“LOVE BETHANY!!! She is sweet, amazing with my pups, and extremely responsible. She replied to my inquiry immediately, and scheduled a meeting with me and the dogs for the following day. My difficult pup loved her, and my loving pup was even more excited to have her come over even though I was gone. I had Bethany house-sit for a long weekend, and received numerous photos and updates on my fur babies. I was nervous to leave them at home, but was able to leave with confidence that my babes would be cared for. If I could give 6 stars I would. Thanks Bethany!”

About: I have owned 4 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 betta fish in my life. I have raised/trained 2 of the dogs myself which includes a miniature Australian Shepherd and a Husky. I have always been the go-to pet sitter in my family and friend group! I love animals with all my heart and will give them the best care I can give them no matter what! I am a recent graduate from CSULB with a degree in Accounting. I have a very open and flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to caring for your pets. I am based in Long Beach (2+ years) and have a valid drivers license and car (10+ years). Please feel free to ask me any questions! I do not provide care at my own home. I will give all my love and attention to your animal in need of care! I love to play with animals and treat them as if they are my own!

“Giovanny was awesome! He was kind, respectful and communicative. He was great with our pup. He followed our instructions and our pup loved him. We were even running late to get back home on time and Gio stayed until we returned. Highly recommend!”

“Ali was great to meet and so sweet with my dogs right away. She got down to their level and stayed kind and patient, even when one of them kept barking at her now and then. They both warmed up to her so quickly, which says a lot! She asked thoughtful questions that made me feel like she really understood their needs and genuinely cared about them. On the day of the sit, she was very communicative about her arrival and departure times, which I really appreciated. She also sent lots of photos and videos throughout the day which I appreciated as someone who tends to always worry!”

“Candace was amazing! Very friendly and understanding of my Lola's needs. Lola really felt comfortable around Candace early on, making me comfortable knowing someone was going to take care of my Baby.”

“Joel is the absolute best! He looked after my cat for 10 days when I went on vacation and I got multiple updates a day and lots of photos of how much fun they were having together! Joel was the perfect house guest. I swear he left my home cleaner than when I left. My cat was so relaxed and happy when I got home I knew without a doubt that Joel had treated him just like his own fur baby. I will be singing Joel’s praise for weeks to come and have already booked another sitting with him!”

“We LOVE having Kelsi watch our baby. Our doggy always wags his tail and runs to her. She spent so much time with him which we appreciated especially now that he’s a senior pup. Thanks again Kelsi!”

“Brendan has made us feel like we can travel again! As we have a senior dog, we are reluctant to leave him--he's set in his ways and does not like changes to his routine which causes stress (for him and for us). Brendan set us at ease immediately. He has an extensive experience with all types of dogs, and was well aware of the unique needs of seniors: funky about feeding, different types of meds and med schedules, and the possibility of incontinence. Brendan took all of this in stride AND made us feel confident he could manage any issues should they arise. From day one, Brendan sent pictures and updates and was very communicative about Maxwell's behavior, habits and general well-being while we were gone. Although it was a lengthy stay (8 nights), he was communicative throughout and took good care of our home. I would have Brendan at our home again without question. I felt comfortable and confident that he would take good care of our sweet Maxwell. He got to know his personality and quickly seemed to understand Maxwell and that was clear in his communications with us.”

“Ivy took a good care of our dogs for 9 days including administering insulin shots to one of our senior dogs. All of our 3 dogs warmed up to Ivy right away because of her calm demeanor, and Abi, the young GSD, even got zoomies while we were away which tells us she was very comfortable with Ivy. Ivy is also a great communicator, flexible, and always punctual. Thank you Ivy!”

“We were nervous to leave our dog as he sometimes shows minor separation anxiety but Armando did such a great job!! He is super calm and laid back but also very responsive to messages. Would definitely book him again.”

“Showed up last minute to save the day and went above and beyond for us! We definitely hope to book Brianna again soon! She sent updates throughout and even left late when plans didn't go as hoped! Thank you Brianna!”

“Elizabeth did an amazing job! This is the first time I’ve had a pet sitter. My cat had a wound and a cone and no one except my mom has ever watched my dog. So, I was a little nervous. But, Elizabeth’s sweet spirit put me at ease. She sent me pictures of my cat’s wound so I could see the progress and pictures of my dog when she walked him. She also sent additional periodic pictures and gave me updates. Elizabeth was very thorough and truly cared about doing the best job possible. My house was immaculate when I came home. Elizabeth truly went above and beyond and I’m so grateful for her!”

