About: I have 20+ years of experience caring for animals, including cats, dogs, and even three pet mice! I’ve cared for my own pets as well as friends’ and family members’ pets over the years, so I’m comfortable with animals of all different personalities and needs. I currently have two cats of my own, one of whom has medical needs, and I’d love to give your pets the same love, attention, and care I give my own. I work part-time, so I have plenty of flexibility to give your pets the time and attention they need, especially in the mornings and evenings. I’m also happy to help on weekends or care for your pets for multiple days in a row! I would treat your pets like my own, with the same love and care my boys receive! Whether you have a quiet kitty, a spicy kitty, a playful pup, or a dog who just wants some extra company, I’d be happy to help. Of course, I’ll make sure they’re fed, cared for, and have everything they need, but I also want them to feel loved and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll happily spend time with them, give them plenty of attention and affection, take them for walks if needed, and keep them company so they don’t feel so alone!

About: Big or small, I’ve probably kissed it on the nose! My vet hospital experience gives me the ability to acknowledge changes in each species better than most. I’m a lover of horses and cows, so big dogs wouldn’t be any different for me. I’m happy to administer medications, keep up with a training schedule/routine, keep up with their energy needs by going to the dog park or walks, etc. I’m known to be a confident, compassionate, and reliable person with animals. I’m a morning person! I’m available most mornings and evenings. My class schedule doesn’t have me on campus for extended periods of time. I don’t have classes on Fridays and am looking to do this as my main income source! I will happily respect your house rules, but I could cuddle all day long with the fur balls! Growing up, I was totally guilty of letting my dog in bed and giving some human food. Now, I understand the importance of discipline and routine. I’m happy to follow your routine and give ample pet kisses along the way! I am sure to treat every pet as my own. If I notice a lump, bump, cut, etc. I’m never one to assume you already know about it. Their happiness and health is my top priority.

“As others here are saying, Ruth was *really* great--my somewhat shy, standoffish cat quickly and visibly warmed to her (she had a very gentle, low-key way of introducing herself to him). It was a relief to have her checking in on him. As to logistics: she was extremely quick and precise in answering messages, and very patient and flexible with the multiple times I had to tweak my booking request (because of unforeseen travel changes on my end). The kitchen was cleaner than when I left, and Ruth also went out of the way to bring trash and recycling containers off the street, something I hadn't asked her to do but appreciate. As to keeping this skeptical little cat company: she was very perceptive; I would genuinely trust her if there were an emergency of basically any kind. She put him at ease and got him to eat (something he sometimes is reluctant to do when stressed); she must have been a very reassuring presence. I also appreciate her detailed messages and several photos in which he's rolling on his back looking fairly pleased by things. When I got back this morning he seemed in much better spirits than he normally does after I have to travel. Thank you Ruth!”

About: Growing up with dogs all my life along with my animal science major I am well versed in medication routines, early morning to late night potty breaks, special dietary needs to the ones who have been loved past their youth and need a little extra care. I’ve been bit, scratched, slobbered and thrown up on so I can handle anything your pets have to offer. I’m working part time at a restaurant however I am more than willing to make time during off days for your fur-babies, walks and regular exercise, quick check ins and long stays I will make time to do. Pets are watched closely, mostly nearly medication administration and meal time. If desired I can feed at specific times and can adapt a medication schedule periodically for any and all fur babies.
