This was a difficult decision for us as our dogs have never ever been left with someone else. We couldn't have been more happy. Beautiful home, Beautiful yard and loving care. My dogs, while confused, were instantly at ease. Kathy sent pictures and updates though out the dogs stay. It was easy on us and easy on the dogs. I would recommend Kathy in a second and if I have the chance to go to tahoe again, I would use her again in a second. About: I am Andi, mom to 12-year-old Henry. Henry LOVES dogs and is excited to host some new dog friends in our home. Henry and I will work together to make sure your dog is happy, healthy, exercised, fed and loved. We had an elderly dog who we loved dearly, who passed over the rainbow doggie bridge, so to speak, in May. We are used to administering medicine and taking care of all types of dogs because of him. We also have a toddler in our home so dogs must tolerate little kids. Andi is home full-time to be with your dog. Henry goes to school Monday - Friday but is excited to help on weekends and after school. We live in a neighborhood without fences. We will walk your dog as many times per day as they need. About: I have lots of dog experience, I’m a runner as well if you want your dog real tired. I also grew up with a Great Pyrenees and a shitzu so size does not matter to me. I’ve trained all my dogs growing up and have lots of animal care experience Mornings and evenings I do work a 9-5, but on weekends I am more flexible. I usually run in the evening as well if you’re looking for a harder workout I try to burn as many calories, give as much attention and love, then challenge their brains as well so they’re not bored. Sniff walks are big!

Looking to help others who might need a check in or extra walk with their pet during the day or while they’re out on the hill making some turns. I work from home & own a business in town. Always out and about and happy to make an extra stop to check in on a furry friend along the way. I was raised with walking my dog on a leash, and I still believe that is the safest method for a dog when outside walking around the neighborhood or on bike paths. When working with new dogs (or cats) if the area is not fenced in, a leash or harness will be requested so the pets safety is ensured. After creating a relationship with the pet, off leash walks are doable on trails.

About: Hi there! My name is Andi, I’m a ski patroller and avalanche rescue dog handler at Heavenly. I’m on Rover to look for part time work while getting to do something I love, be with animals. I’m a full time ski patroller in the winter and an EMT in the summer. I grew up with and helped raise an few animals in my family, volunteered at my local SPCA and have several years of experience dog sitting and walking. I can take dogs on walks, trail running or swimming, I love anything outdoors. I am a certified EMT and although I do not have education in dog healthcare specifically, I would consider my medical and rescue skills as expert. I currently have a 10 month old black lab puppy that is in training to be an avalanche rescue dog and have worked with the other dogs on our team with training, obedience and avalanche rescue skills. I typically have Tuesday-thursday off each week and am available those days anytime to help with pet care. On Friday-Monday I am available in the morning and evening to help with walks, adventures or just letting your pet out and giving them some pets. I am excellent at routines and following directions, I am happy to learn and implement whatever routine works best for your pets. About: Greetings. I’ve had a best friend who was with me everyday for 15 years. I was with her from the beginning to the end. I am sensitive to the needs of our dogs and always very aware of our surroundings. I’m ultra aware of the cayotes up here and all their tricks. With the new smells and distractions for some dogs that are not from here I always feel safer to keep them on leash during our walks. I live alone in a quiet cabin on a quiet street, no traffic and no neighbors. Big fenced back yard and a small gated front porch. I know all the trails in Sierra track as well as the whole area. I’m very flexible and will take care of all the little things that are needed and the unexpected ones that pop up. I know how stressfull it can be traveling and then leaving your best friend with someone. I will communicate with you and make it easy and stress free. It’s a big adjustment not having my sweet girl Francis. I was so used to waking up and she was there, or coming home and she was sitting in my spot waiting for me. Honestly this is good for me having a dog around. It’s helping with this process I’m going through. I am very flexible and available almost anytime and on short notice if life happens. I know how that goes. I know the trails and areas to go that are safe and fun. Im an early riser, and I enjoy mornings walks when it’s nice and quiet with no traffic or crowds of people. I have no problem with taking the pup with me in the car to run a quick errand or even better a day trip somewhere. Some dogs love car rides with the window down and nose out. And some do not. It’s all optional, absolutely no problems leaving him or her at home while I’m out for a sec. I primarily work from home and would be with him/her almost all the time. My dog Francis was a little attached. Maybe loyal is a better word. I was very lucky with her and didn’t have to worry too much. But I learned to never ever let anything happen to her. Very aware of our environment. Cars, other dogs, cayotes, bees , bodies of water and all weather conditions, hot pavement and even to always avoid the drains/grates in the roads ect. I’m not disactred by my phone or anything else. I’ll only feed what the owner approves.
About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was a kid and lived in a 7 car household at one point. I currently have one cat and I’m skilled in cleaning their litter boxes, feeding, playing and giving them the attention they need.

