“Scott watched our two Vizslas for the afternoon. When we got home, they wanted to go with him. They played and were very happy enjoying Scott. We got stuck in traffic and Scott was very understanding. Will book with Scott next time we need a sitter.”

2. Toni M.

“Toni is absolutely the BEST dog sitter! I am so grateful to have found someone that I know is giving my boy the best care when I'm away. Toni is excellent at communication with a super fast response time and multiple daily updates. She took wonderful care of our home and left such a sweet note and small gift for us. It is truly evident how much she cares for animals! Thank you SO MUCH Toni!!!”

The dogs had lots of walks and she sent pictures of their fun together. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their fur babies.”

7. Anthony S.
About: With nearly a lifetime of experience raising and training dogs, primarily hunting/sport breeds, I have been exposed to various handling styles and training techniques that have lead me to focusing on Free-Shaping my personal pack of dogs for the past 13 years. Because I have 3 dogs of my own (teenager, adult, senior) I have a pretty regular routine everyday of various activities with them individually and as a pack. Thursday through Sunday the flexibility of my open availability allows me to take on additional dogs on a part-time basis. Working with dogs will hopefully keep me from growing my pack anymore...fur now😉. My pups have individual crates, and beds to relax in the house. Big back yard, unfortunately unfenced, but there is a tether run and tie outs to use as needed. Dogs are never in the yard unsupervised. I transport them in a Chevy Suburban to other fun places around the Tahoe/Truckee area. Everyday is filled with multiple adventures, meal times in the early AM and late evening after a long walk. Individual needs or "rules" for your fur baby are completely respected, "it's your pup, it's your call".

8. Nettie R.
About: I have been caring for dogs for over 40 years. I will spend all of my time with your dog, hiking, swimming, playing in the snow and cuddling. Your dog will be my only priority. I am available to take care of all of your dogs with each scheduled visit. I will always ask if it is ok to also care for another dog along with yours. I am interested in boarding your dog/ dogs while you enjoy Lake Tahoe. I will be able to spend all of my time with your dog. I will provide a safe and clean environment for your dog. When we hike, swim, play in the snow, they will be on a leash. I will always be very careful with your dog.

9. Diane C.
“Diane is the biggest dog lover I know. She will say hi to a dog before she does people. She takes the best care of my wiener dog, takes her for walks and feds her, even will let our dog sleep on the bed with her. Diane is amazing she will take great care of your dog! The dogs will be so happy with her, they won't even stress out that you the owner isn't even there. 10 out of 10 stars in my book. You won't find a better care for your dog. She will love them to the fullest!!”

10. Peyton R.
About: There is nothing I would love more than to have a house full of pets. However, the nature of my seasonal work has allowed me to meet plenty of wonderful animals. I've had many opportunities to dog sit and dog walk in NYC, Missoula and South Lake Tahoe. One of my favorite activities is to take my friend’s dog Maple on hikes in the rocky mountains. As an avid hiker and backpacker, exercise is important to me. I love walking around New York and walking dogs fits in with this favorite activity of mine. Instructions and directions are important to me when watching someone’s pet, so as long as you specify your dog or cats needs I will be more than willing to accommodate them. This includes how you would like me to occupy your house if house sitting. I can take special routes, go slow, provide medicine and feed your pet according to your wishes with a safe and careful nature.

11. Dismas W.

“Dismas watched our Vaderdog at our place. He took him out for two walks and took great care of him. He even sent us a picture of our boy. When we got home Vader was calm and seemed to have really enjoyed his company. We really appreciated him and would absolutely recommend his services.”

12. Brenna D.
“Brenna was amazing with River! She checked in on River multiple times a day and gave her all the exercise and cuddles she needed. I would highly recommend her and I will definitely be using her again in the future!”

13. Kaelin R.
“Kaelin has house-sat and taken care of my dog and cat while I’ve been out of town a few times. He is always very responsive and my pets are very happy and safe with him! Would definitely recommend and rebook.”

