My difficult pup loved her, and my loving pup was even more excited to have her come over even though I was gone. I had Bethany house-sit for a long weekend, and received numerous photos and updates on my fur babies. About: I had two dogs of my own for 16 years who have since passed. I took care of them from puppyhood to senior ages. I am attentive to the needs of dogs and I greatly enjoy them. I have walked neighbors dogs and have experience with dogs of all types and demeanors, from aggressive dogs and dogs that pull while walking to super happy go lucky dogs . I love them all. I currently am unemployed and do contract work when it comes, thus, I spend most days at home and have a lot of time to be with your pet. I am used to caring for dogs and planning my time around their needs. I typically walk dogs multiple times a day, for lengths depending on the dogs needs and abilities. I have a large grassy area near my apartment that dogs may run in, or we can walk to the beach to play.
“Ali was great to meet and so sweet with my dogs right away. She got down to their level and stayed kind and patient, even when one of them kept barking at her now and then. They both warmed up to her so quickly, which says a lot! She asked thoughtful questions that made me feel like she really understood their needs and genuinely cared about them. On the day of the sit, she was very communicative about her arrival and departure times, which I really appreciated. She also sent lots of photos and videos throughout the day which I appreciated as someone who tends to always worry!”

About: Our pets are just an extension of our family. I grew up in a house with pets and farm animals. I was taught to treat these animals with love and respect and ensure that they had fresh water and food every day.and that they were cleaned-up after, exercised and that they were comfortable. Upon having pets of my own, I raised my kids and now, grandkids, that our pets are special and essential in our lives and need to be treated that way. I have owned strays and mixed breeds, and a lhasa apso to hybrid wolves. A few years back, I started carrying for friends pets in their homes when they traveled. This service brings them peace of mind and comfort when they are away, as they know their sweet pet is being cared for with the same level of care that they provide. And having their pet in their own environment is less stressful of the whole family. I ensure that a regular routine is maintained and that fresh food and water is always available. I walk and/or play with them to entertain and exercise your pet on a daily basis. I am happy to provide updates and pics while you are away. And I make sure that the poop is cleaned up, as well. I am recently retired and have lots of flexibility in my schedule so I am available to walk or provide over-night stays when needed. I care for your pet as you would care for them. I do my best to keep them safe and cared for in the environment they are used to, their own home.
About: I’ve spent over a decade in hospitality and operations, running shifts at places like Starbucks and a local beer lab, which basically means I’m used to juggling a hundred things at once while staying calm, warm, and on schedule. Turns out that’s great training for dog care too: reading personalities fast, sticking to routines, and making sure everyone (two legs or four) feels comfortable in a new environment. I keep a calm, predictable environment because cats do best with routine, so I stick to feeding times, litter maintenance, and any specific instructions you give me exactly as written, no improvising.
About: I’ve been around pets my whole life. I have experience with walking, boarding, sitting, training, grooming and more. Though the majority of my professional experience revolves around dog walking, watching, and training, I also am very familiar and fond of cats. Currently I have one senior Shih Tzu named Marcus, he’s been with me since he was 6 weeks old and is now turning 13 in August. The love and devotion I have for my pup is the same I have for every animal I encounter, I am very passionate about providing the same level of care Marcus receives to each pet I am trusted with. Currently I work hybrid remote and on site as an interior designer. My flexible schedule allows plenty of time to service my fellow pet parents! Pets are allowed to roam freely in my home but I am happy to accommodate crate trained animals as well. My small dog loves company, he is very playful and friendly. As for sittings at my clients homes I follow all instructions thoroughly ensuring that your pet stays at ease, on schedule and full of happiness until your return.

Heather was wonderful with our three dogs and one of the first sitters we ever trusted with them. She immediately put us at ease and took such great care of everything while we were away for a week. One thing we really appreciated was how she reached out with thoughtful questions about each of the dogs personalities and how they get along. It was really nice because it showed she genuinely wanted to get to know them and make sure she was caring for them in the best way possible. One of the biggest bonuses is that she also cleans houses on the side, and it truly shows. We came home to a house that was even cleaner than when we left it, which was such a nice surprise after traveling and made coming home feel so much more relaxing. She was also incredibly thoughtful and flexible when our flight got delayed. She went out of her way to come back later in the evening to let the dogs out, which we really appreciated. She stayed in great communication the entire time and kept us updated, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and detail oriented sitter.
John was kind, thorough, and dedicated to our pups while house sitting for us. They were so happy when we got home which is not usual for when we leave them. John left the home super tidy as well and followed all our instructions. He spent ample time with them during the day and was honest about his other obligations and how much time our dogs would be alone each day, which is much more direct than any of the other sitters we have used. He sent us daily updates and was quick to respond. He was even able to accomodate a last minute request I had for him. We appreciate you, John! An absolute GODSEND. I've had housesitters and used boarders before, but this was the first time using Rover and I couldn't imagine a better experience for Rover than to have Sharyl as the example I got as a housesitter. She was superb! At a very difficult and stressful time, she was able to housesit for three days and two nights and take care of my two pups (a 40 pound full-of-energy Brittany, and a 18 pound dachshund/terrier mix). She made me feel at ease and comfortable with choosing her, and made them feel taken care of and loved. Excellent dog skills and superior people skills too. I received regular updates on the dogs and pics of them too. Even with a demanding food regimen and the boundless energy of these dogs on their walks, she came through with flying colors!
