About: I bring a calm, loving presence and truly enjoy bonding with each dog I care for. While I don’t have a pup of my own right now, I’ve helped friends and family with dogs of all ages—from energetic puppies to slow-moving seniors. I live an active lifestyle and love getting outside for long walks, hikes, or just some playful fetch time. I’m detail-oriented, patient, and treat every pet like they’re my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved every step of the way. I have a flexible schedule and love making time for pet care throughout the week. I'm available for morning walks, midday visits, evening care—and I’m also happy to help on weekends or with overnight stays. Spending time with dogs is something I genuinely enjoy, so I’m excited to make it a regular part of my routine. I treat every pet’s safety and comfort as a top priority. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and follow all care instructions closely—from feeding schedules to leash routines. I live in the mountains, so dogs in my care have access to peaceful trails and plenty of space to explore safely. Whether at your home or mine, I create a calm, loving environment where your pet feels secure, happy, and well cared for.

7. Clayton K.
“Clayton K is a great caregiver for pets. He spends time playing with them and making sure their needs are met. He would take really good care of your pet.”

8. Amber W.

“Amber was great! We used her for our three labs and cat for the better part of the day and evening. She was on time, a quick learner, and took excellent care of the boys. The dogs had lots of walks and she sent pictures of their fun together. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their fur babies.”

9. Margaret J.

“Margaret is wonderful. Lucca was happy and all of his meds were given properly. Will use afain”

10. Grace J.

“Grace was awesome! She took great care of our puppy Theo for a few hours while we went out to dinner. Theo is still struggling with alone time, so it was such a relief to know he had great company while we were out. He immediately took to Grace, he could tell she was a dog person :) Thank you, Grace!”

About: With nearly a lifetime of experience raising and training dogs, primarily hunting/sport breeds, I have been exposed to various handling styles and training techniques that have lead me to focusing on Free-Shaping my personal pack of dogs for the past 13 years. Because I have 3 dogs of my own (teenager, adult, senior) I have a pretty regular routine everyday of various activities with them individually and as a pack. Thursday through Sunday the flexibility of my open availability allows me to take on additional dogs on a part-time basis. Working with dogs will hopefully keep me from growing my pack anymore...fur now😉. My pups have individual crates, and beds to relax in the house. Big back yard, unfortunately unfenced, but there is a tether run and tie outs to use as needed. Dogs are never in the yard unsupervised. I transport them in a Chevy Suburban to other fun places around the Tahoe/Truckee area. Everyday is filled with multiple adventures, meal times in the early AM and late evening after a long walk. Individual needs or "rules" for your fur baby are completely respected, "it's your pup, it's your call".

12. Rose O.

“Rose was amazing! She took great care of our pets and followed their care instructions perfectly. She sent us daily updates and lots of pictures. She also took great care of our home.”

13. Olivia P.

“Great sitter. Will use again”

14. Claire O.
“Claire would be my first choice for a pet sitter. She is responsible, caring and fun. She understands their needs and is very attentive. River will love Claire!”

15. Bella L.
About: Hi! I’m Bella, a pet owner and animal lover. I grew up on a farm with a wide variety of pets my entire life. I have experience with dogs, cats, livestock, and household pets. Growing up I had a wide range of animals and started my pet sitting career with neighbors and family friends. Over the years I have continued pet sitting in any city I lived in. I have extensive experience primarily with dogs and cats, but am more than comfortable with pets outside of that (especially farm animals.) I have a dog of my own who is reaching her senior years so I feel comfortable with extra care needs such as giving medications, any eye or ear care, and special dietary requirements. Pet sitting allows me to give lots of love to your fur babies while giving their owners peace of mind while away. Pet care is a daily routine for me as I have a dog of my own. I currently have an open schedule so that allows me to adapt to the needs of any pet that I am looking after without interference. My roommates and I all have our own pets so we have created an environment that meets all of their needs. The larger dogs spend the majority of the day in our fully fenced yard but are crate trained when necessary. Our smaller, older dogs choose to spend their days relaxing indoors with frequent potty breaks. Having that environment at home allows me to care for any pets the best way for them. However your pet is most comfortable, I can provide that.

16. Brendan K.
“Brendan has always been so sweet with my 70lb lab hound mix, Bruno. He is very kind, patient, and reliable - I highly recommend him as a caregiver!”

17. Micaela G.

“Amazing job with my dog”

18. Lilli G.
“Lilli is a very charismatic individual, especially towards animals. She often cares for my dog (while also tending to her own) if I have long days of work or class. She helps me to train good puppy manners and easy commands. I have also witnessed her taking care of a mutual friend’s two dogs. Lilli has a passion for all four-legged friends and would be eager to help you out!”

19. Matt C.
About: I have grown up my entire life alongside dogs, both large and small (10 lbs to 100+ lbs). I have had two labrador retrievers myself. I also served as the head caretaker for Georgetown University's bulldog mascot, which required full professional training. I am flexible, reliable, and caring and will go above and beyond to make sure your dog is as comfortable as possible while you are away. I am currently working feel home and have flexibility during the week to host your pet at my house for daily sitting or overnight stays. I take the utmost care for a clients space when dog sitting, respecting all guidelines, over communicating as needed, and leaving the space as if I was never there each time. Your dog can rest or have playtime to get its energy out.

20. Jenelle R.
About: Hi! I've been caring for animals for as long as I can remember—starting with my family's cats and dogs growing up. I've always been an animal lover (I wanted to be a vet as a kid!) and that passion has stayed with me into adulthood. I've had the pleasure of pet sitting for both friends and strangers through Trusted Housesitters, and each experience has deepened my appreciation for pets. I also have a cat of my own who’s one of the most important parts of my life, and she’s taught me just how meaningful it is to know your pet is in good hands when you're away. Pet care fits really naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and have a lot of flexibility. I'm able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day, whether that means regular walks, playtime, or just being a comforting presence. I don’t offer pet care in my own home, but I’m happy to come to yours for visits or overnight stays so your pet can stay in their familiar, comfortable environment. I’ll follow any rules, routines, and preferences you provide, and I’ll adjust my schedule to match theirs to keep things as stress-free and consistent as possible.
