“This was my first time leaving my babes for an extended period of time with a dog sitter and I am thoroughly impressed with Laura! She was very nice and patient with my high maintenance pack - of 2 dogs- 1 who can be reactive, 1 with hip issues that needs additional supplements and meds , 1 foster dog also on meds, and 3 cats! She loved them as if they were her own and I don’t think they even realized we were gone with how pampered they were with her there! She even took them each dog on their own seperate walks! She sent lots of updates and was super understanding of me being a crazy furmom! The house was also so clean when we came home - which was greatly appreciated after a long day of traveling! We will definitely be using her again!! Thanks again Laura - the pups already miss you!”

“Amber was great! We used her for our three labs and cat for the better part of the day and evening. She was on time, a quick learner, and took excellent care of the boys. The dogs had lots of walks and she sent pictures of their fun together. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their fur babies.”

“Maddie was great with our dog Sophie. She kept her entertained with many walks and other outdoor activities. She sent lots of photos to keep us up to date. We came home to a very happy dog. Thanks Maddie”

“Mariah provided the best care for senior kitty, our home, and plants while we were away for vacation. It’s hard to leave our older girl who takes meds several times a day and has lots of needs, but we were at ease with her in Mariah’s care. She gave her so much love and attention, while also being very communicative and respectful of our space. Thank you Mariah!”

About: I have taken dog training classes at the local animal shelter. I offer puppies plenty of time for teething tug-of-war and have tons of patience with the geriatric slow walkers. I work part time, close to home, which offers plenty of time for dog walking, drop ins and over night care. My hours are flexible. I would keep your dog safe on a leash and have a large crate if that would help them feel secure in a different environment.

“Maxwell was an absolute pleasure. He was super prompt, communicative, sent great photos/videos of our pups while we were away, and put my mind at total ease. I would absolutely have him back to take care of our two dogs again and would recommend to anybody!”

“Jessica took great care of our pup. She clearly has a lot of knowledge and familiarity with dogs and we felt very comfortable leaving town knowing she was taking care of our 9 month old puppy. I wholeheartedly recommend her!”

About: I have an almost 3 year old White Swiss Shepherd dog who is very social and wants to come on walks with your dog! I love dogs and nothing makes me happier than getting social time for mine. I personally trained my dog to do many charming tricks (like play dead!) and would love to help teach yours too! My dog is great with other dogs of all sizes including puppies as long as they are not aggressive. I work part time and remotely so am flexible for last minute bookings. I’m often out on walks with my own dog and would love to take yours out with us. My dog loves to get a lot of exercise and I’m happy to give your high energy dog a lot of play and walk time with mine! I will come to your neighborhood or house where it’s most convenient to watch or walk your dog. My dog is very well behaved and social with other dogs.

“Alicia was fantastic!! She checked in frequently, sent a ton of photos and videos and the boys were super happy spending time with her. She left our home clean and tidy and was an all around delight!! We can't wait to have her watch the boys again!”

About: I grew up in Tahoe and love all the wildlife and nature! My grandparents founded one of Oregon’s first canine-crisis-response therapy dog organizations, inspiring my lifelong passion for animals. I’ve raised two Portuguese water dogs and a cat named Merlin. I’ve volunteered at shelters, and studied the human-canine bond in college. Now I’m preparing for med school so I’m looking to help support myself by combining my passion for animals and care! Animals have always been a part of my life that brings me peace and contentment. Being able to care for animals brings me happiness while I study for the MCAT and save money to support myself through med school. I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and have cared for a wide range of temperaments. I take time to understand each dog’s unique personality and needs, adjusting my approach accordingly. Whether a dog needs gentle encouragement, extra training, or space and patience, I can adapt quickly to meet their needs. I always listen closely to the owner’s preferences and concerns, making sure my care aligns with their routines, boundaries, and goals. I understand how hard it can be to be away from your pet and I’m here to help!
About: I have had dogs in my life since I can remember. Growing up around dogs has been a wonderful gift. I am experienced in dog walking, feeding, bathing and playing with all types of dogs! I work from home so have flexibility to walk and play with dogs in the morning, during breaks, and at the end of the work day. I am also available weekends. I have a great private fenced in back yard that is great for playing, pet relief and enjoing the sun! I also am very responsible as a dog owner myself.

