“Jennny was amazing with our dog Peanut. This is the first time we had him stay somewhere with someone not familiar with him and Jenny made sure we were fully comfortable with everything. She kept us updated regularly on how Peanut was doing and her furry friend Honey was lovely and playful. Would highly recommend and never think twice about booking with Jenny!”

“Hayley and her family were fantastic and looked after Daisy as if she were their own. I think Daisy thoroughly enjoyed her time in the company of Hayley’s two Labs, playing in the back garden. I would definitely recommend Hayley to anyone.”

About: I’ve loved dogs since childhood, and for the past two years, I’ve been looking after my friends' dog. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and always treat every pet as if they were my own. I am patient, reliable, and attentive to each pet's individual needs. I understand that every dog has a unique personality, so I adapt my care to help them feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I have the opportunity to be with the pet constantly during summer school holidays, as well as during the school year, when I can devote the maximum amount of time to the pet. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I make sure they have fresh water, are fed according to their routine, get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I always keep their environment clean and safe, follow the owner's instructions carefully, and provide regular updates with photos for peace of mind.

About: I adore dogs, and I am the proud parent to an almost 3 year old rescue pup who equally loves other dogs around to play with. I fully understand the trust, care and consideration needed when leaving your family member whilst you're away, in order to make you and your dog feel safe and worry free 😊 I have always had rescues, so know that all pups have different personalities and anxieties which we are well catered to deal with. I have rescued and fostered dogs in the past, and can offer a stable environment filled with enrichment, cuddles and patience. My own dog Eevee is a wonderful companion, she is patient and non dominant so knows how to behave when a new pup may need some time and space to decompress. I only work on a flexible basis 2 hours of an evening so there is always somebody at home with your pup. I am happy to send all the photos and updates you need while you're away-I know im obsessed with photo updates of my dog when I go abroad! Should you want to do a meet and greet beforehand, I am happy to arrange this as I understand it can be nerve wracking leaving your pooch with someone new for the first time! I am new to Rover, but not short on experience of looking after dogs. With successful foster care under my belt as well as helping out plenty of friends and family in the past I look forward to offering a safe, happy space to care for your pooch where they feel at home :) Currently I work flexi part time for 2-3hrs in the evening. When it comes to weekend bookings I would fit my time around your dogs needs to make sure they are getting the time, love and attention they deserve! Plus its a wonderful excuse for me to stay home all weekend, with nature walks im between as a self confessed home body. I have a fully fenced, good sized garden for your dog to play in. Our own dog Eevee is super easy going and playful. She is used to nervous fosters around so will happily give space should your dog need a little time to warm up! I am happy to follow your lead in routines you like to keep as well as any crating arrangements. Dogs typically have free roam of my home.
“Amadeusz watched our senior chihuahua for a bit over a week - I was nervous going into it because Ellie can be a bit wary of new people, but she settled right in with Amadeusz! We received regular updates on how she was doing, along with photos - it provided peace of mind that she was well taken care of in our absence. When our return was delayed due to problems with the flight, Amadeusz was very flexible and told us not to worry. We will definitely book again next time we need care for Ellie. Thank you!”

About: Me and my partner have had dogs all our lives. We have had two dobermans and one rescue beagle cross. We still have one Doberman and the beagle within our family. We have two children age 5 and 7 who have been brought up with our dogs and our very dog savvy. We are experienced with big breeds and also small. Our dogs are treated like family, two walks a day we live in the country so field walks mainly, they are allowed in the house and on the sofa and if they can sneak on the bed they will try haha! There is always someone at home generally as I work from home part time so never left long period of time. Both our dogs love other dogs they have always been well socialised. I work two days from home and the other days I am around at home and you dogs will never be left for long periods of time. I have a large fenced garden which is secure. The fence is 1m high as we back onto fields and is gated at the side.
“Highly recommend Stephanie, she provides excellent care. Mabel had a wonderful stay and the updates given were wonderful. A lovely couple who clearly love animals. They provide a level of care and attention that is outstanding.”

