About: Hello! Thanks for considering me to look after your furry loved one. :) I've been a cat owner for most of my life and also have experience with all kinds of dogs through previous pet-sitting. I'm also accustomed to caring for kittens and pets with special dietary and/or medication needs. I have two cats of my own, Suki and Dimitri, who mean more to me than anything! As an educator in my daily life, I take communication very seriously--I also know that when I go out of town, my babies are always on my mind! That's why when I look after pets, I am sure to provide frequent updates and pictures so that you can feel confident that your pets are doing well. I am a PhD student working on my dissertation, which means my schedule is incredibly flexible and I can easily work with your availability to find times that work for everyone! As a guest to your home, I will carefully respect your pets' space and boundaries to make them feel as safe as possible. Creating a relationship of trust, both with you as a client and with your pet, is extremely important to me.
“Hannah was very responsive and did a great job with my high-energy doodle. She offered to help when she saw my dog had a red ear, administering medicine and cleaning her ear, and she balanced walks with play really well! Would definitely recommend Hannah 😊”

“I am traveling and had to leave Zeus, my 100lbs AmStaff with my mom and sister. Brigette was available short notice and she was punctual and communicative. She was not only comfortable and confident with my big strong boy, but she took my mom and sister along to teach them how to handle him. They had never walked a dog before this week and they say they can now walk him with confidence. her help was absolutely invaluable! She is incredible! I simply cannot speak highly enough of her. If i ever need any help with Zeus again. she is the one!”

“Great sitter — flexible, dependable, and wonderful with Dennis. She helped with a walk yesterday and stayed extra today when I was late. Dennis loved her. Highly recommend and will definitely use her again.”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
