About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.

My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer. About: I’ve owned and cared for anywhere from 2-5 dogs and 2 cats at a time my entire life, most of which have been rescues of all ages, sizes, and behaviors. Additionally, I’ve volunteered at the local Humane Society with dogs and cats for around 8 years and have dog and cat watched for family and friends countless times. I’m comfortable with administering oral medication, using feline inhalers, and caring for animals from puppies and kittens to senior dogs. I am generally available every day from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, but can start earlier or end later as needed. On Mondays I am only available until 3:00 PM. Animals love me and I love them- be it hiking and exploring a lake, throwing sticks in the yard, frolicking in the snow, taking a short stroll, chasing a feather on a stick, or just kicking our feet up for a chill day. I have 3 friendly dogs and 2 cats at my home (one laid back, one spunky 1.5 year old) and a large, unfenced area in the woods where dogs can be leash walked or free roam. There are 4 litter boxes and 2 cat trees throughout the spacious multi-floor house. My own dogs are outside playing the majority of the day with water bowls and a bowl puppy pool outside or cooling down inside.

My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer.