“Absolutely incredible, my two dogs had the most wonderful day & night staying at Jill’s home! Jill kept me informed throughout their stay with a video & photos, they were both looked after with such care, taken on walks and I couldn’t have asked for anything better! Will definitely use Jill again when we need care for our two dogs, highly recommended.”

“We have come home from holiday to a really relaxed and very happy cockapoo. Charlie had a great time staying with Mark and Karen with lots of nice walks and the company of Mark’s own dog with whom he has become best friends. I can’t thank Mark and Karen enough for the care and attention that Charlie received whilst he was staying with them, and for the daily updates and pictures they gave us whilst we were away. They definitely provided Charlie a real “home from home” and we have had no hesitation in asking Mark to allow Charlie to stay again when we go away for a further trip in September.”

About: Thank you for taking a look at my profile. My love for cats all started at a very young age when we got my first cat at age 7. I was totally besotted with him and that kickstarted a lifelong interest/obsession with cats! I now have a cat of my own (after many years without pets) and have been looking after her for the past two years.

“Charlotte was brilliant and so wonderful with Rusty, it was the first time we have left him and had someone come in to see him and let him out. Even though he was a little nervous Charlotte communicated with me straight away and encouraged him gently out into the garden for a wee and a play. Charlotte communicated with me the whole time she was with Rusty and really reassured me that he was okay! Thank you for being so lovely and brilliant with Rusty”

“I had no worries leaving our boy at home with Evie- she took fabulous care of him and made sure to send us a message each day to let us know how he was doing, and spent time giving him some cuddles as well as making sure he was fed and watered. Thank you so much Evie :)”

About: I’ve had cats in my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with cats from the day I was born, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. I now have a cat of my own, who is very much part of the family and means the world to me. I understand that every cat has their own personality, routines and preferences, and I’ll take the time to get to know yours and care for them in the way they’re used to. Friends have also trusted me to look after their cats while they’ve been away. This has included visiting their homes to feed them, clean litter trays and make sure they’re happy and comfortable. I always spend time with them too, including playing with them and giving them attention and company rather than simply popping in to put food down. I know how worrying it can be leaving your pets when you’re away, so I’ll treat your cat with the same care and attention I’d want someone to give mine.

“We'll just call Faith 'The Cat Whisperer'! Our babies are full-on scaredy cats who just love to hide. Within a few visits, one of them was out and about and allowing tickles! Any time we go away we'll be calling on Auntie Faith to babysit. ”

About: Cats have always been a big part of our lives. We both grew up with cats from a young age and understand how much they become part of the family. We recently lost our rescue cat, who we adopted as a senior. She required daily medication and extra care, giving us valuable experience looking after older cats and understanding their individual needs and routines. We have also provided cat sitting both in our own home and in other people's homes, making sure cats feel comfortable, relaxed and cared for while their owners are away. We know that cats can be creatures of habit, so we always take the time to follow their usual routines and give them the attention and affection they need.
About: I’m a fun, caring animal lover who just wants the best for all animals! I currently volunteer at the Blue Cross and I’ve previously run a kennels & cattery so am confident with dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes and breeds. I’ve also worked for 2 zoos - one a mobile zoo with smaller animals such as reptiles and meerkats and the other a large zoo with everything from penguins to zebras so I’m used to a whole host of animal traits and characters, as well as meeting their needs. My work is very flexible and I work from home most of the time - if I do need to go out I often take the dog/s staying with me along, so they can enjoy a walk somewhere new at the same time🙂 My approach to looking after your pets? With love! Having had my own dogs since I was a child and more recently lost my elderly Mastiff cross Bordeaux, I know what it’s like as an owner to leave your pet with someone else. I therefore aim to make both you and your pet as comfortable as can be while you’re away and am very flexible to meets yours and their needs.

Your dog will be cared for in a safe, secure and relaxed home environment. I only take a small number of dogs at a time, allowing me to give each dog plenty of individual attention and care. “Ellie made us feel very comfortable about leaving our dog Lottie with her, as it was our first time of boarding her. She is very relaxed and knowledgeable about dogs. While we were away we had regular updates and reassurances about Lotties welfare. Ellie is very professional and hopefully Lottie can have little holidays with her in the future. Thank you so much Ellie xx”

“I left my anxious senior chihuahua with Amadeusz yesterday as a practice run for a longer stay - he was very understanding of her stress and was able to make friends with her and get her to settle in. He checked in throughout the day to let me know how she was doing & even sent a few pictures. I will book with him again!”

