“Kelly is amazing and has been a tremendous help with our weird schedules. Our bulldog Daisy is just happier after a long day alone with Miss Kelly stopping in for a visit!! Thank you.”

About: We love dogs! We enjoyed our beautiful Bichon for 17 years and now we have a Portuguese Water Dog and a rescued Labradoodle. We're looking forward to providing your pup with a fun, safe place to stay. We have a large 4 acre lot with about 1/2 acre of fenced yard. Jodi works part time, which allows for plenty of time for midday play, walks and outdoor time. Our fur babies love playing with each other and we often host play dates with friends and their dogs, that are always a big hit. We know how difficult it is to find someone you trust with your baby, and we look forward to welcoming your dog into our home while you take that business trip or long overdue vacation. Working part time allows for extra time with my dogs...and yours! Our dogs are family - they sit with us on the couch and sleep in our bed. Yours will be free to relax wherever they find most comfortable. We have a fenced yard in addition to a large wooded lot that your babies are sure to enjoy. Our two friendly dogs will keep your fur baby company and I can also easily crate your dog inside, if needed.
“This was my first time using Rover and didn't know what to expect. Totally pleased with my experience. Carla did an outstanding job dealing with my dogs. She clearly knows how to deal with dogs and had no trouble getting my less than polite dog to warn up to her. I got plenty of pictures and updates. Carla even went above and beyond and washed the dishes I had prepared dog dinners in. Wasn't necessary but she clearly takes pride in what she does. She even got the best picture anyone had taken of my two. I'm totally please and will not hesitate to use Carla again. Highly recommend.”

About: My family has had dogs and cats my entire life so I am experienced in taking care of both, I often watch the pets of friends and family. I am a grad student so my schedule is very flexible. I am able to check on cats in the morning and at night, helping with routine related activities (e.g. feeding, changing water, etc) I have a safe and secure home with minimal clutter, since I myself have a cat I make sure to keep dangerous things out of his reach and am conscious of reducing risk in all situations. For example, my cat does not have access to bags (to reduce risk of suffocation), or medicines, or sharp objects.
“Laura is the absolute best! I have a rescue dog who is very skeptical of new people, and after using Laura a second time, he has really warmed up to her and trusts her which is a HUGE accomplishment. He normally does not take a treat or play fetch with new people, and he did with her! In addition to her ability to understand my dogs needs and his behavior, I appreciate that she communicates and gives updates after each check-in. It makes me feel so comfortable when traveling and not stressed. Thanks again, Laura!”

“Bailee was great! She cared for Roc & Cookie and spent tons of time with them. That was great since they are high energy dogs who love people. She went above and beyond and we couldn’t be happier with how Bailee took care of our fur babies!!”

“Tara is warm, friendly, and reliable. She consistently checked in on my cat over several weeks and quickly became a wonderful companion for him. Tara kept me updated with timely communication and showed great responsibility throughout. I will definitely request her help again in the future and highly recommend her services to others.”

About: I've had 2 dogs, and I had a wonderful list of clients in Vermont. They were friends or became friends. Your dog is my love. I am retired. My daily schedule is fairly flexible right now except for a morning class at the Y. This is my only part-time job. I follow all of your expectations, and I will spend a lot of time cuddling and playing. I also talk a lot to your pets!
About: Hi! I’m a pet sitter with a soft spot for all creatures—furry, scaly, or spidery. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, geckos, bearded dragons, fish, guinea pigs, bunnies, chickens, and tarantulas, and I know how to handle both the basics and the more unique needs. Tattoos and piercings aside, I’m reliable, responsible, and genuinely love animals. I’m here to make sure your pets feel safe, seen, and well cared for while you’re away—whether that means a walk, tank check, or just some love and attention. I’m a local college student home for summer break so I am flexible and free to meet your needs, from long-term to daily check-ins to hours of play! I am very specific with my interaction with your pets— any instructions, no matter how weird or detailed, I will follow to ensure great care for your pet.
About: I’ve had the joy of being the on-call sitter for a family for over 10 years, taking care of their special needs cats, feral cats, and senior dog. I have walked the dogs of my senior neighbors for years before owning my own sweet black lab. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, senior or puppy. I’m currently working part time after moving to Minnesota from Illinois. I am available in the mornings to early afternoon through the week and weekend. I am a reliable sitter with years of experience in emergency medicine, I do not practice in the field anymore but I am someone you can trust and count on. I can easily crate your dog if provided!
“Leigh did a wonderful job!! We appreciated her communication and how thorough she was with feeding and walking our dogs. We would definitely have Leigh again to take care of our fur babies!!”