About: Growing up with animals gave me a special appreciation and gratitude for all fur babies. I’ve cared for many animals throughout my life. I even lived on an animal sanctuary for a year and half tending to rescued farm animals. About: Hi! My dog Enzo and I enjoy hiking around Tahoe. I would love to take your fur friend on all of the adventures with us! I usually spend my days off wandering in the woods and playing at the lake. My ideal day may include a morning hike, evening walk, lake sunset, porch relaxing, reading/Netflix at bedtime with dog cuddles. I can offer as much or as little activity as needed, feeding times flexible, house rules flexible (furniture/no furniture, crate/free roaming) depending on your home routines. I would also be more than happy to take care of your pups while you’re out of town. Enzo and I can come to your place, or your dog can stay with us at ours. I work as an emergency room nurse so my shifts are variable, but I have four days off each week. When I am not working, I am able to be with the dogs doing dog adventures all day long! I am often off work for a week at a time. My schedule is variable because I work in health care. When I am not at the hospital working, I can dedicate the whole day to hanging with the pups Dogs will stay in the house with frequent potty breaks. About: I've always had a deep connection with dogs and animals growing up in Northern California farmland. I live close to the Casino corridor, with a fenced yard, in a cozy and conveniently located cabin. Over the past several years I shared my place and adventured with my furry companions Cushion and Maddy, a German Shepherd Lab mix and a mini Australian Shepherd. My friends have recognized my care for dogs and have asked and accepted to watch their furry friends when they leave town. I am looking to take this to a new level, professionally through Rover. About: Hi there! My name is Andi, I’m a ski patroller and avalanche rescue dog handler at Heavenly. I’m on Rover to look for part time work while getting to do something I love, be with animals. I’m a full time ski patroller in the winter and an EMT in the summer. I grew up with and helped raise an few animals in my family, volunteered at my local SPCA and have several years of experience dog sitting and walking. I can take dogs on walks, trail running or swimming, I love anything outdoors. I am a certified EMT and although I do not have education in dog healthcare specifically, I would consider my medical and rescue skills as expert. I currently have a 10 month old black lab puppy that is in training to be an avalanche rescue dog and have worked with the other dogs on our team with training, obedience and avalanche rescue skills. I typically have Tuesday-thursday off each week and am available those days anytime to help with pet care. On Friday-Monday I am available in the morning and evening to help with walks, adventures or just letting your pet out and giving them some pets. I am excellent at routines and following directions, I am happy to learn and implement whatever routine works best for your pets. I love to trail run and hike and can take your pets with me or just hangout at the park or home if that’s what they prefer. I’m also very clean, organized and respectful of your home and space and can help keep it clean/ house sit as well!

About: Growing up with animals gave me a special appreciation and gratitude for all fur babies. I’ve cared for many animals throughout my life. I even lived on an animal sanctuary for a year and half tending to rescued farm animals. About: Puppies are my expertise! Dog owner and volunteer at the local Truckee Tahoe humane society. Fostered over 30 puppies and dogs. Love taking dogs on fun adventures around Tahoe. My schedule is open for pretty much anything. Live locally and can accommodate anywhere around the lake. Prefer north/west/east shore. But open to other locations around Tahoe. My dog is family. About: Hello! My name is Alora, and I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. I’ve spent the past year working as a vet tech at a local veterinary hospital, so I’m very comfortable around dogs and cats. If your animal is every hurt or sick, I am qualified to take care, and watch over them. I’m used exercising, cleaning up after, and giving medications to animals. I’m also a dog mom to a black and white Mutt named Ray. As far as exercising your pet, it can range from short or long walks, trail walks, runs, or playing with toys, depending on what they need/like. House sitting will consist of me keeping your pet company, feeding, and all the exercise they need. If needed I can spend the night, or if you prefer I can come back in the morning. I am currently a bartender so I can be available to take your animals out during the day while you work! I love to get outside and hike, bike, and go to the beach, so if you have an adventurous dog I can cater to its needs. About: I am Andi, mom to 12-year-old Henry. Henry LOVES dogs and is excited to host some new dog friends in our home. Henry and I will work together to make sure your dog is happy, healthy, exercised, fed and loved. We had an elderly dog who we loved dearly, who passed over the rainbow doggie bridge, so to speak, in May. We are used to administering medicine and taking care of all types of dogs because of him. We also have a toddler in our home so dogs must tolerate little kids. Andi is home full-time to be with your dog. Henry goes to school Monday - Friday but is excited to help on weekends and after school. We live in a neighborhood without fences. We will walk your dog as many times per day as they need. They can be on leash or off leash depending on recall and temperament.
