About: There’s always been dogs in my life whether it was my own or a friends. I had a flat coat retriever until I was 10 who I absolutely adored! More recently my parents got a setter doodle 5 years ago which has given me good puppy experience and I still look after her regularly. Also my partners mum is a dog walker in horsforth so I’ve helped her occasionally and met lots of different breeds. I love all sizes and breeds of dogs and happy to walk dogs on or off lead depending on owners request. Mid week I work in central Harrogate 5am-1pm and I work every other weekend Saturday 5am-1pm, Sunday 7am-3pm. So I’m still available in the afternoon and evenings as well as some weekends. I’m not able to board any dogs at our house as we’ve got a couple cats and not much space. But happy to come pet sit! I will take on any instructions given and make sure everything is exactly how I found it.

“Anita is always very attentive towards our cats, keeping an eye on their health and happiness, and reporting back to us with pictures, videos, and information. Highly recommend Anita for your pet sitting needs!”

About: I have experience with many different breeds of dog throughout my life and really enjoy spending quality time to get to know a pets needs. Not only does this involve walks but play time in the house I’m currently working from home full time and have great flexibility in my job to take time out to look after your pet and ensure they have a fun time I have a fenced garden where your pet can run free. I am an owner of a 4 year old Maltese cross who loves the company of other pets

About: I take care of pets as if they were my own child, I play with them, walk with them and play with them as they are always full of energy Me and my son (20 years old) both have jobs but as we work on different times we can always work around the time to take care of each animal, as I work during mornings until afternoon and he works nights. I regularly play with them, make sure that they have enough water for themselves and I also regularly take them on walks for toilet breaks

About: Hi! We’re a pet-loving couple based in Harrogate with years of experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes. We’re proud pet parents to Everett, our miniature labradoodle, and we know just how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family member. We both work from home most of the time, which means your dog will get plenty of attention, cuddles, and companionship throughout the day. Our home is right next to a beautiful green space with easy access to nature walks - perfect for dogs who love to explore. We’ve gone through puppy training with Everett, so we’re confident in handling everything from basic obedience to keeping your dog calm and engaged in a new environment. And since there are two of us, your dog will always have someone nearby for playtime, snuggles, or just a reassuring presence. We treat every dog like our own - with love, patience, and lots of tail wags. Our flexible work schedules allow us to adjust our days around your dog’s needs. Since our own pup, Everett, has a bit of separation anxiety, one of us is always home - so your dog will never be left alone for long. We’re typically available most days, and we keep our Rover calendar up to date to reflect any trips or time away. You can count on us to be present, attentive, and responsive to your pet’s routine. For daycare and boarding, we provide extra beds, toys, and games to help your dog feel comfortable and entertained. If needed, we can fully dog-proof the house by putting away slippers, clearing coffee tables, and closing curtains for dogs that are sensitive to outside distractions. Our Labradoodle, Everett, will be a friendly companion for your dog throughout their stay. During longer visits, and with your approval, we may take your dog on extended nature walks in the nearby green spaces to keep them active and engaged.

“Fantastic, absolute lifesaver helped me out at very short notice. Hounds loved her and I ever got a cute video which was massively reassuring having never left them with anyone but granddad before”

About: I've been sitting both dogs and cats on Rover since 2022. As an experienced Rover pet sitter, I always prefer a meet up beforehand as I understand having a new person look after your pets might feel odd at first, but rest assured I've never had a bad experience! During the sitting, I will send daily updates and I'm happy to make these as frequent as possible. If you have any specific concerns, please let me know as I am happy to pay extra attention to make your pet most comfortable whilst I look after he/she/them. As a person I am warm, friendly and very caring. I enjoy keeping fit and being creative. I work remotely Mon-Thurs so have the flexibility to easily care for pets and put them first during the majority of the week and over Friday and the weekend I'm completely free to give them my undivided attention, lot's of love and care. I prefer to home sit so that pets are familiar with their own environment. It can be disturbing when a pet owner leaves but I have plenty experience making sure it's as smooth as possible. Many dogs and cats I've looked after were pandemic pets and have increased anxiety.

About: Throughout my childhood into my adult years, my family has looked after dogs for neighbours, friends, collegues and more. It was a wonderful experience. Going into my teenage years the tasks of walking, feeding, bathing and playing were put onto me and my brothers. I have looked after a range of dogs in size and age, from puppies to seniors and from a Daschund to a Great Dane/Labrador mix. I also have experience giving medicine to those who need it. I adore being around animals, and would love to make sure that your dog has a fantastic, fun time filled with playing and cuddles. I love walking, and would enjoy long walks in interesting and enriching places. I’m currently a university student and I have just finished a year abroad in France and Argentina. I will be at home with my family for the summer so I have plenty of time to look after your dogs. I am available for walks after 11am every day. I have a securely fenced back garden. I am also able to crate your dog if necessary or if you would prefer me to do so. I am very focused on ensuring the safety of your pet, and I will have my attention on them at all times.