About: I grew up in Tahoe and I love the outdoors! Bringing dogs for walks in nature and seeing them free and happy makes me happy. My family has always loved animals, especially dogs. We've always had a dog at home for as long as I can remember, and they've brought us so much joy and happiness. Growing up i've cared for dogs, hamsters, Guinea pigs and a bunny. I've experienced caring for many different pets and I understand there unique personalities and needs. With me you can trust that your pet will be in good hands and get all the attention and happiness that they deserve! I'm currently taking classes at Cuesta college so the best time for me to care for your pet is Friday-Sunday or on Monday's and Wednesdays. Count on me to provide a range of dedicated services for your pets. From invigorating walks to ensure they get their exercise and fresh air, to ensuring they're well-fed and content, I've got all aspects of their care covered. Your pets will not only receive the essentials but also enjoy moments of companionship and attention that will make their time with me enjoyable and fulfilling.

About: I’m the go-to pet sitter (aka auntie) for friends when they leave town because they know that while they’re on their trip, instead of feeling guilty for leaving, they can trust their pets will be having too much fun with me to miss them too much. I’m the kind of pet-sitter that will let your beloved dog or cat cuddle me every night, make them sweet potato and peanut butter treats, and take the few minutes to practice tricks and develop training at the beginning of every walk to build trust, rapport, and skills. I love getting to see each pet’s quirks come out as we get to know eachother, and have fallen in love with every pet I’ve had the privilege of hanging out with, from older curmudgeons to mischievous rescues. I work from home and love to be active, so I’ll leave the doors open and be around for daytime company, cuddle breaks on the couch, toy time, and escaping to the beach or mountains to explore the wild together once I'm off the clock. I have a fenced backyard and often leave the studio door open during the day so dogs can easily go out to pee as needed, in a secure enclosure. I can only accept 2 dogs at a time for boarding/day care, so you can rest assured your sweet pup is getting lots of care and attention! I value building trust with pets over time, and see each new character as beloved member of a family that deserves to be given the space, love, and respect to thrive in their unique self-expression. I receive ongoing education in collaborative, trust-based training and communication techniques, and am skillful at using them instead of harsh, dominance-based techniques (while still remaining the firm leader and maintaining safety and order).

Olivia P.

“Great sitter. Will use again”

Ingrid G.

“Ingrid watched our dog Minnie for us while we were out of town. Minnie was very happy and well cared for, highly recommend!”

Alexander F.
“Alex has been an animal lover ever since he was old enough to be aware of them. From the time he was a young child and introduced to our dogs and cats, he treated them with unusual care and affection. As an older child, when his family finally got their own dog, Stormy, a Portuguese Water Dog, he not only helped his parents with taking care of her with feeding, walks, etc., he also was very involved in training her. When he was in high school, he volunteered for the Lake Tahoe Humane Society to care for their shelter animals. Alex, now a recent graduate from college with honors, is an extremely responsible, kind, trustworthy young man who with his prior experience and ongoing enthusiasm for nurturing his and others' pets, would be great at dog or cat-sitting.”
Holly O.
“Holly is great with dogs. Holly has babysat and house Sat with my Brittany Spaniel. My Brittany is 2yrs now and still as you know a torpedo that needs constant mental and physical stimulation. Holly knows the difference and gives both. Well educated and doing it because she loves dogs but not in the way that makes you uneasy. She is present and well spoken and talks to the dogs like a teacher talks to an honors student. Her irish roots and growing up around farm animals makes her attentive but stern. Like the Bird Lady in Home Alone 2. She’s compassionate but nobodies fool.”