About: I have been caring for dogs of all kinds since I was 14 years old. Neighbors, friends, and family regularly rely on my help when it comes to pet sitting, feeding, and taking dogs for long, active walks. In 2021, I gained experience working at a dog daycare for six months, where I learned how to manage groups of dogs and care for their diverse needs. I have experience with both energetic puppies and senior dogs. I treat every pet individually, prioritizing their safety and well-being. Dogs are my passion, and spending time with them brings me genuine joy. Unfortunately, I don't currently have any pets. I would like to have a dog in the future but I can't afford it right now. I am currently studing, which allows me to be very flexible with my schedule. I attend classes only on Fridays and Saturdays, so I am fully available to care for your pets from Sunday to Thursday. I am dedicated to my personal growth and treat pet sitting with great responsibility, ensuring I have plenty of time for walks, play, and proper care throughout the week. Safety and trust are my top priorities. When caring for pets, I ensure a secure and calm environment tailored to their needs. I am a person who constantly learns and develops new skills to provide the best possible care. Whether in my home or yours, I maintain a strict routine, keep a close eye on the animals at all times, and make sure they feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. If I am carrying for owners dogs I usually send pictures every single day to show that their pupils are safe and happy.

About: Hi, I Qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2011, since then I’ve worked with lots of pets. I’m no longer in practice and have a home business so I’m home all day to take care of your pets. We have a large family home, enclosed garden and super dog walks right outside our front door. Our dogs are a huge part of our family, I always struggle to find someone who will love my girls as much as I do when we go away, so I thought why not provide someone with peace of mind when they go away! We have two daughters, Two Dalmatians and an elderly chihuahua. Our dogs are super friendly but we have a large enough home that any dogs that do need space or a more quiet break I can happily accommodate. Needless to say I’m happy with providing all required medications to your pet, including pets that are recovering from surgery. If you’d like to ask any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me I currently have a home business that I typically work from my office in our home around 1-2 hours a day. I’m happy to accommodate all ages of dogs. I do have a large crate that can be set up in our second living room for any dogs that require a crate.

About: Hi, I'm Charlotte! I've grown up with dogs, cats and other small animals, so caring for pets has always been a part of my life. I genuinely love spending time with animals and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs. Alongside regularly walking dogs, my partner Joe and I also look after family and friends' pets whenever they need us to. Whether it's a walk, a drop-in visit or overnight care, we treat every pet as if they were our own, making sure they feel safe, happy and well looked after. We both work in the emergency services, so being reliable, trustworthy and dependable is second nature to us. We work around our shift patterns, which gives us flexibility to offer care throughout the week, including weekdays, evenings and weekends. We're based in Ardleigh, where we're lucky to have plenty of lovely countryside footpaths and quiet walking routes right on our doorstep. Whether your dog enjoys a gentle stroll or a longer adventure, we'll make sure they get the exercise, attention and care they deserve. We know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust, and we'd love the opportunity to get to know both you and your furry friend. Our shift work gives us a flexible routine that works really well with pet care. As we both work in the emergency services, we have different shift patterns, meaning there is usually someone at home and we can plan our time around the needs of each pet. We love being outdoors and regularly enjoy going on walks and runs around the local countryside, so having a dog to join us makes it even better. We have plenty of lovely walking routes around Ardleigh and enjoy giving pets the exercise, attention and companionship they need. We also don't have any children or pets so our lifestyle is very flexible. We know that every pet is different, and nobody knows them better than their owner. Before looking after your pet, we’ll always take the time to learn about their routine, personality and what makes them feel happy and safe. We’ll follow your guidance so they feel as comfortable and settled as possible. We have a secure, sizeable garden where they can enjoy some fresh air, play and explore safely. Our home is set back from the road, giving pets a quieter and safer environment, and we also have security cameras around the property for extra peace of mind. We’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, cuddles, exercise and downtime depending on what they’re used to. We understand that some pets need lots of interaction, while others prefer a little more space and a calm routine. When caring for pets in their own home, we know that staying in a familiar place can often be less stressful. We’ll keep to their normal routine, spend quality time with them and make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. Most importantly, we want your pet to feel happy and relaxed, and for you to have peace of mind knowing they’re being looked after by people who genuinely love animals.