About: I've taken care of cats since five years ago. We have our own cat, Puffy, and also take care of our friends' cats from time to time. My two boys are both cat lovers and very helpful for taking care of cats. I'm working parttime at home, so I am at home most of the time. My schedule is very flexible and should be able to fit your needs. We have a single house, which provide plenty of space for cats to explore. We will clean the litter box every day for your cats. We also have plenty of toys for your cats to play with.
About: I’ve taken care of my dogs since I was 11! I’d take them for walks, give them baths, brush them and feed them! Since I’m an only child, animals have been the closest thing I’ve had to siblings lol. My mom and I have five animals, four cats and a dog, and I love them to pieces! As a result, I can proudly say I have a good amount of experience working with animals of many different shapes and sizes. I’m currently a part-time college student but all my classes are online. This means I can go anywhere at any time. I’d love to spend time with your animals as I do my homework. :) At home I usually like to make sure I’m always in the same room as our dog! I try my best to keep any dangerous food/ objects out of reach.
About: As a child, my family had a Maltese since he was a puppy and he lived until the age of 15 years old. His life expectancy was around 7 years old, so he was a senior dog. I learned how to take care of my dog at a young age and was responsible for taking care of him. Now, my parents and I have a puppy named Shylo Esch. He is a mix of Bernese mountain dog and mini poodle. I have attended puppy class with him at Manners N' More in Bellefonte, PA. I also frequently walk my family friend's dog who is a Labrador retriever. I grew up around dogs and learning to and caring for them, I have a deep love for taking care of dogs. I am currently job searching and am working to enroll back at Penn State in the fall full time. I usually have appointments scheduled throughout the week and plans with friends/family whenever we have time. When considering booking dog care, I make sure I have the availability for your pup(s) and communicate with you about it. My baby dog, Shylo Esch, has been spoiled by my parents with many toys and treats. He is treat motivated from his puppy training, leashed for outdoor walks and goes in his crate when nobody is home. I hold myself to a strong work ethic when caring for dogs by creating a disciplined yet empathetic stance when caring for fur babies or elderly dogs. In my clients home, I closely follow the rules and duties of the care they require to care for their dogs. I set up a meet n' greet with the dog and owner before committing. I like to meet the dog beforehand to see if we are a good fit by interacting, playing with or taking them on a walk with the owner around their usual route in order to gauge their temperament and comfortability with me. I ask various questions about how the owner takes care of the dog, so I can best follow their lead. I ask about daily routine activities, food schedule, treat frequency, walking time, habits, likes, dislikes, etc. I prefer to follow the daily routine and activities that the dog is used to in order to keep them on track while their owner is away.

About: I am a former Veterinary Technician living and working in the State College area, available for part-time pet sitting. I have 8 years of experience in the field of veterinary medicine, the last 4 in specialty/emergency medicine. I love animals of all shapes and sizes with experience mostly with cats and dogs (some exotic experience). I am comfortable giving medications and caring for special needs pets. I have a fairly flexible work schedule that allows me to focus on this business more. If you have any questions about my availability, please don’t hesitate to contact me! I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I am currently working part time from home so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule and am able to accommodate caring for clients’ pets as well as my own fur babies at home. I try to keep the environment and routine as close to normal as possible to avoid stress, taking a little time to get to know each pet and their personalities.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
