My goal is to make their time with me feel safe, fun, and familiar — whether you’re out skiing, hiking, working, or enjoying the lake. I’m outdoors daily, so dog walks and playtime fit perfectly into my routine. Whether it’s morning walks by the lake or afternoon play sessions, I make sure each dog stays active and happy. My schedule is flexible and I can adjust to your dog’s usual feeding and exercise times. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine — I build my schedule around the dogs I care for. “Micaela took excellent care of my cavalier, Chowder, while we went to a not dog friendly part of the lake. He had so much fun with her, will book again next time we’re in town!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have grew more and more responsible for taking care of them as I got older. My mom also owns a dog watching company back home in Lake Tahoe, so we constantly had multiple dogs in our house which I helped her feed ,walk and play with. I am currently working Monday through Thursday but have evenings and mornings open. Friday through Sunday I am very available and always looking for an activity to do outside that the pups can come on. My home has a fenced in yard and tons of indoor space. I also live across from a park the dogs can play in and there are multiple trail heads only steps away l.
“I booked a daycare for Toffee when I went for dinner! She had a blast playing in the yard with the sitter’s other dog. She came home happy and tired, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The sitter was friendly and communicative, and I felt comfortable leaving my dog in their care. Would definitely book again!”

“We left our mini poodle, Meadow, with Bella and I’m so glad we did. She was incredibly responsive from the start, and sent the sweetest photo updates of Meadow — by the water and at the park — which gave us so much peace of mind. Meadow has some anxiety, and Bella took the time to check in and ask thoughtful questions about how to help her feel more comfortable. That level of care meant a lot to us. Bella (and her partner, Riley) took such good care of Meadow. If you’re looking for someone in the Tahoe area who is genuinely attentive, patient, and caring, Bella is definitely a top choice!”

About: I've had pets my entire life, including both dogs and cats. I've had puppies and taken care of senior animals including giving medicine and extra frequent care. I mostly work from home and have a flexible schedule. I'm most available mornings and evenings, but can easily adjust my daytime schedule to be with your pet! I have a large fenced in back yard for your dog to explore and play. We recently lost our dog to cancer so no other animals in the house, but plenty of toys and beds for your pup to use. I am very pro-leash in public spaces, having had an anxious and reactive dog, leashes can make social situations a lot less scary! I also have a solid list of less crowded Tahoe trails to provide a more relaxing outdoor experience. Or, if your pup is a social butterfly, we can hit up more public hikes, parks, and beaches.
About: My husband Brendan and I moved to South Lake Tahoe last fall and we have a cute six month old Labrador puppy called Poppy. We’re looking forward to connecting with other dog lovers in the area! I am working from home in South Lake Tahoe and have a flexible schedule, so I can do drop offs and pick ups as well. I have a fenced backyard that our puppy loves. She loves other dogs and will keep them entertained. We are also fine with having dogs on the sofa.
About: Hello! I'm thrilled at the prospect of caring for your beloved pet. For me, safety is the absolute top priority, closely followed by making sure your furry friend has a great time! My life-long passion for animals started because I was raised with pets and I've turned that passion into hands-on experience: Veterinary Assistant Experience: Working as a vet assistant gave me invaluable insight into animal health, behavior, and care. This background means I'm adept at recognizing subtle changes in well-being and can handle sensitive situations with confidence. Animal Shelter Work: My time at the shelter involved caring for animals with diverse personalities and needs, reinforcing my patience and ability to quickly earn a pet's trust. What I Offer: Whether it's a long, energetic walk, a quiet evening snuggle session on the couch, or providing specialized care, your pet is in excellent hands. I am fully proficient in administering medications (pills, liquids, or injections) and will ensure your pet sticks to their routine. You can also rest assured that your home will be impeccably cared for, leaving you with nothing to worry about while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your pet! I have my own cleaning business and work for myself. I create my own schedule and have plenty of time to schedule walks and overnights I am happy to come to your home to keep your pets comfortable with what they are familiar with. My small home is available for pets to stay as well. I am very attentive to your pets needs and will do everything to make sure they are happy and loved!
“Jan was AMAZING! I’d give 6 stars if I could. Jan took Toby to the beach and sent us loads of photos. Toby was exhausted when we got home(as any dog owner knows, this is a good thing!). Also shows that Jan was out and about with our little one, which we are also super appreciate of! We will use Jan again the next time we are in Tahoe.”

“My dog loved Melissa (and Obi) so much she did not want to go home! Melissa was communicative, easy to coordinate with, and very professional. Perfect spot for my dog to have a fun day while I was out adventuring in South Lake.”

About: My fiance and I have a Bulldog Lab mix with epilepsy named Asparagus. Seizures with a 90+ dog are difficult, but I do what I need to to make sure he is comfortable and not a danger to himself. My life long friend, Dodger, passed away at 15 this last year. She passed in my arms, after about a year of doing everything we possibly could to keep her comfortable, including administering ointments and frequent diaper changes. I love animals more than I love people and have been caring for all sorts since I was very young. I also have experience with cats, chinchillas, and an assortment of reptiles, rodents, and amphibians. My schedule is very flexible, which is great because I can make room for all the lovely animals out there! I am a bartender around town, but this never takes up full days. I am attentive and caring. I am also very observant and great at reading situations, whether that be with the environment or other animals or needs more specific to your pet.
“Such a great experience with Melissa, she is so such a dog lover and extremely friendly. JoJo had a great day with her. We would love to bring JoJo back to her next time. Thank you again, Melissa !!”

“Indy had a great time with Lisa and her sweet dachshund, bunnies and kittens! Lisa was super flexible and took our booking at the last minute, and we really appreciated her positive attitude and the fact that she sent pics throughout the day. We will definitely book with her the next time we are in town!”
