About: I’m a reliable and caring pet sitter with hands-on experience looking after a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and small pets. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, administering basic medications, walking, playtime, and providing plenty of attention to keep pets happy and stress-free while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has unique needs and personalities, so I take the time to follow instructions carefully and build trust with both pets and owners. My goal is to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine since I work remotely from home and have a flexible schedule. Being home throughout the day allows me to provide consistent attention, regular potty breaks, feeding, and companionship without long gaps in supervision. I’m able to easily adjust my work hours to accommodate walks, playtime, and any specific care needs, including medications or special routines. On a weekly basis, my flexibility also allows me to take on longer visits, overnight stays, or last-minute bookings, ensuring pets receive reliable and attentive care whenever needed. I prioritize following each pet’s routine and any specific instructions to ensure their well-being and reduce stress. I take time to build trust with pets through patience, gentle handling, and consistent care, helping them feel secure while their owners are away. I also maintain a clean, safe environment by monitoring surroundings, preventing potential hazards, and ensuring pets are always supervised appropriately. My goal is to create a calm, reliable space where pets feel at ease and owners can feel confident their animals are in good hands.

About: I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and have always had a dog growing up, so caring for pups has always come naturally to me! 🐾 Over the past 10+ years, I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. Along with helping friends, family, and neighbors, I’ve also gained even more experience through our local Facebook community by caring for pets for families in the area. I truly love getting to know each dog’s unique personality! Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, belly rubs, or just curling up for cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family because I know how much they mean to you. Have more than one pup? No problem! My spouse is also available to help during overnight stays, so there’s always an extra set of hands to make sure each dog gets plenty of love and attention. We’re both Penn State students, which gives us lots of flexibility with our schedules and boarding in our home. That means more playtime, walks, potty breaks, cuddles, and one-on-one attention throughout the day! I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in loving hands! 💕🐶 I’m currently a college student and work part-time as a babysitter, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets. Being a babysitter has taught me responsibility, patience, and the importance of providing dependable care. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, overnight care, or boarding, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and love while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully follow any instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and house rules. I take the time to build trust with every pet and make sure they feel comfortable in my care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away, knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: I am an Animal Science student at Penn State with experience working with a variety of animals. I was born and raised on a farm and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and livestock. I am comfortable with feeding, exercising, monitoring behavior, and keeping animals on their normal routines. I’m responsible, dependable, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, and I’m committed to providing patient, attentive, and loving care while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and well-being will always be my top priority! I currently have class in the mornings, so I’m available most weekdays after 12/1pm depending on the day. My availability on weekends can vary as i do travel home to help out with the family farm, but I am more than willing to work with clients and make accommodations! When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping them comfortable and maintaining their normal routine. I’ll follow their usual feeding, exercise, medication, and bathroom schedules and make sure they receive plenty of attention and playtime. I’ll also keep their space clean and tidy and give them lots of love and companionship while you’re away. I understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable in their own home, and I’ll treat both your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would my own.

About: Hi there! I'm Emma, and I've had a passion for working with animals for over a decade. I've grown up around and helped raise dogs and cats my whole life, but my real experience with dogs and pet sitting began in 2015 during my undergraduate years, when I worked at an indoor dog daycare for three years caring for a wide range of breeds, ages, and temperaments for up to six hours a day. That role gave me a strong foundation in reading dog behavior, managing group dynamics, and ensuring every pup felt safe and comfortable. Alongside my daycare work, I built a steady base of 2–3 private clients throughout both my undergraduate and graduate careers, providing regular dog and cat sitting on a more personal, one-on-one basis. I genuinely love getting to know each pet's unique personality and routine. My experience includes working with pets of all ages and breeds, those with anxiety or separation issues, and animals that require medication to be administered. Whether your pet needs lots of reassurance or just a calm, reliable presence, I'm here to make sure they're happy and well cared for while you're away! I'm currently in my third year of my PhD program at Penn State, and since I'm no longer taking classes, my schedule is much more flexible than it used to be. Most of my days are spent reading and writing from my laptop, which honestly makes me an ideal pet sitter, I'm home, I'm calm, and I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve. This means I can easily build my day around your pet's existing routine, whether that's morning walks, midday playtime, or afternoon naps on the couch next to me. I find that having a furry companion around actually makes those long work sessions much more enjoyable for both of us! I'm fully available for walks, overnight stays, and everything in between, and I'm always happy to follow whatever schedule works best for your pet. Whether I'm caring for your cat(s), dog(s), or both, my approach is the same: attentive, consistent, and tailored to your pet's individual needs. I'm naturally detail-oriented, and that really comes through in how I care for animals, I pay close attention to their behaviors, moods, and routines to make sure their day-to-day feels as normal as possible while you're away. My time working at an indoor dog daycare gave me hands-on training in dog safety, behavior, and best practices for creating a calm, secure environment, experience I carry into every sitting job. I know that a settled, predictable routine can make a big difference for pets, especially those that are sensitive to change or prone to anxiety, so I always make it a priority to follow your pet's existing schedule as closely as possible. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and at ease, and for you to feel confident that they're in good hands.

