About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.

About: I'm Rachel, a writer with a flexible schedule and a love of all things canine. I live with my husband, and my chocolate Labrador retriever, Ellie, in our West Shore cabin near Homewood. I signed up for Rover because dog sitting helps me get my fix for having a doggy harem. I would love to shower your dog with attention and affection. I volunteer at the local humane society, so I'm very adept at adapting to your dog's needs. I particularly love active dogs, and I'm happy to take your pup on hikes and swims in the lake. I'm also happy to hang out and have a more relaxing day with older, less active pups. Ellie (13) is very well-socialized, and she gets along well with dogs of all sizes. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I’m always happy to go out for a walk or a hike. Ellie, my 13-year-old Lab, is always up for meeting a new dog friend. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.

About: I've had my own dogs, cats, horses and chickens. I've been pet sitting for a few years now. I try to go on as many walks as possible and even bring them to work if the family is ok with it. I love animals of all ages! I have a full-time job but I can work from home 3 days a week. So I have plenty of free time to go out for walks or simply let them outside. I will make sure they get the attention they need. If they are outside I won't leave them out after dark on their own. Lock all doors for other furry visitors. Make sure they have a comfortable bed. Sometimes sleep together if it's ok with the parents. Have lots of toys and time for walks and play.

About: I have taken care of dogs starting at 14 years old working for a doggy day care before moving on to a vet office for a few more years. Now I just dog/cat sit for friends and family. The dogs I walk usually come for any adventure with me, but if you have a senior dog that just needs a place to hang out and be loved on, that’s fine too!

About: I have taken dog training classes at the local animal shelter. I offer puppies plenty of time for teething tug-of-war and have tons of patience with the geriatric slow walkers. I work part time, close to home, which offers plenty of time for dog walking, drop ins and over night care. My hours are flexible. About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.
About: I'm Rachel, a writer with a flexible schedule and a love of all things canine. I live with my husband, and my chocolate Labrador retriever, Ellie, in our West Shore cabin near Homewood. I signed up for Rover because dog sitting helps me get my fix for having a doggy harem. I would love to shower your dog with attention and affection. I volunteer at the local humane society, so I'm very adept at adapting to your dog's needs. I particularly love active dogs, and I'm happy to take your pup on hikes and swims in the lake. I'm also happy to hang out and have a more relaxing day with older, less active pups. Ellie (13) is very well-socialized, and she gets along well with dogs of all sizes. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I’m always happy to go out for a walk or a hike. Ellie, my 13-year-old Lab, is always up for meeting a new dog friend. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.

“My family was on a short vacation and didn't realize dogs were not allowed where we stayed. I contacted Laura and she accepted my boarding request quickly and even came to picked up our pup. She sent pictures and videos throughout the day and I must say our doggy had a vacation herself! Laura took her on a beautiful walk through the snow and then another to the beach. Our pup then got to play with Laura's two dogs. I cannot recommend Laura enough and I will certainly be contacting her to watch our girl next time we vist!”