About: Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a proud dog parent to Lando, our wonderful spaniel, who has taught me so much about the joys (and challenges!) of training, patience, and building a special bond with a pet. Though Lando is my first dog, I’ve grown up around a variety of breeds and personalities, giving me a broad understanding of different dog needs and temperaments. I know how important it is to find a caretaker you can trust, and I bring that same dedication to each pet in my care. With Lando, I’ve spent countless hours working on training, building routines, and creating a loving, structured environment. This experience has helped me develop the skills and patience needed for dogs of all ages and personalities, whether it’s ensuring a safe, playful boarding experience, providing dependable walks, or simply popping in to check on them. I offer a range of services, including: • Boarding: Your dog will enjoy a safe, home-like environment. • Dog Walking: Regular, engaging walks tailored to their energy level. • Day Care: A day filled with companionship, play, and routine. • Pop-ins: Quick visits to make sure your pet is happy, fed, and loved. If you’re looking for a caring, committed sitter, I’d love to chat and see how I can help you and your pet. I’m excited to bring the same level of attention and love that Lando gets to each dog I meet. Looking forward to making some new furry friends in the neighbourhood! As a full-time remote worker, I have the flexibility to be present for your pet throughout the day. Working from home allows me to provide regular companionship, quick toilet breaks, and plenty of attention while ensuring that pets in my care feel comfortable and attended to. My schedule allows me to easily incorporate walks, playtime, and check-ins, so your pet will never feel alone or bored. Whether it’s day care, boarding, or scheduled walks, I’m able to provide a stable, caring environment that fits seamlessly into my work-from-home routine. In my home, I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for all pets. For boarding and day care, pets can have designated spaces to relax, play, and feel at ease. I make sure to keep a balanced routine of playtime, training, and rest, similar to the structure I use with my own dog, Lando. With flexible breaks throughout the day, I’m able to provide walks, potty breaks, and plenty of attention, making sure pets stay happy and engaged.

“Mairita is clearly an animal lover and Sally enjoyed her company on her visits. Initially Sally was a little shy but then loved the attention and cuddles as the daily photos and videos showed. I would happily invite Mairita to cat sit again and would not hesitate to recommend her.”

“Steve and Sandra were really great and our 6 year old springer Jimmy took an instant shine to them. It was great that he could also socialise with another dog, Tommy, on the walk. This service was invaluable as I needed to go to London with work at short notice and it was great peace of mind to know that Jimmy was well looked after.”

About: I have grown up around dogs since the age of 10. With 2 family cocker spaniels I am used to the craziness that having a dog brings to a household. I no longer live with my family dogs and miss being around them. I have experience with elderly dogs, one of my family dogs died this year at the age of 14 and she needed full time cars for months. We had a litter of puppies when I was younger, so I am experienced with younger dogs as well. I graduated from university 2 years ago and now work from home almost full time (I tend to go into the office once a week, but this is flexible). I would care for your dogs in the same manner you would. Whatever they need I am able to provide. I understand all dogs are different. I love long walks and they can accompany me daily.

About: With a childhood spent on a lively dairy farm in New Zealand, my passion for pet care was cultivated from a young age. I was 8 years old when I got my first puppy Winky (a one-eyed Corgi/Cocker Spaniel, she was born with an ulcerated eye, we had an immediate bond and I wanted to care for her straight away) we grew up together and she was my ultimate BFF! Surrounded by the companionship of dogs and cats on the farm (plus a few chickens and pet calves which I showed annually at the school Calf Club Show!). I love animals, taking care of them, spending time and playing with them – I have a love for all creatures great and small. Today, I share a home with Shadow, our 14 yr old black cat who is a much-loved member of our family and can generally be found snoozing the day away! With years of hands-on experience and a passion for pet care, I bring that same warmth and dedication to ensuring your pet receive the love and attention they deserve! I work from home with flexible hours and can fit into your schedule. I am active and love to take long walks around Harrogate and surrounding area. I have a large, fenced outdoor area with plenty of space to run about when we are at home if needed. Short walking distance from local parks when we really need to take a good run about.

joanne p.
“I've known Joanne for many years and know at first hand, her long experience of being a conscientious and diligent carer for dogs. In Joanne's home, dogs benefit from being in a home away from home. She will take the time to listen to your needs, understand your dog's preferences and will continue with boundaries around behaviour management that you want maintained in your absence, making sure your dog feels safe, loved and happy. Joanne will ensure your dog is well exercised in line with your expectations and will take the time to get to know how your dog relates to other dogs to make sure they are always safe in any environment.”
