About: I’ve always had family animals that I’ve adored and that got my foot into working in rescue! I’ve work with extra small to extra large dogs, a lot of cats and some other species. I feel very comfortable with behavioral differences in different animals. I’ve worked along side very talented vets and techs that have taught me a lot about medical care, as well. I work part time at home with a dog and two cats. I take physical and mental enrichment very seriously for all animals. Any animal I’m caring for comes first everyday. A tired dog is a happy dog. I have friendly animals at home, a large crate if needed and a separate room set up for shy animals to warm up to the other animals. We have a large (not fenced) yard but we take many long walks a day to keep up with physical needs!

About: Growing up my family had a miniature schnauzer and we were lucky enough to have her in our lives for 18 years! I would walk her every day, administer tick and flea medicine, teach her tricks, make eating her food fun as she got older, took her to the groomer, and of course gave her lots of attention and playtime. I've also walked a handful of my friends' dogs before either just around the block or for a few miles depending on much exercise they need. I'm also familiar with drop in visits to feed dogs dinner or let them out to run around in the yard. Right now I work part time so I have some availability during the work week, as well as the weekends. I'd be happy to come walk your dog before work, let your dog out (and or walk them) around lunch time, feed your dog or cat breakfast, lunch or dinner, as well as just spending time playing with your pets and making sure they are getting the attention they need when you are away. When I am in your home I will be diligent to make sure I am providing your pet the care that you have asked for. I like to know what is expected of me to make sure I provide quality care so I may ask some questions to ensure I am successful!

About: My family has had dogs and cats my entire life so I am experienced in taking care of both, I often watch the pets of friends and family. I am a grad student so my schedule is very flexible. I am able to check on cats in the morning and at night, helping with routine related activities (e.g. feeding, changing water, etc) I have a safe and secure home with minimal clutter, since I myself have a cat I make sure to keep dangerous things out of his reach and am conscious of reducing risk in all situations. For example, my cat does not have access to bags (to reduce risk of suffocation), or medicines, or sharp objects.

About: As a child, my family had a Maltese since he was a puppy and he lived until the age of 15 years old. His life expectancy was around 7 years old, so he was a senior dog. I learned how to take care of my dog at a young age and was responsible for taking care of him. Now, my parents and I have a puppy named Shylo Esch. He is a mix of Bernese mountain dog and mini poodle. I have attended puppy class with him at Manners N' More in Bellefonte, PA. My baby dog, Shylo Esch, has been spoiled by my parents with many toys and treats. He is treat motivated from his puppy training, leashed for outdoor walks and goes in his crate when nobody is home. I hold myself to a strong work ethic when caring for dogs by creating a disciplined yet empathetic stance when caring for fur babies or elderly dogs. In my clients home, I closely follow the rules and duties of the care they require to care for their dogs. I set up a meet n' greet with the dog and owner before committing. I like to meet the dog beforehand to see if we are a good fit by interacting, playing with or taking them on a walk with the owner around their usual route in order to gauge their temperament and comfortability with me. I ask various questions about how the owner takes care of the dog, so I can best follow their lead. I ask about daily routine activities, food schedule, treat frequency, walking time, habits, likes, dislikes, etc. I prefer to follow the daily routine and activities that the dog is used to in order to keep them on track while their owner is away.
