About: Hi, I’m Julia! I’m 44 years old and originally from France, and I’d love to be your pet’s new favorite sitter 🐾 I have many years of experience caring for animals, especially dogs. My own dog lived to almost 17 years old, so I’m very familiar with everything from playful pups to senior care, including medications, special diets, and extra patience when needed. I genuinely love being outdoors and going on walks, and I always make sure each pet gets the exercise, attention, and routine they’re used to—whether that’s regular potty breaks, feeding schedules, or just lots of cuddles and companionship. I live right by the national forest, which is perfect for safe, enriching walks in nature. In addition to dogs, I also have experience with cats, fish, and pet rats, so I’m happy to care for a variety of pets. Since I work mostly from home, I’m able to provide plenty of supervision and attention throughout the day—your pet will never feel alone. I also offer in-home visits, where I can care for your pets in their own environment and help with small tasks like watering plants and keeping things in order while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I work mostly from home and have a flexible schedule. I enjoy starting and ending my day with walks, especially since I live right by the national forest, so it’s easy to give dogs fresh air and exercise in a calm, natural environment. I’m also home most of the time, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and care. For in-home visits, I’m able to adjust my schedule to match each pet’s routine and needs, whether that’s morning, midday, or evening visits. I always aim to keep pets on their usual schedule so they feel comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. I always care for pets as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved whether they are in my home or their own. In my home, pets get a calm, relaxed environment with lots of attention throughout the day since I work mostly from home. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, and any specific care instructions. Living near the national forest also allows me to provide peaceful, enriching walks in nature for dogs who enjoy being outdoors. In my clients’ homes, I make sure to respect both the pet’s routine and the home itself. I stick closely to your instructions so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. I’m attentive to details like meals, medications, exercise, and companionship, and I also make sure your home is kept tidy. I’m happy to help with small additional tasks like watering plants, bringing in mail, and keeping things in order while you’re away. My goal is always to make pets feel secure and cared for, and to give owners peace of mind knowing everything is in good hands.

About: I have 10+ years experience of pet care experience. I've fostered 15+ dogs and puppies and now have a 3yo lab mix of my own who is well-trained, spayed, and very social. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent, comfortable, and stress-free as possible. I make sure they are fed on schedule, get plenty of exercise through walks and playtime, and receive lots of attention, companionship, and supervision while in my care. I also pay close attention to their behavior and needs to ensure they feel safe and well cared for in their own environment. When I lived in Cameron Park, I cared for five dogs of my own and kept them all very active through daily walks, outdoor time, and structured routines. Since moving, I no longer have pets of my own due to limited space and financial stability, but my experience with multiple dogs has given me strong hands-on knowledge of managing different personalities and energy levels at once. This experience has helped me stay confident and attentive when caring for other people’s pets, and I treat every animal like they are my own while they are in my care.

About: I have lived in Tahoe for 25 years and always had my own dog and watched over my friend's dogs throughout the years. My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer. I work from home and board my friend's dogs as well as check in and walk dogs when owners need help. I do have a number of recent references. I have worked from home for 25 years. I am very active and walk frequently. I am an early morning riser and monitor how often dogs need a walk or outside break. Pets are a part of my daily routine. My home: I have beds set up and recognize different doggy routines, ie need to go on the porch for sun, or need to go out for a break and walk. I have a section on my porch and in the laundry area for their food and water and a special area where I organize all the food, medication, leaches, doggy bags. I have a place by my couches with a large basket with balls, toys and stuffed doggy animals. I watch a number of my friend's dogs, and each has a unique and special routine and they have all come to trust me a look forward to visiting. I stay a bit at some of my friend's houses if they want me to help with house watch, plants, delivery receipt and other home needs while they are traveling and away on extended trips.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life. Growing up my family fostered dogs and rescued abandoned pets we found on the streets of Florida, caring for them until they were healthy, safe and loved. That early experience taught me patience, compassion, and how to understand dogs of all personalities and backgrounds. Even though I work full-time, my schedule is very flexible. I’m able to step away during the day for dog walks or drop in visits which means pets in my care never have to wait long for attention, potty brakes, or some fresh air. I work eight hours a day, but my job allows me to adjust my brakes around the needs of the animals I’m caring for. At home, I’m able to host pets as long as they are potty trained and my husband- who has been an animal lover his whole life helps as well. We both enjoy going on daily walks together so bringing a dog along is something we truly look forward to. We also live very close to a national park and a local dog park which makes it easy to give pets plenty of outdoor time, exercise, and enrichment. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or a calm drop-in visit, pet care naturally fits into my routine every single day.

“Nikki was awesome. My dog had suddenly gotten sick and we were therefore unable to take her to dya care as usual. I had an important meeting that i needed to get to, and leaving my dog alone was not an option. I reached out to several people and Nikki was the only one who stepped forward to help me out. She has a great energy with dogs. My Lab usually has severe separation anxiety when left alone but with Nikki she was calm and relaxed the whole time. She was so relaxed that she didnt even know that i had cone hone right away and was just sleeping soundly.”

About: I have been caring for animals since I was 11 years old; including family, friends, neighbors and referrals. I grew up in a family that always had pets and have lived with others with pets as well. I am very comfortable and knowledgeable of animals of many ages and types. I am currently attending nursing school ~3-4 days/week and have availability in the evenings, weekends and some days to assist with pet care needs. My schedule is flexible outside of clinical hours and am excited to spend time with your animals and assist with your needs. I am available for short check-ins, walks, overnights, and weekends you are away. My ideal setting for pet care would be at a client's home due to already having one at home. I am open to caring for pets at my home once we have determined that our animals would be comfortable with one another and get along well! My house has a fenced in yard with lots of space for activity and play time for your pets. I have experience with house sitting and dog sitting concurrently whether for a few hours, few days or weeks. I am respectful, clean and responsible and follow instructions and client preferences.