About: I have a genuine love of animals and practical experience of caring for neighbours, friends and family pets. I also have theoretical knowledge a level 3 extended diploma in animal management. I am confident with daily walks, feeding schedules, following care instructions and making sure pets are safe, happy and always looked after whilst in my care. I am reliable, trustworthy and caring and will treat dogs as if they are my own. From Mondays to Fridays I currently volunteer for the Essex Wildlife Trust so I am flexible and free to dog walk and house sit your pets including at weekends. I train and play football for a local club but am happy to accommodate looking after your much loved pet around these commitments. From the beginning I will want to get to know your pet so I will spend time bonding with them, playing, talking and keeping them company. I know that pets like consistency so I will stay close to their normal routine which I will ensure I fully understand by asking for clear instructions from you. This includes knowing feeding times, portion sizes and any dietary needs and health requirements, where and when they are walked and their comfort toys and sleeping habits. I will add details of your vet to my pet plan should a medical emergency arise. If your pet uses your garden I will check that the gate is closed and the fences are secure before letting them out and I will then supervise and clean up their mess. I will send you regular updates and photos and of course report anything of concern immediately. I appreciate that it's not only your pet that I am responsible for but also your home which I will do my best to keep clean and tidy and follow any house rules that you give me.
About: I’m a 19-year-old university student who has grown up surrounded by animals and genuinely loves caring for them. I have plenty of free time around my studies, so I’m able to offer flexible and reliable pet care. I’ve spent many of my summer holidays walking dogs for family and friends, keeping myself busy while doing something I truly enjoy. I’m also on my own fitness journey, so getting out for longer walks is something I actively enjoy — making dog walking a perfect combination of exercise, fresh air and spending time with animals. I’m comfortable around animals of all ages and personalities, and my experience goes beyond dogs: my cat has kittens several times a year, so I’m very familiar with caring for young, delicate animals and understand the patience, gentleness and attention they need. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, loved and well cared for while they’re with me. As a university student, my schedule can be more flexible than a typical 9–5, meaning I can often give your dog plenty of time and attention throughout the day. Pet care serves as a wonderful break from my studies and allows me to spend time with animals which is my favourite hobby. I have a fenced garden, safe home and smoke-free environment. My cat is outdoors for most of the day, but is friendly and has been around dogs many times before with no issue. Whether your dog wants a two-hour adventure, a game of fetch in the garden, or simply someone to curl up beside, I’m happy to work around what makes them comfortable. If you choose me to take care of your furry friend, I guarantee regular updates, photos, my undivided attention and fast reply rates.

I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, as well as pets of different ages, personalities and routines. I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person looking after your pets, so I always take the time to understand their normal routine, likes, dislikes and any individual needs. I work from home, which gives me lots of flexibility and means I can spend plenty of time with the animals in my care rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m happy to follow feeding and walking routines, provide lots of playtime and attention, and of course give plenty of cuddles to pets who want them! My aim is for your pet to feel safe, settled and loved while you’re away and for you to be able to relax knowing they’re in good hands. I work from home which gives me much larger availability to care for my own animals and to give me time to care for others. I live at home with my mum so thankfully we also have someone in for my dogs/cats and I am able to do the same for someone else. I work full-time from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the day. I can easily work pet care around my schedule, including regular feeding, toilet breaks, walks, playtime and lots of company. This also means pets in my care won’t be left alone for long periods. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. I’ll follow their usual routine and any instructions you provide, including feeding, medication, walks and household rules. I make sure their environment is secure and pay close attention to their behaviour so I can spot if anything seems unusual. I also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own.

Thank you!”

No set hours and I am my own boss so I set the rules! I have a good sized back garden that is fully fenced and secure. Lovely big house and has minimal clutter! I’m happy to accommodate all ages of dogs. I do have a large crate that can be set up in our second living room for any dogs that require a crate.