14. Bella L.
About: Hi! I’m Bella, a pet owner and animal lover. I grew up on a farm with a wide variety of pets my entire life. I have experience with dogs, cats, livestock, and household pets. Growing up I had a wide range of animals and started my pet sitting career with neighbors and family friends. Over the years I have continued pet sitting in any city I lived in. I have extensive experience primarily with dogs and cats, but am more than comfortable with pets outside of that (especially farm animals.) I have a dog of my own who is reaching her senior years so I feel comfortable with extra care needs such as giving medications, any eye or ear care, and special dietary requirements. Pet sitting allows me to give lots of love to your fur babies while giving their owners peace of mind while away. Pet care is a daily routine for me as I have a dog of my own. I currently have an open schedule so that allows me to adapt to the needs of any pet that I am looking after without interference. My roommates and I all have our own pets so we have created an environment that meets all of their needs. The larger dogs spend the majority of the day in our fully fenced yard but are crate trained when necessary. Our smaller, older dogs choose to spend their days relaxing indoors with frequent potty breaks. Having that environment at home allows me to care for any pets the best way for them. However your pet is most comfortable, I can provide that.

15. Lilli G.
“Lilli is a very charismatic individual, especially towards animals. She often cares for my dog (while also tending to her own) if I have long days of work or class. She helps me to train good puppy manners and easy commands. I have also witnessed her taking care of a mutual friend’s two dogs. Lilli has a passion for all four-legged friends and would be eager to help you out!”

16. Corliss L.
About: I will always treat your pet as one of my own. With 20 years of dog caring experience, I am able to provide safe and comfortable environment for your pup while you’re away. I have personally been a dog owner from puppy to senior stages these last 20 years, including my adopted adult furbaby who I was told was on the streets for 3 months before his arrival to the animal shelter. My current pup is a 2 year old Maltipoo I have had since he was 10 weeks old. He’s been through obedience and agility courses and is currently being trained to be a service animal as his long term goal. Happy to provide fun casual training sessions for your pup with owner approved treats if that’s something you’d like for your pup under my care. I have dog sat a variety of breeds throughout the years. However, my main services this time around are for small to medium sized doodles who’ll need a caretaker that understands their temperament and playful energy amidst all the larger outdoor pups in the Tahoe region. I make sure to obtain all relevant information I need to know about your pup before we part ways. I also love sending updates throughout the day because I know I would want to know what my own pup is doing without me. Feel free to ask me any questions! Your pup will be able to hang out with me all day long! And have a playmate, my 2 year old furbaby Bentley, to enjoy their stay with! We may even go on some on leash adventures around the Tahoe Basin if that’s something your pup will enjoy doing. First and foremost, I would love to first meet your pup on neutral grounds (if I were to dog sit at your residence) in case there will be territorial issues by having a stranger (me!) entering their private space. This can be just outside your home on the side walk. If it’s to drop off at my place, I would like for us to have a consultation meeting to have your pup get acclimated in a new environment (my home) first before we have them return for a longer period of time for their stay. My 2 year old 13lb maltipoo is highly socialized and is a playful companion for those who also need a playmate throughout the day to exert their energy out. I have a fenced and shaded large deck where the pups can comfortable play and relax in throughout the day. Fresh water is always provided and depending on their diet, treats are also available. You are also welcome to provide their preferred treats and food items upon their drop off. Walks typically occur late morning and late afternoon — also dependent on weather. Of course if there is a particular schedule specifically for your pup, I will accommodate as much as possible for their comfort. I aim to provide the same amount of love and care for them as they would get from you!

17. Claire O.
“Claire would be my first choice for a pet sitter. She is responsible, caring and fun. She understands their needs and is very attentive. River will love Claire!”

18. Chris & Tess H.
“Tess is excellent with pets!! Their attention to detail in their home provides comfort, and safety. They’re attentive to pet needs and do not shy away from adventures with four legged friends. I got the cutest pic of Tess and my Kevin at a local brewery which made me feel better about being in Mexico!”

19. Gordon E.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I’ve been able to remember. I want to make sure they feel like they’re at a home away from home. I have my own pup Auzzii and love him with my whole heart. I do everything I can to make sure he is living his best life. I promise to give the same level of care to your pups! I do everything I can to make your pet feel at home. I give them just as much love as I do my own. I can tend to any special needs and make sure they have as much fun as possible. You can trust me with any needs your special family member requires.

20. Madison P.
“Shoutout to Madison for being an awesome dog walker! She's walked my dog when I've been out of town on trips, and every time has been top-notch. I have been able to enjoy myself while on vacation knowing she's giving my dog all the love and attention he needs. Her love for animals is the real deal, and you can tell she genuinely enjoys hanging out with them. Plus, she's got a great connection with her own dog, Lucky – she's a fantastic dog mom. So, if you're on the lookout for a compassionate and reliable dog walker, Madison's your go-to. Highly recommend 🐾”
