I live in the mountains, so dogs in my care have access to peaceful trails and plenty of space to explore safely. About: I have always loved animals. We had several dogs and cats while I was growing up and I have had my own dog, Luna, since I graduated college. I work full time but have lots of flexibility throughout the day. I recently lost my dog of 11 years and am happy for canine companionship. I work from home so my day has lots of flexibility and time for dog breaks and walks. I live close to several dog friendly trails.

About: I have grown up my entire life alongside dogs, both large and small (10 lbs to 100+ lbs). I have had two labrador retrievers myself. I also served as the head caretaker for my college bulldog mascot, which required full professional training. I am flexible, reliable, and caring and will go above and beyond to make sure your dog is as comfortable as possible while you are away. I work remotely and have flexibility on weekdays and weekends to stay at your home full-time or do frequent drop-ins, depending on the client’s preferences. I take the utmost care for a clients space when dog sitting, respecting all guidelines, over communicating as needed, and leaving the space as if I was never there each time. I like to share frequent updates proactively so the owner can be at peace their dog is well taken care of.

About: I have taken dog training classes at the local animal shelter. I offer puppies plenty of time for teething tug-of-war and have tons of patience with the geriatric slow walkers. I work part time, close to home, which offers plenty of time for dog walking, drop ins and over night care. My hours are flexible. I would keep your dog safe on a leash and have a large crate if that would help them feel secure in a different environment.

About: I have taken care of a lot of different animals including dogs, cats, cows, horses, sheep, goats, chickens etc. I feel confident that your pets will have a nice time hanging out with me and they will be safe and well fed. I am working as a river guide a couple of days a week so I will be unavailable while on the river. Other than that, I have an open schedule. I am living in my van so I cannot host. I spend most of my time outside so I would love to care for your pets at your home. I think that place is important and would be interested to see how your animals act when they are at home.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life. Growing up my family fostered dogs and rescued abandoned pets we found on the streets of Florida, caring for them until they were healthy, safe and loved. That early experience taught me patience, compassion, and how to understand dogs of all personalities and backgrounds. Even though I work full-time, my schedule is very flexible. I’m able to step away during the day for dog walks or drop in visits which means pets in my care never have to wait long for attention, potty brakes, or some fresh air. I work eight hours a day, but my job allows me to adjust my brakes around the needs of the animals I’m caring for. At home, I’m able to host pets as long as they are potty trained and my husband- who has been an animal lover his whole life helps as well. We both enjoy going on daily walks together so bringing a dog along is something we truly look forward to. We also live very close to a national park and a local dog park which makes it easy to give pets plenty of outdoor time, exercise, and enrichment. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or a calm drop-in visit, pet care naturally fits into my routine every single day.

About: I have lived in Tahoe for 25 years and always had my own dog and watched over my friend's dogs throughout the years. My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer. I work from home and board my friend's dogs as well as check in and walk dogs when owners need help. I do have a number of recent references. I have worked from home for 25 years. I am very active and walk frequently. I am an early morning riser and monitor how often dogs need a walk or outside break. Pets are a part of my daily routine. My home: I have beds set up and recognize different doggy routines, ie need to go on the porch for sun, or need to go out for a break and walk. I have a section on my porch and in the laundry area for their food and water and a special area where I organize all the food, medication, leaches, doggy bags. I have a place by my couches with a large basket with balls, toys and stuffed doggy animals. I watch a number of my friend's dogs, and each has a unique and special routine and they have all come to trust me a look forward to visiting. I stay a bit at some of my friend's houses if they want me to help with house watch, plants, delivery receipt and other home needs while they are traveling and away on extended trips.

Since I don’t have much family or many friends in the area, I genuinely enjoy the companionship of animals and would love to build a bond with your pets. Spending time with them would not only keep them happy and exercised, but also keep me motivated, fulfilled, and connected throughout the week. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent, comfortable, and stress-free as possible. I make sure they are fed on schedule, get plenty of exercise through walks and playtime, and receive lots of attention, companionship, and supervision while in my care. I also pay close attention to their behavior and needs to ensure they feel safe and well cared for in their own environment. When I lived in Cameron Park, I cared for five dogs of my own and kept them all very active through daily walks, outdoor time, and structured routines. Since moving, I no longer have pets of my own due to limited space and financial stability, but my experience with multiple dogs has given me strong hands-on knowledge of managing different personalities and energy levels at once. This experience has helped me stay confident and attentive when caring for other people’s pets, and I treat every animal like they are my own while they are in my care.
