The Blink camera in the room where Mavis stayed was a nice touch, allowing Crystal to check in on her whenever she was out, which was reassuring. It was a relief to have her checking in on him. As to logistics: she was extremely quick and precise in answering messages, and very patient and flexible with the multiple times I had to tweak my booking request (because of unforeseen travel changes on my end). The kitchen was cleaner than when I left, and Ruth also went out of the way to bring trash and recycling containers off the street, something I hadn't asked her to do but appreciate. As to keeping this skeptical little cat company: she was very perceptive; I would genuinely trust her if there were an emergency of basically any kind. She put him at ease and got him to eat (something he sometimes is reluctant to do when stressed); she must have been a very reassuring presence. About: I’ve always had family animals that I’ve adored and that got my foot into working in rescue! I’ve work with extra small to extra large dogs, a lot of cats and some other species. I feel very comfortable with behavioral differences in different animals. I’ve worked along side very talented vets and techs that have taught me a lot about medical care, as well. I work part time at home with a dog and two cats. I take physical and mental enrichment very seriously for all animals. Any animal I’m caring for comes first everyday. A tired dog is a happy dog. I have friendly animals at home, a large crate if needed and a separate room set up for shy animals to warm up to the other animals. We have a large (not fenced) yard but we take many long walks a day to keep up with physical needs!

About: I have cared for many different types of animals since I was a child. Dogs, cats, bunnies, rats and hamsters. Fostered and lived with many dogs. I currently have dogs and cats. They are the joy of my life especially since the kids (and grand dogs) have grown and moved. Couldn’t imagine life without them. I have two dogs and 2 cats to keep the fur guests company. Lots of play time in the fenced back yard. And snuggles on the couch.
