About: I have 20+ years of experience caring for animals, including cats, dogs, and even three pet mice! I’ve cared for my own pets as well as friends’ and family members’ pets over the years, so I’m comfortable with animals of all different personalities and needs. I currently have two cats of my own, one of whom has medical needs, and I’d love to give your pets the same love, attention, and care I give my own. I work part-time, so I have plenty of flexibility to give your pets the time and attention they need, especially in the mornings and evenings. I’m also happy to help on weekends or care for your pets for multiple days in a row! I would treat your pets like my own, with the same love and care my boys receive! Whether you have a quiet kitty, a spicy kitty, a playful pup, or a dog who just wants some extra company, I’d be happy to help. About: As a child, my family had a Maltese since he was a puppy and he lived until the age of 15 years old. His life expectancy was around 7 years old, so he was a senior dog. I learned how to take care of my dog at a young age and was responsible for taking care of him. Now, my parents and I have a puppy named Shylo Esch. He is a mix of Bernese mountain dog and mini poodle. I have attended puppy class with him at Manners N' More in Bellefonte, PA. I also frequently walk my family friend's dog who is a Labrador retriever. I grew up around dogs and learning to and caring for them, I have a deep love for taking care of dogs. I work a part-time job throughout the week, with an open availability of being scheduled (shifts can range between 5:30 am-midnight) of anywhere between 20-35 hours. Dog sitting is my happy & rewarding "side hustle". 😁 I usually have a few appointments scheduled every other week and make plans with friends/family whenever we have time. My calendar is left open as my work schedule is variable. I only block out days I will be traveling out of town. When considering booking dog care, I make sure I have the availability for your pup(s) and communicate with you about it. My baby dog, Shylo Esch, has been spoiled by my parents with many toys and treats. He is treat motivated from his puppy training, leashed for outdoor walks and goes in his crate when nobody is home. I hold myself to a strong work ethic when caring for dogs by creating a disciplined yet empathetic stance when caring for fur babies or elderly dogs. In my clients home, I closely follow the rules and duties of the care they require to care for their dogs. I set up a meet n' greet with the dog and owner before committing. I like to meet the dog beforehand to see if we are a good fit by interacting, playing with or taking them on a walk with the owner around their usual route in order to gauge their temperament and comfortability with me. I ask various questions about how the owner takes care of the dog, so I can best follow their lead. I ask about daily routine activities, food schedule, treat frequency, walking time, habits, likes, dislikes, etc. I prefer to follow the daily routine and activities that the dog is used to in order to keep them on track while their owner is away. (**The app takes 20% from my pay so what's advertised is not what I get paid out**)

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a child. I've owned dogs all my adult life. I currently have 2 dogs, Layla is 1/2 boarder collie and 1/2 golden retriever and Luna is 1/2 golden retriever and 1/2 black lab. “As others here are saying, Ruth was *really* great--my somewhat shy, standoffish cat quickly and visibly warmed to her (she had a very gentle, low-key way of introducing herself to him). It was a relief to have her checking in on him. As to logistics: she was extremely quick and precise in answering messages, and very patient and flexible with the multiple times I had to tweak my booking request (because of unforeseen travel changes on my end). The kitchen was cleaner than when I left, and Ruth also went out of the way to bring trash and recycling containers off the street, something I hadn't asked her to do but appreciate. As to keeping this skeptical little cat company: she was very perceptive; I would genuinely trust her if there were an emergency of basically any kind. She put him at ease and got him to eat (something he sometimes is reluctant to do when stressed); she must have been a very reassuring presence. I also appreciate her detailed messages and several photos in which he's rolling on his back looking fairly pleased by things. When I got back this morning he seemed in much better spirits than he normally does after I have to travel. Thank you Ruth!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals, primarily dogs, since I was a little girl, around age 5. I was raised with coonhounds and a beagle and enjoyed helping to feed and bath our coonhounds. I would show our coonhounds in dog shows and I had no issues handling a bigger breed. My beagle was my house dog and best friend and went everywhere with me. I am currently a dog mom to two beagles. Ringo, age 13, and Jakey, age 10. I recently rescued Jakey from Nittany Beagle Rescue, and I am a volunteer dog walker with the organization as well. Prior to Jakey, I had a rescue beagle named Brewski. Brewski had back issues and as he got older, he required a doggie wheelchair to help with his outdoor mobility needs and required doggie belly wraps for incontinence issues. I currently work so I am available any time on the weekends to care for your pet. I am also available most evenings beginning around to walk your pet. I currently use a leash for my dogs, or a tie out when they need to go out to the bathroom. I do not currently crate my dogs, but have crated them in the past.
