“Ivett was a perfect cat sitter for my Ebony! She gave her fuss, played with her and fed her well. Plenty of pics and videos were sent to me each day she visited. I have booked her again in a couple of weeks, and know all will be well whilst we are away. Would definitely recommend her! ”

“Casey was great taking care of our cat, Steve. She sent us daily updates about how he was doing and how much he had eaten. Casey noticed about the house being too warm so opened up the windows while there.”

About: Myself and my partner Timmy, have both taken care of several dogs over the past three years, all of different breeds. This has involved walking, feeding and boarding. We absolutely love animals, the outdoors and going for walks. We are both very active. We currently live in Prestwich but like exploring new walks. We both own a car and can drive to take your dog further afield to a more secluded place if needed.😌 I am currently a primary school teacher full time and live in the North East. Myself and Timmy are both available after work, most evenings from 4:30 onwards and free on weekends for long walks/ boarding. We have a large garden that is fenced and gated at the front with both patio and grass. There are no other pets or children in my home. It is also a smoke free house.

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have always been surrounded by them growing up. I currently have 3 dogs of my own, so I’m very familiar with caring for dogs and making sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, love and care. I’ve also looked after family members’ pets in the past, which has given me experience caring for dogs with different personalities and needs. Although I’m new to Rover, looking after animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy and I would treat every pet as if they were my own. 🐾❤️ I work part time but I don’t have a set weekly schedule as my shifts change from week to week. This means my availability can vary, but I’m able to plan my pet-sitting commitments around my work rota. I’ll always make sure I know my availability in advance and will communicate clearly with owners to arrange dates and times that work for everyone. 🐾 I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable and cared for while they’re with me. I’m used to having dogs around and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs. I would follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime and plenty of attention and cuddles. When caring for pets in their owner’s home, I would respect their space and keep to the pet’s usual routine so they feel comfortable in familiar surroundings. I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions from the owner and keep them updated with how their pet is doing. 🐾❤️
About: I am a full time professional dog walker which I have multiple dogs all different breeds and temperament's in my care on a daily basis I currently work part time so I have a lot of free time to look after your furry babies and give them the best possible care. I will look after your dogs in the comfort of their own home so they feel at ease. I will also give them lots and lots of cuddles :)
About: I’ve always had a real love for dogs and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I love getting to know each dog’s personality, whether they’re playful and energetic or calm and cuddly. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel happy, safe, loved, and comfortable while they’re in my care. When I left school I attended college and completed a Btec diploma in animal care. Following that I worked in a dog kennels and learned a lot about holistic care of dogs. I then got the opportunity to work as a trainee veterinary nurse for 2.5yrs where I learned even more about all small animals. Due to finances I then changed careers but my love of animals (in particular dogs) has never lessened. The only reason I haven’t had a dog of my own is due to work commitments and living on my own. I have regular contact with my mum and dads dog Brodie. Just for information I am also a registered nurse. I live on my own and am looking to explore other options outside of nursing. I am pretty flexible with my time so should be able to help when needed. Only thing I would be unable to do is look after dogs in my own home due to apartment restrictions. I am unable to look after your dogs in my home due to apartment restrictions so would only be able to offer service in pets home. I am very respectful of property/belongings so would look after them like they were mine.

About: Hi, I’m Amey ☺️ I absolutely love dogs and spending time with them, whether that’s going for walks, giving them company or simply helping them feel safe and comfortable. I especially have a soft spot for nervous or sensitive dogs and understand that some need a little more patience and reassurance. I have experience caring for dogs and regularly spend time around rescue dogs, so I’m comfortable with different personalities and temperaments. I’m calm, reliable and happy to follow any routines, boundaries or training your dog is used to. I’m mainly available on weekends and would love the opportunity to spend time with a lovely dog who enjoys walks, companionship and lots of fuss 🐶🐾 I work full-time within a primary school setting during the week, so I’m mainly available on weekends and during school holidays. I enjoy spending my free time around animals and love going on walks, giving pets company and helping them feel comfortable and settled while their owners are away. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, relaxed and secure in their usual environment. I’m calm, patient and happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, boundaries and any specific needs they may have. I especially understand that some animals can be nervous or need a little extra reassurance and patience.
About: Hello. I'm Dan, 34 years old and a lot of free time giving me the opportunity to help you and your pets. I'm an avid animal lover of all types and would welcome all invitations to walk, watch over and treat your best friends as mine too. I like to stay active, keeping a regular walking distance everyday and would happily welcome company on those walks. Whether that be short routes around the neighbourhood or a much longer trek in the hopes of tiring them out by the end of the day. I am a licenced first aider with lots of experience fostering dogs and cats in the past with severe medical conditions and other special requirements. In those situations I'm well trained to remain calm under pressure and skilled at assisting your pet in times of need.
About: I provide extra attention and care to pets. Because of how meticulous I am, I easily and quickly notice changes in their personalities or moods which is very necessary in picking up signs of health issues or any distress. I believe it is very important to treat animals with love and provide them with all the care possible. I have catered for different kinds of pets so I am very aware that different pets require personal attention and care specific to them because temperaments and behavioural patterns are different. That helped me understand better how to train pets based on their individual/personal circumstances. Every pet is a new joyful experience for me. It warms my heart to care for them which makes me feel like they do more for me. I love them.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Stockton-on-Tees
This is the first time I’ve booked a sitter for Rosie as opposed to taking her to the cattery. Lisa is lovely and I felt very at ease leaving her to care for Rosie while we were away. Lisa was very understanding despite a mix up with the first meet-up, and accommodated a very last minute booking. Updates and pictures received at each visit, and came back to a very happy cat who clearly enjoyed the attention 💕. Lisa followed Rosie’s routine which I’m very thankful for. I would highly recommend. Thank you Lisa!x

We couldn’t be happier with Sylvia as our cat sitter. When she came for the meet‑and‑greet, our shy and nervous girl Pepper immediately went over to her for fuss and cuddles - something she never does with new people. Our little kitten took a bit more warming up (she’s still figuring out the world), but Sylvia was so gentle and patient with her. Within 5 minutes she was comfortable enough to have a good play! She followed all of our instructions to a T, and the daily reports and photos were incredibly reassuring while we were away. It was clear the girls were having a great time. We are 100% booking Sylvia again for future trips. She’s a real‑life cat whisperer and we’re so grateful to have found her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
