About: I grew up in a family with dogs and since I was a child I had a great love and compassion for all living creatures. My friend and I were bringing home wounded birds and little creatures to rescue them and any lost, stray dogs wondering on the streets. Upon moving to Tahoe area in CA whenever my friends needed help to take care of their two cats while they were traveling, I was more than happy to do so. I myself am a dog and a cat parent. Both my pets are rescued, and I believe it’s mutual because animals are simply best companions for me, my two teen kids and we all share passion for outdoors. As a Tahoe local for almost two decades and always being a dog owner, I know lots of dog friendly places and safe trails to take them for an adventure and exercise. My own dog Rambo has a very friendly personality, gets along with other dogs very well and is always happy to have a companion to play, walk, run or wrestle with. I will be more than happy to take care of your beloved pet and can assure you your pet will receive the care, attention and love he or she deserves, just like all living creatures do! I'm self-employed and always arrange my schedule to fit my own pets needs and can accommodate other pets needs. Most days I'm flexible to take a break mid day for a walk with my dog. Mornings and late afternoons is our time for a longer time outside. Weekends are for long adventures (hiking, running, xc skiing etc) We live in a quiet neighborhood with an easy access to the trails and a green belt area right out the door. We have a fenced backyard where the dogs can safely play. Since I’m a longtime (since 2007) resident of Tahoe area and a dog owner for all these years I know well the trails and areas that are dog friendly and safe to take them for a walk and/or playtime.

About: I have lots of dog experience, I’m a runner as well if you want your dog real tired. I also grew up with a Great Pyrenees and a shitzu so size does not matter to me. I’ve trained all my dogs growing up and have lots of animal care experience Mornings and evenings I do work a 9-5, but on weekends I am more flexible. I usually run in the evening as well if you’re looking for a harder workout I try to burn as many calories, give as much attention and love, then challenge their brains as well so they’re not bored. Sniff walks are big!

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, from growing up with them to having two Labrador Retrievers of my own. I also spent college as the head caretaker for our bulldog mascot, which required professional training. These days, I work remotely, so I have a lot more flexibility than the typical 9-to-5 sitter. When I’m house sitting, your dog can have plenty of company throughout the day rather than being left alone for hours. I can work from your home, take breaks for walks, and adjust the routine around what your dog is used to. I live in the Tahoe area and spend a lot of my free time outside, so I’m especially happy to get out for walks, hikes, or just some time in the fresh air with an energetic dog. At the same time, I’m equally happy hanging out at home with a senior dog or a pup who would rather spend the afternoon on the couch. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and have experience with senior dogs, daily exercise, and oral medications. My goal is to keep your dog comfortable and on their normal routine while you’re away, take good care of your home, and send enough photos and updates that you know they’re doing well. I’m happy to meet beforehand so we can make sure it’s a good fit and go over your dog’s routine, favorite spots, and anything else I should know. I work remotely and have flexibility on weekdays and weekends to stay at your home full-time or do frequent drop-ins, depending on the client’s preferences. I take the utmost care for a clients space when dog sitting, respecting all guidelines, over communicating as needed, and leaving the space as if I was never there each time. I like to share frequent updates proactively so the owner can be at peace their dog is well taken care of.

About: Retired Agriculture leader, large animal vet tech. I know many breeds and types. My children board in Sacramento county I've hosted large scale petting zoos. A 4-H leader for many years. About: I have taken dog training classes at the local animal shelter. I offer puppies plenty of time for teething tug-of-war and have tons of patience with the geriatric slow walkers. I work part time, close to home, which offers plenty of time for dog walking, drop ins and over night care. My hours are flexible. I would keep your dog safe on a leash and have a large crate if that would help them feel secure in a different environment.

About: I am an animal lover and am the person all the friends reach out if they need a sitter. I have recently relocated from LA. I can take your fur babies to the beach, dog park, regular park, hiking, or just Netflix and take naps. Im very punctual so meals will be given on time, peepee poopoo walks at least every 2-4hrs, if theres med will be given on time, Lots of vid/photos will be sent if requested. This is my full time for now so taking care of fur babies all say 24/7 Your fur babies will not be alone for a second My place has an unfenced yard and im right next to the lake 30 sec walk to the beach. We can hang out at home or go to a park. Same applies if we were at your place

About: I have owned a dog years ago. Miss having them around. I am only a dog aunt now. I am very active and love walks, runs, playing on the beach. I currently am not working and have more availability until August 19th. Starting then, I will be unavailable 7:30-3 Monday-Friday. I enjoy taking dogs for a walk in the morning and evening time. I live a pretty active lifestyle. I don’t mind taking your dog for a hike. I provide a safe, comfortable environment for pets, including a dedicated guest room where they can sleep. Air conditioning is available during warmer weather to ensure your pet's comfort. I also offer in home pet care and can travel to your residence if preferred. Pets in my care receive plenty of attention and exercise, including two daily walks, one in the morning and one in the evening. While I do not have a fenced yard, I am located less than 10 minutes from Kiva Beach and am happy to take dogs there for additional outdoor time and enrichment

My cat, Maithai, likes to observe dogs from a distance and stays to herself unless she is in a playful mood. She can be separated as well since my spacious 3 bedroom home offers such accommodations. About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life and have been pet sitting/dog walking outside of Rover for years. Now just trying to make it more official! Currently working full time between two restaurants, but I work a lot of nights. I have my own dog that I walk for atleast a couple miles every morning/afternoon. She gets along with every dog and loves new friends! My sweet dog Birdie loves new friends and keeping other dogs company. It’s fun to have another dog to walk with us because between the playing and running, their exercise doubles :) I have an extra large crate that I can use if wanted or needed. I believe in positive reinforcement's with pets and treats, and may even be able to teach new tricks!

About: I have lived in Tahoe for 25 years and always had my own dog and watched over my friend's dogs throughout the years. My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer. I work from home and board my friend's dogs as well as check in and walk dogs when owners need help. I do have a number of recent references. I have worked from home for 25 years. I am very active and walk frequently. I am an early morning riser and monitor how often dogs need a walk or outside break. Pets are a part of my daily routine. My home: I have beds set up and recognize different doggy routines, ie need to go on the porch for sun, or need to go out for a break and walk. I have a section on my porch and in the laundry area for their food and water and a special area where I organize all the food, medication, leaches, doggy bags. I have a place by my couches with a large basket with balls, toys and stuffed doggy animals. I watch a number of my friend's dogs, and each has a unique and special routine and they have all come to trust me a look forward to visiting. I stay a bit at some of my friend's houses if they want me to help with house watch, plants, delivery receipt and other home needs while they are traveling and away on extended trips.
