“I am delighted to recommend Colin. He is a kind, thoughtful and humble gentleman who loves dogs. He enjoys their company and loves taking them out for exercise at least twice a day. His home is light and airy and ideal for a dog to stay. His local area is full of delightful walks some by the river Deben. I commend Colin to you and wish him every success on Rover.”

About: I’ve had pets since I was born and started to help care for them at an early age. Throughout my life I have owned 5 cats and 4 dogs, raising all but one as puppies and kittens. After graduating from university I worked at my local human society as an Animal Care Associate and eventually moved up to the Animal Care Supervisor. During this time I also fostered undersocialized (feral) cats & kittens and some puppies with behavior issues. After moving I volunteered at another animal shelter in their behavior department, usually helping assess what each individual dog needed most to aid in their adoption (socialization, training, exercise or cuddles). I eventually became a volunteer trainer for new volunteers in that department. I don’t currently have any pets, but miss interacting with them. I don’t currently work and both of my children are in school so I have open availability during weekdays. I have some flexibility during term breaks, in the evenings and weekends when my husband is home. Having owned some mischievous pets I ensure I arrive and leave the home safely with all doors, gates and windows secured. I am happy to crate animals if needed.

7. Rachel S.

“Always a comfort knowing Rachel can assist with Milly and helps out with mum too, thank you Rachel.”

8. Antonia Jordane G.

“Antonia was really friendly, great with animals and immediately made everything very easy. She looked after my cat whilst we were away and made everything stress free. I received lots of great updates and would definitely book again. Thank you.”

9. Karen R.
“Karen is really great with our little dog and he loves her. She is excellent at looking after him the way that we look after him, making sure he sticks to his routine, gets the right food/treats/medicine as required, plays with him and keeps him entertained and, best of all from his point of view, provides plenty of cuddles and affection. Karen has always looked after our dog in our house, and we absolutely could not be happier with the way she looks after it like it was her own. Always clean and tidy, and takes care of everything while we are away. Absolutely recommend!”

10. Ben M.
“Ben is a good friend of mine and has on multiple occasions looked after my two dogs. Trust worthy and friendly guy who is reliable.”

11. Olivia C.

“Odie had a lovely walk, thanks Olivia”

About: IT IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO HOLD AN ANIMAL WELFARE LICENCE. I am one of few providers on that list. You will see Paws for Holiday listed on there with licence number AWL0017, under my married name, I am listed on here in my maiden name. I haven;t changed my passport name. Member of Dog Law SOS, ensuring the safety of your pet is my priority. I grew up surrounded by pets, dogs (westies), cats, birds, rabbits, rats, mice and tortoises! Blame my mum for my rescue world obsession. I went on to run my own rescue; fostering and assessing over 300 dogs as well as other pets. I’ve owned both small and large breeds. I have some dog training background from volunteering with a behaviourist, re-certified first aid and CPR May 2024. 4 * Local authority licensed AWL0017. DBS checked. Protectivity insured. I only accept one household booking at a time. I offer a complete home from home experience to family friendly pets. Pets are welcome to lay on the sofa, lay on the bed, they have their own sofabed for those that struggle to sleep alone at night (I’ve slept with many in my arms over the years). I want your furry family to feel at home here. We are an animal crazy family with one adult always working from home, we have back ups should both of us not be around for more than an hour and they are included on my insurance. My children have grown up surrounded by pets and I returned to fostering when they were 6 years old. They’re now 10 & 11 and very dog savvy. The 10 year old loves nothing more than having his face and ears washed by dogs I have included photos of dogs that I’ve boarded, fostered and our own dogs. I have a fenced in garden with a locked gate and 6ft high fence. The driveway and garden are covered by security cameras. We have two friendly resident dogs female cockerpoo spayed, male cocker neutered. The dogs are allowed free rein of the house if they want a cuddle on the sofa or bed then so be it. The male is regularly found in my son’s bedroom curled up with him and foster dogs are often found rolling around on our bed. I like a dog to feel at home! The dogs have a variety of different walks depending on the day and weather. We are one household at a time so for us it’s about having the best time with your pets rather than being in it for £££.

“Gina was lovely and reliable and good to know Bramble would be looked after well”

15. Allie C.

“It has been a lovely experience having Allie care for our cat Lucy while we were away. She dropped in around the same time every day, providing lovely consistency for our cat. She sent a nice update with pictures included which gave us peace of mind. Allie is friendly and sweet in person, and made sure our cat got a nice fuss, groom and a cuddle on top of keeping her fed and watered. Thank you so much, Allie!”

16. Sigourney K.

“Good updates on my cat other than a couple of days not giving details of whether they ate their food or not. Brilliant to have Sigourney visit & spend half hour with Juni so that she didn't feel quite so abandoned.”

About: Throughout my life I’ve had the absolute pleasure of looking after the two dogs my family have had in my life (Douglas and Lola) - I have always been tasked with the walking, feeding and sometimes even grooming of my furry friends, so I am very capable in doing the same for you! In addition to this I’ve looked after my girlfriends dog on many occasions when she has been away with her family on holiday and of course met all requirements needed. I trained one of my families dogs up since a young age and she was very obedient and friendly after so if you need something similar I’m always here! I am also very flexible in terms of my schedule and for the most part can fit around whatever you need!!! I’m currently taking a gap year after just recently finishing my A-Levels at sixth form, and I am looking for a role such as this to keep my account at a stable balance - I also intend on going on holidays for next summer so need to raise funds for that - other than this role I have no other job to worry about so this could take up all my time! I have a fenced in garden which would have plenty of room for your furry friends to play in!! In Addition to this there is a great route for walking from my house down into the town centre! If I happen to be in your home I will of course be respectful of where I am and ensure nothing is damaged or anything of the sort and on top of this I will make sure your furry friend is always getting the best care and the most attention possible!