About: Hi! I’m a college student at Penn state university with 4–5 years of experience caring for pets. Friends and family have trusted me to feed, bathe, walk, and love their animals like my own. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with all kinds of pets. Thank you for considering me to care for your amazing companion! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I plan my days around my availability and make sure I have enough time to give each pet the attention, care, and playtime they need. Whether it's feeding, grooming, or just keeping a cat company, I treat it like a priority not a side task. I also stay flexible so I can adjust to each pet’s unique routine and needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize creating a calm and familiar environment by following the pet’s routine as closely as possible. I pay close attention to body language and other cues to understand how the pet is feeling, and I give them the space or affection they need based on their comfort level. I know that trust takes time, especially with animals, and I’m always patient, gentle, and respectful of their boundaries. My goal is to make each pet feel safe, seen, and cared for while their family is away.

About: Growing up my family had a miniature schnauzer and we were lucky enough to have her in our lives for 18 years! I would walk her every day, administer tick and flea medicine, teach her tricks, make eating her food fun as she got older, took her to the groomer, and of course gave her lots of attention and playtime. I've also walked a handful of my friends' dogs before either just around the block or for a few miles depending on much exercise they need. I'm also familiar with drop in visits to feed dogs dinner or let them out to run around in the yard. Right now I work part time so I have some availability during the work week, as well as the weekends. I'd be happy to come walk your dog before work, let your dog out (and or walk them) around lunch time, feed your dog or cat breakfast, lunch or dinner, as well as just spending time playing with your pets and making sure they are getting the attention they need when you are away. When I am in your home I will be diligent to make sure I am providing your pet the care that you have asked for. I like to know what is expected of me to make sure I provide quality care so I may ask some questions to ensure I am successful!

About: I stand out because of my lifelong experience growing up with animals of all kinds, including horses, cats, rabbits, and hamsters. I also worked at a pet hotel, where I cared for puppies and anxious dogs who missed their families, so I understand how to keep pets calm, comfortable, and happy. I’m patient, attentive, and experienced with different temperaments and needs. I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters, giving me even more hands-on experience with a wide range of animals. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily schedule because I’m currently a Student at Penn state University and my classes end at 3:00 pm everyday so anytime after 3 I am usually aviable! I provide care through in-home visits, as I do not host pets in my own home due to my cat not being comfortable around new animals. In my clients’ homes, I focus on keeping pets in their familiar environment and routine to reduce stress. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of attention, playtime, and any needed exercise. I’m also very attentive to their behavior and comfort, especially for shy or anxious pets, and always make sure they feel safe, calm, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: As a child, my family had a Maltese since he was a puppy and he lived until the age of 15 years old. His life expectancy was around 7 years old, so he was a senior dog. I learned how to take care of my dog at a young age and was responsible for taking care of him. Now, my parents and I have a puppy named Shylo Esch. He is a mix of Bernese mountain dog and mini poodle. I have attended puppy class with him at Manners N' More in Bellefonte, PA. I also frequently walk my family friend's dog who is a Labrador retriever. I grew up around dogs and learning to and caring for them, I have a deep love for taking care of dogs. I work a part time job throughout the week. I usually have a few appointments scheduled each week and make plans with friends/family whenever we have time. When considering booking dog care, I make sure I have the availability for your pup(s) and communicate with you about it. My baby dog, Shylo Esch, has been spoiled by my parents with many toys and treats. He is treat motivated from his puppy training, leashed for outdoor walks and goes in his crate when nobody is home. I hold myself to a strong work ethic when caring for dogs by creating a disciplined yet empathetic stance when caring for fur babies or elderly dogs. In my clients home, I closely follow the rules and duties of the care they require to care for their dogs. I set up a meet n' greet with the dog and owner before committing. I like to meet the dog beforehand to see if we are a good fit by interacting, playing with or taking them on a walk with the owner around their usual route in order to gauge their temperament and comfortability with me. I ask various questions about how the owner takes care of the dog, so I can best follow their lead. I ask about daily routine activities, food schedule, treat frequency, walking time, habits, likes, dislikes, etc. I prefer to follow the daily routine and activities that the dog is used to in order to keep them on track while their owner is away. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
