About: I've loved animals of all kinds ever since I can remember and have always had pets while growing up and since, including dogs, cats, parakeets, turtles, rabbits and fish. I can't imagine not having animals as part of my family. We currently have a dog and six cats. My dog, who is part Jack Russel Terrier, was a puppy when we adopted him, so it was necessary to house-train him, which I was able to accomplish in just a couple of weeks. I don't know if it was my technique or just that he was very smart! I recently retired from full-time work and can devote lots of time to my dog & cats. I try to stick to a routine, though, similar to the one I had when I had a job: scooping the litter boxes in the morning & evening and feeding twice a day. My dog was recently diagnosed with diabetes so he requires an insulin injection after each meal, which needs to be very consistently timed. My dog has never been the type to want to run off on his own. We live in the country far back from the road but, because he won't even go outside unless I go with him, a fence or restraint isn't needed. However, I have lived in cities where having dogs on a leash was necessary so I have experience with that - having walked 3 dogs at once at times in the past. I would never let someone else's dog outside without a leash, tie-out, or fenced in yard. My cats stay indoors to keep them, as well as, the birds and other wildlife safe but, if a client's cat is allowed outdoors, I will do as they wish.

About: I have grown up with dogs since I was born! I currently have two 80lbs dogs, Layla and Luna, and they are my best friends. I have watched my friend’s and neighbors dogs since I was 16 years old. I currently volunteer at PAWS, a local animal shelter. I am familiar with big and small dogs along with those with more specific needs. I currently work full time, 8AM-5PM M-F. However, I am remote Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and have a lunch break from 1-2pm. I can let your pup(s) out morning, afternoon, early evening, and night, along with more times if needed! I don’t have a fence in my yard but I have long leashes attached to my deck posts. Please provide me with more information about your pup and circumstances if you are looking to board!

About: I’ve always been a dog family, growing up with always 2 dogs or more in my family households. When I was 20, I adopted my soul dog Dusty, who was extremely dog reactive. He showed me a lot of how to deal with reactive dogs, especially on walks and dealing with strangers who may not get that their dog may be friendly, but yours may need that extra space to be comfortable. I now also own two cats, adopted from the local shelter Paws and they have become my life. They are very clingy but also shy towards strangers. So I also very understand if you own some shy cats, I would love them just the same! I currently live all year in State College, work full time but still have plenty of time for my cats and still have more time for others. Just let me know 24 hours ahead or more and it can happen! I am fully comfortable crating all kinds of dogs, walking any breed, or dealing with any shy temperamental cat. I really love animals with all my heart, and you have my word when you’re not home- you don’t need to worry about your furry loved one back home.

About: Hi! My name is Katie! I am a student at Penn State and a lover of all creatures, large and small! I have had family dogs throughout my childhood. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, breeds with longer coats, and both large and small breeds. I also have experience with handling rescues of various sizes with different triggers. I also have grown up with cats and have experience with all ages and sizes too! Additionally, I have experience with caring for pet rabbits. I have had several over the years. **I do not have experience with disabled or dogs with special needs, however I am willing to learn and accommodate whenever necessary! I am currently working part-time and am a part-time student at Penn State (student status subject to change). I will have plenty of time to tend to your fur babies! I cannot provide boarding services at this time, so all my pet care services will be at or around your home. I can walk the dogs, play with them, make sure they are properly fed and watered, and take them outside regularly.

About: I’m a Penn State student, formerly an Animal Science major and now a third-year studying Psychology. I previously volunteered at PAW Pets Shelter, where I gained hands-on experience caring for and interacting with dogs of different temperaments and needs. About: I've had pets in my life since I was a child - dogs, cats, rabbits, and rats! I currently have one large dog (German Shepherd mix) and a cat. I'm comfortable caring for all sizes and types of dogs, any cats, or other small animals. About: Ever since we adopted my dog in 2019, I have been obsessed with caring for animals. I have taken my dog on at least 100 walks in his lifetime so far, and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon! Additionally, I have been requested by multiple neighbors and friends to dog sit and cat sit for them. I have been dog sitting and catsitting for the same people for about 4 years now, so I would say I have a lot of experience!! I currently work part time at Kohls, so my schedule is a little all over the place. However, I am willing to set a strict availability in order to balance both jobs. Ideally, I can work during the week, but if weekends are needed, I can make some changes. I am very much a rule follower when it comes to watching pets in a clients home. I try to stay by the animals as much as possible to make sure they aren’t getting up to anything, while also staying in the common areas to respect my clients home. I love playing with the animals and giving tons of pets, so don’t worry about your pets being bored!

About: As an incoming 1st year vet student, I have devoted over 8000 hours to veterinary medicine. This has given me experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes, including young puppies, senior dogs, fractious cats, and medically complex pets. Additionally, I am a dog foster and have recovered medically complex pups from intense surgeries/traumas. Given those experiences, I am comfortable administering medications both orally and injectables, as well as recognizing signs and symptoms of illness. As well, I have a behaviorally complex German Shepherd of my own, and feel comfortable recognizing and avoiding triggers, or safely deescalating situations if they arise. I currently work at an emergency vet with varying shifts, including some overnights, weekends, and evenings. This also means I have many days I can spent my time exclusively with your pets to get some energy out during the daylight! I welcome the opportunity to discuss my schedule during your trip specifically! After a lifetime in veterinary medicine & kennel assistant responsibilities, I’ve learned the ins and outs of pet safety, especially with behaviorally complex pets. I am happy to work with each pet specifically to cater to where they feel best- whether that be crated, on the couch beside me, or anywhere in between!

About: I have worked in an animal shelter for almost 7 years. I was the kennel manager, I did the daily cleaning and walking of the dogs and cats and have experience in medicating them. I'm currently not working so I have a pretty flexible schedule, any time and days of the week work well for me. please feel free to ask me any questions I have tons of experience and know a lot about handling and caring for animals. About: I have taken care of dogs from puppies all the way to 13 years old. I treat each pet individually with care and care for them like they are my own! I’ve been able to look after pets for neighbors, friends and family! I have a really flexible job that has given me the chance to live anywhere, especially in the summer. I am able to work from home and take care of your pet! I can crate your pet, give them treats, walk/run with them, feed and teach them basic commands or just be their cuddle buddy to keep them company while you are away.
