“I had a fantastic experience with Crystal while she looked after my 9-month-old Snowshoe cat, Mavis, during my spring break. Right from the meet and greet, she knew her stuff. She introduced Mavis to her apartment, and her pet is around the same age, Sushi, and gave us some great tips on helping Mavis settle in. The Blink camera in the room where Mavis stayed was a nice touch, allowing Crystal to check in on her whenever she was out, which was reassuring. Plus, she ensured Mavis got plenty of playtime – she understood Mavis's playful side. I was impressed by how Crystal helped Mavis and Sushi become friends. They hit it off after a little supervised playtime, which made me feel even better about leaving Mavis with her. What genuinely set Crystal apart was her communication. About: I didn’t start out as a “cat person,” but when my daughter asked for a cat in 2008, everything changed. Seventeen years later, I’ve shared my home with four beloved family cats, cared for two foster litters, and volunteered for five years at a no-kill shelter in New Jersey. At the shelter, I gained hands-on experience with socializing cats, giving oral medication, and tending to their daily needs. I know how important the little things are (like a fresh, clean litter box) because they make life so much better for cats. I take pride in providing that kind of thoughtful, consistent care. My daughter is grown (and has two cats of her own!), and my leash-trained tabby, Lavender, and I moved to Bellefonte in the spring of 2025. “We were a little apprehensive, never used Rover before, we were unfamiliar with Rillan, just had past reviews to help us choose. Happy to say, we were pleasantly surprised! Rillan is definitely a dog person. Our dog loves to play with other dogs, but dogs need to be monitored so they don’t get too crazy. She has a nice outdoor fenced play area and inside open space. Like a good kindergarten teacher, Rillan makes sure each dog plays nicely, separates those that need a time out and also gives individual attention. She sent pictures and stayed in touch, just for an afternoon of doggie day care! Our dog’s day ended with a nap and snuggles with Rillan and another dog hanging out on the sofa!! About: I always had a dog and cat growing up that I was responsible for. Ever since then throughout high school and college, I've had many pet owners have me come to their homes to care after their fur babies, and I have plenty of experience of stopping in to feed, leave out to the bathroom, and keep them company. About: Ever since we adopted my dog in 2019, I have been obsessed with caring for animals. I have taken my dog on at least 100 walks in his lifetime so far, and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon! Additionally, I have been requested by multiple neighbors and friends to dog sit and cat sit for them. I have been dog sitting and catsitting for the same people for about 4 years now, so I would say I have a lot of experience!! I currently work part time at Kohls, so my schedule is a little all over the place. However, I am willing to set a strict availability in order to balance both jobs. Ideally, I can work during the week, but if weekends are needed, I can make some changes. I am very much a rule follower when it comes to watching pets in a clients home. I try to stay by the animals as much as possible to make sure they aren’t getting up to anything, while also staying in the common areas to respect my clients home. I love playing with the animals and giving tons of pets, so don’t worry about your pets being bored!
About: I've loved animals of all kinds ever since I can remember and have always had pets while growing up and since, including dogs, cats, parakeets, turtles, rabbits and fish. I can't imagine not having animals as part of my family. We currently have a dog and six cats. My dog, who is part Jack Russel Terrier, was a puppy when we adopted him, so it was necessary to house-train him, which I was able to accomplish in just a couple of weeks. I don't know if it was my technique or just that he was very smart! I recently retired from full-time work and can devote lots of time to my dog & cats. I try to stick to a routine, though, similar to the one I had when I had a job: scooping the litter boxes in the morning & evening and feeding twice a day. My dog was recently diagnosed with diabetes so he requires an insulin injection after each meal, which needs to be very consistently timed. My dog has never been the type to want to run off on his own. We live in the country far back from the road but, because he won't even go outside unless I go with him, a fence or restraint isn't needed. However, I have lived in cities where having dogs on a leash was necessary so I have experience with that - having walked 3 dogs at once at times in the past. I would never let someone else's dog outside without a leash, tie-out, or fenced in yard. My cats stay indoors to keep them, as well as, the birds and other wildlife safe but, if a client's cat is allowed outdoors, I will do as they wish.
About: My mom is a zoologist, so I was raised learning how to treat all animals with the best care. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with special food conditions. I know that our pets our just as much part of the family as humans, and I promise to provide them with the best and most loving care as if they were my own. I am currently a full-time college student with an internship that typically keeps me busy in the afternoons. However, my schedule is flexible with mornings and evenings typically being more open. From experience with my own pets, I find that dogs and cats miss their owners just as much as their owners miss them when they’re away, if not more. That being said, after completing any responsibilities the family has asked of me, I always take some extra time to hang out with the pets to make sure they feel loved while missing their family. I also find that the families appreciate picture and text updates of how their pets are doing while they’re gone. I always make sure to do that so the owners can trust their pets are in good hands.

About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life, at least 8 over the years, plus 9 puppies we rehomed to better lives. My mom and I were always the type to stop for any dog that needed help, so caring for them just became second nature to me. I was always the go-to in my family when it came to looking after them, no matter how many we had at once. Your dog will be in hands that genuinely love them. About: I have taken care of a large variety of dogs since I was in middle school, outside of the 3 I have grown up with. I have always been reliable to feed, walk, play and give potty breaks according to each dog’s needs. I’ve worked with dogs ranging from 5 lbs to 150 lbs, and dogs of all ages. I work part time so I have plenty of time to care for your animals! I mainly work in the afternoons, but my house always has someone available for constant socializing. Whenever I am not at work, I am at home, and will have plenty of quality time to give your pet. :) I love to go on long walks, and have friends who like to join so your animal will be thoroughly socialized.
