Rochelle is the best dog walker I’ve come across on Rover. She is responsible, quick to respond to messaging, and spends extra time with my pup. If I could give her more than five stars, I would. Highly recommend.

About: Growing up, I've helped train and take care of 2 cats, 5 dogs, and at one point 9 puppies. I can speak Spanish at a conversational level. And I probably will enjoy playing and going on walks just as much as the pet will. I am currently in college as a full time student. This year I have a large break Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays in the middle of my day. When at home I help with feeding, training, and teaching my families 4 dogs In my home I am ok with pets sleeping in the same bed with me and I try to train them without loud commands, but rather visual and quick quite commands. I can allow as much or as little as someone wants as far as rules with a pet.

About: I have been caring for loved ones' pets since I was quite young. I am an animal lover who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. Can't wait to make new furry friends! I'm currently working part-time, so I will have plenty of time to take care of your pets on Tuesdays and Thursdays while you're at work! I would also love to check in on them over the weekend when needed. I am very used to taking dogs for a walk and/or out to the bathroom as I have done it for my own dog, Annie, for the last 13 years. I am familiar caring for both crate-trained and free roaming animals!

About: I am a 20-year-old animal lover currently attending Penn State and looking to build a base of regular pet-sitting clients! I have over 6 years of pet-sitting experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. My passion for animals started at a young age, and beginning at 13, I regularly walked dogs for several neighbors. Through pet sitting, I have gained experience with animals of all sizes and personalities, from energetic puppies to horses and farm animals. I am dedicated to providing reliable, attentive care and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I would love to become a trusted, familiar sitter for local families and their pets! 🐾 As a Penn State World Campus student living on campus, I have a very flexible schedule and am available for pet care throughout the week. I also have my own car, making it easy for me to travel to nearby homes for walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care. My flexible class schedule allows me to work around each pet’s individual needs, whether that means morning visits, midday check-ins, evening care, or regular walks. I am reliable, responsible, and happy to work with pet owners to create a schedule that works best for them and their pets! 🐾 I also have a friendly bulldog who loves meeting new people and dogs. If your dog enjoys socializing and you’re comfortable with it, I can bring her along for company during visits. Of course, your pet’s comfort and preferences always come first, and I will only do this with your permission.

About: I’m a Penn State student, formerly an Animal Science major and now a third-year studying Psychology. I previously volunteered at PAW Pets Shelter, where I gained hands-on experience caring for and interacting with dogs of different temperaments and needs. I’m very patient when it comes to pet care, and I enjoy teaching and guiding pets step by step so they can feel comfortable, confident, and safe. I also have a toy poodle back home, so I understand the responsibility and attention that goes into caring for a dog every day. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. As a Penn State student, my schedule is very flexible, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. I enjoy spending time with pets in the afternoon, taking them on walks in the evening and every morning, and making sure they get the attention and care they need throughout the day. I truly love spending time with animals and try to make the most of every moment I have with them. I care for pets in my home by providing a safe and comfortable environment with plenty of space for them to move around. My home has three floors, giving pets room to walk, explore, and stay active throughout the day. I also make sure they have a quiet bedroom space where they can rest comfortably. My goal is to create a safe, calm, and welcoming environment where pets feel relaxed and well cared for.

About: I have been taking care of dogs most of my life whether it be the 2 dogs that have been part of my family or taking care of neighbors dogs when they are out of town. I currently work part time so my schedule for pet care is very flexible and I would be available at most hours of the day. I have experience taking care of older dogs who just need someone to hang out with and I’ve taken care of younger hyper dogs that warrant extra attention. I am comfortable walking dogs on and off leash and crating them if need be.

About: Hi! I’m a college student at Penn state university with 4–5 years of experience caring for pets. Friends and family have trusted me to feed, bathe, walk, and love their animals like my own. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with all kinds of pets. Thank you for considering me to care for your amazing companion! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I plan my days around my availability and make sure I have enough time to give each pet the attention, care, and playtime they need. Whether it's feeding, grooming, or just keeping a cat company, I treat it like a priority not a side task. I also stay flexible so I can adjust to each pet’s unique routine and needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize creating a calm and familiar environment by following the pet’s routine as closely as possible. I pay close attention to body language and other cues to understand how the pet is feeling, and I give them the space or affection they need based on their comfort level. I know that trust takes time, especially with animals, and I’m always patient, gentle, and respectful of their boundaries. My goal is to make each pet feel safe, seen, and cared for while their family is away.

I reached out to Michele and Rob weeks before I adopted my puppy. Generally my neighbor lets out my puppy 1 day a week and I was a little apprehensive about finding strangers who could help me when I have a king work day and my neighbor isn't available From the get go Michele has been and engaging and prompt communicator. She is excited to meet new people and dogs and develops an easy rapport with them. For the meet and greet she asked great questions before she and Rob arrived on how to best greet my dogs and if there was anything they should know when they approach me, the dogs and my home. I have German Shepherds. My dogs warmed up to both of them quickly. They showed up on time and seemed genuinely interested in the dogs and me. Rob walked my puppy yesterday and sent a nice summary and pictures as well as their walking route. I'm excited to have them as part of my team! They work well as a team and enjoy dogs and walking.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your State College. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
