About: I have been a volunteer foster at Centre County Paws for 8 years. I have fostered 8 week old puppies to 13 year old senior dogs. I have seen it all: separation anxiety, severe malnutrition, high energy, resource guarding, dog aggression, etc. Your dogs are my top priority and I want to keep their routines consistent as possible. I am an on-campus student at University of Pittsburgh with an accessible car. My last class on Fridays ends at 12, so my weekends and Fridays are mostly open for overnight stays. I am flexible for dog walking in mornings, evenings, and some afternoons during the week. I have finicky dogs, so I understand providing for a dog with specific needs. I can jog, play fetch, snuggle, and any type of quality time your dog needs. I will spend lots of time with your cats, cuddling and playing with toys are my favorite activities!

About: My name is Elisa S., I generally go by Lis, & I use they/them pronouns! I have volunteered at Centre County PAWS since April 2018, in September 2019 I was offered a job & was the first minor to be employed with PAWS! I recently started fostering cats & kittens. My first foster was a lovely kitten who had recently had her leg amputated. I am very experienced in giving all types of meds (pill, eye, ear, wound care, & more). And I of course have 3 fur-babies of my own (Nora, Emmitt, & Ellie), a 40 gal fist tank with 10 fish, as well as a 10 gallon fish tank with 2 aquatic frogs. I also have some experience in caring for reptiles! I am currently working at Centre County PAWS as a Kennel assistant, I always work on Mondays & Tuesdays from 4-7. But am currently working a flexible mid-day shift every day. I am available for your pets almost anytime, any day! Due to my fur-babies, 2 fish tanks, & fosters, I currently will not be offering care in my home. When I care for your animals, I will listen to you and your pets wants & needs. I understand that every pet owner cares for their pets differently & will respect the way you do so!

About: I've had pets in my life since I was a child - dogs, cats, rabbits, and rats! I currently have one large dog (German Shepherd mix) and a cat. I'm comfortable caring for all sizes and types of dogs, any cats, or other small animals. I've worked with a trainer for my own dog for reactivity, and have experience walking and taking care of large dogs. I work full time during the week and am available for morning/evening visits and weekends visits or walks. I will give your fur babies the same love and care I give to mine, they are family! About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a child. I've owned dogs all my adult life. I currently have 2 dogs, Layla is 1/2 boarder collie and 1/2 golden retriever and Luna is 1/2 golden retriever and 1/2 black lab. About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and currently have two lovable 80-pound dogs, Layla and Luna. Since I was 15, I’ve cared for pets for friends, family, and neighbors, working with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I also volunteered at PAWS, where I gained experience caring for dogs with a variety of needs. I’m passionate about animals and dedicated to making sure every pet feels comfortable, cared for, and loved while their owner is away. I currently work full time, 8AM-5PM M-F. However, I work a hybrid schedule and have a lunch break from 1-2pm. I can let your pup(s) out morning, afternoon, early evening, and night, along with more times if needed! I don’t have a fence in my yard but I have long leashes attached to my deck posts. Please provide me with more information about your pup and circumstances if you are looking to board!

About: Ive been around pets my whole life. For as long as I can remember I’ve had dogs in my home. My family is also a rescue family so I’m very confident with many breeds and ages. We also adopt a lot of senior dogs so I’m very confident in senior care. Can’t wait to spoil your pet! I currently work part time at Plato’s Closet State College where I am a seasonal supervisor. I either work 9-5 or 1-9 but my schedule depends week to week. Reach out and we’ll figure that schedule out! Safety is very important to me. I always will monitor animals when they are outside and make sure to use proper harnesses for walks. I do not offer pets to stay in my home. When I’m home from the summer we have a very full house of animals already!

About: I’m a Penn State student, formerly an Animal Science major and now a third-year studying Psychology. I previously volunteered at PAW Pets Shelter, where I gained hands-on experience caring for and interacting with dogs of different temperaments and needs. I’m very patient when it comes to pet care, and I enjoy teaching and guiding pets step by step so they can feel comfortable, confident, and safe. I also have a toy poodle back home, so I understand the responsibility and attention that goes into caring for a dog every day. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. As a Penn State student, my schedule is very flexible, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. I enjoy spending time with pets in the afternoon, taking them on walks in the evening and every morning, and making sure they get the attention and care they need throughout the day. I truly love spending time with animals and try to make the most of every moment I have with them. I care for pets in my home by providing a safe and comfortable environment with plenty of space for them to move around. My home has three floors, giving pets room to walk, explore, and stay active throughout the day. I also make sure they have a quiet bedroom space where they can rest comfortably. About: As a child, my family had a Maltese since he was a puppy and he lived until the age of 15 years old. His life expectancy was around 7 years old, so he was a senior dog. I learned how to take care of my dog at a young age and was responsible for taking care of him. Now, my parents and I have a puppy named Shylo Esch. He is a mix of Bernese mountain dog and mini poodle. I have attended puppy class with him at Manners N' More in Bellefonte, PA. I also frequently walk my family friend's dog who is a Labrador retriever. I grew up around dogs and learning to and caring for them, I have a deep love for taking care of dogs. I am currently job searching and am working to enroll back at Penn State in the fall full time. I usually have appointments scheduled throughout the week and plans with friends/family whenever we have time. When considering booking dog care, I make sure I have the availability for your pup(s) and communicate with you about it. My baby dog, Shylo Esch, has been spoiled by my parents with many toys and treats. He is treat motivated from his puppy training, leashed for outdoor walks and goes in his crate when nobody is home. I hold myself to a strong work ethic when caring for dogs by creating a disciplined yet empathetic stance when caring for fur babies or elderly dogs. In my clients home, I closely follow the rules and duties of the care they require to care for their dogs. I set up a meet n' greet with the dog and owner before committing. I like to meet the dog beforehand to see if we are a good fit by interacting, playing with or taking them on a walk with the owner around their usual route in order to gauge their temperament and comfortability with me. I ask various questions about how the owner takes care of the dog, so I can best follow their lead. I ask about daily routine activities, food schedule, treat frequency, walking time, habits, likes, dislikes, etc. I prefer to follow the daily routine and activities that the dog is used to in order to keep them on track while their owner is away.

About: First and foremost, I’m an animal lover and love spending time with my own and other pets! I am a licensed mental health therapist who works from home so I have a lot of flexibility in my daily schedule for drop-ins and walks. I have experience working in veterinary medicine as a veterinary social worker. I deeply appreciate pets as members of our family and believe in the extraordinary power of the human-animal bond. My own pets include a 3 year old Akita mix who I got when she was only 8 weeks old so I’m well versed in puppy training, especially with stubborn dogs. Similarly, I have experience with reactive dogs. I also have two cats - Sprout, 10 and Binky, 7. I think cats are misunderstood and love building relationships with each unique cat personality I meet! I work from home and have a lot of flexibility for morning, mid-day, or evening drop-ins and walks. My schedule changes every day. I have experience with reactive dogs and am a pro at avoiding other pets on walks. Safety is always front of mind so I will always keep a watchful eye to make sure they don’t get into anything they shouldn’t.