About: I’ve spent over a decade in hospitality and operations, running shifts at places like Starbucks and a local beer lab, which basically means I’m used to juggling a hundred things at once while staying calm, warm, and on schedule. Turns out that’s great training for dog care too: reading personalities fast, sticking to routines, and making sure everyone (two legs or four) feels comfortable in a new environment. I’ve got a dog of my own, so I know the drill: the 6am zoomies, the separation anxiety whining, the food that “definitely doesn’t cause gas.” Whether your pup is a couch potato, a chaos gremlin, or somewhere in between, I’ll treat them like they’re already part of the household. Ten-plus years in hospitality means I’m used to following exact protocols and communicating clearly, and I apply that same discipline to pet care. Safety and consistency come first, in my home or yours. I keep a calm, predictable environment because cats do best with routine, so I stick to feeding times, litter maintenance, and any specific instructions you give me exactly as written, no improvising.
About: I worked as a vet tech for 6 years and dog grooming for 4 years. Ive had dogs my whole life. I can't wait to meet your family member! I love walking and what's better than walking? Walking with a loving friend of the family. I will drop everything for a dog in need. I always make sure to keep open communication with the owners and other family members. Also I love sending little photos or videos of us :)
About: I always had pets of all kinds growing up and grew to love all animals. I have cared for cats, dogs, and all other pets for family, friends, and clients for over a decade by doing walks, drop in visits, and overnight pet sitting. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time during my weekly routine to schedule any dog walks, drop ins, and pet sitting days. I provide the best care possible for all pets in my care. I make sure that I am observing the animals behavior to check if they are comfortable and follow all owners instructions to perfection.
About: I am a lifetime dog and cat parent and animal lover. A member of ASPCA and World Wildlife Federation. . I have 17 years of professional experience as a pet/ house sitter. I’m a trusted professional who puts the best interests of your pet first. I believe pets do better in their own homes while their guardian is away and I can offer companionship, fun and plenty of exercise. I am available on short notice when you just can't get away from work to walk or feed your pet. Available for extended stays at your home. I will care for your pets and your home as if they were my own. Secure your home, take out garbage, close blinds, turn lights on and or off and clean up any pet waste. I can be available at a moment’s notice and for extended stays. I start with plenty of encouragement and affection. A quick walk or play and then breakfast. Playtime and multiple extended walks. Maybe to the dog park or dog beach if desired. Dinner and plenty of snuggles.

“Lucia was wonderful and deserves 10 stars if I could give them!! From the start she responded quickly to my request, we set up a meet and greet to see if we were the right fit and I knew right away she would be great. We met a second time before leaving so the dogs would be familiar with her and it went off without a hitch! In addition to walking the dogs, sending me photos and videos and updates, I came home to a wonderfully clean home. I can tell she even ran the vacuum over the floors before our return (this did not go unnoticed - with two hairy dogs and black bamboo floors throughout the house every hair shows). I cannot recommend Lucia highly enough!!! It was such a relief to know my furbabies and my home were in good hands!! We will definitely be requesting her services again!”

Bethany was fantastic! I couldn't be happier with her services. Luna really doesn't like to be alone and Bethany gave her lots of attention while I was away. Luna got playtime, I got lots of photos and updates putting my mind at ease. Luna also has some stricter rules about playtime due to health concerns, but also has tons of energy. Bethany navigated it perfectly! I know I will be calling on her again in the future. Thank you so much, Bethany! Luna had a wonderful time!

Heather was wonderful with our three dogs and one of the first sitters we ever trusted with them. She immediately put us at ease and took such great care of everything while we were away for a week. One thing we really appreciated was how she reached out with thoughtful questions about each of the dogs personalities and how they get along. It was really nice because it showed she genuinely wanted to get to know them and make sure she was caring for them in the best way possible. One of the biggest bonuses is that she also cleans houses on the side, and it truly shows. We came home to a house that was even cleaner than when we left it, which was such a nice surprise after traveling and made coming home feel so much more relaxing. She was also incredibly thoughtful and flexible when our flight got delayed. She went out of her way to come back later in the evening to let the dogs out, which we really appreciated. She stayed in great communication the entire time and kept us updated, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and detail oriented sitter.

John was kind, thorough, and dedicated to our pups while house sitting for us. They were so happy when we got home which is not usual for when we leave them. John left the home super tidy as well and followed all our instructions. He spent ample time with them during the day and was honest about his other obligations and how much time our dogs would be alone each day, which is much more direct than any of the other sitters we have used. He sent us daily updates and was quick to respond. He was even able to accomodate a last minute request I had for him. We appreciate you, John! And will certainly have you back when we need the help!! Thank you!

An absolute GODSEND. I've had housesitters and used boarders before, but this was the first time using Rover and I couldn't imagine a better experience for Rover than to have Sharyl as the example I got as a housesitter. She was superb! At a very difficult and stressful time, she was able to housesit for three days and two nights and take care of my two pups (a 40 pound full-of-energy Brittany, and a 18 pound dachshund/terrier mix). She made me feel at ease and comfortable with choosing her, and made them feel taken care of and loved. Excellent dog skills and superior people skills too. I received regular updates on the dogs and pics of them too. Even with a demanding food regimen and the boundless energy of these dogs on their walks, she came through with flying colors! Thank the heavens for her!
