercise, attention and companionship they need. We also don't have any children or pets so our lifestyle is very flexible. We know that every pet is different, and nobody knows them better than their owner. Before looking after your pet, we’ll always take the time to learn about their routine, personality and what makes them feel happy and safe. We’ll follow your guidance so they feel as comfortable and settled as possible. We have a secure, sizeable garden where they can enjoy some fresh air, play and explore safely. Our home is set back from the road, giving pets a quieter and safer environment, and we also have security cameras around the property for extra peace of mind. We’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, cuddles, exercise and downtime depending on what they’re used to. We understand that some pets need lots of interaction, while others prefer a little more space and a calm routine. When caring for pets in their own home, we know that staying in a familiar place can often be less stressful. We’ll keep to their normal routine, spend quality time with them and make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. Most importantly, we want your pet to feel happy and relaxed, and for you to have peace of mind knowing they’re being looked after by people who genuinely love animals.

I currently volunteer at the Blue Cross and I’ve previously run a kennels & cattery so am confident with dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes and breeds. I’ve also worked for 2 zoos - one a mobile zoo with smaller animals such as reptiles and meerkats and the other a large zoo with everything from penguins to zebras so I’m used to a whole host of animal traits and characters, as well as meeting their needs. My work is very flexible and I work from home most of the time - if I do need to go out I often take the dog/s staying with me along, so they can enjoy a walk somewhere new at the same time🙂 My approach to looking after your pets? With love! Having had my own dogs since I was a child and more recently lost my elderly Mastiff cross Bordeaux, I know what it’s like as an owner to leave your pet with someone else.
