“Katie and her family made our first Rover experience awesome. Clear, quick communications and day-of photo pictures were helpful and reassuring. Ziva came home tired from lots of yard time.”

“I cant say enough about Simone & Kenya. We were in a bind and they were able to help us with very short notice. They sent pictures throughout the day which gave us great comfort that our puppy was being well cared for. He was so very happy when we picked him up. I know he would like to visit again.”

“Tess and Curt were fantastic caregivers. I knew Beau was in great hands-they were warm and friendly and it was clear that they love dogs. In fact, the second day when I entered their driveway, Beau could not wait to get out of the car-this was certainly testimony to his great experience. I knew he was safe and I knew he was having fun interacting with other dogs along with Tess and Curt! I could also see from the videos that my dog was doing well in his new environment! It was a great experience for me and for my dog I will be reaching out to them again! Awesome!!!”

About: I currently have a 7 yo adopted miniature schnauzer who is great with other dogs and would love some friends! In the past I have owned pugs, a chihuahua and pitt/lab mix. Have managed health and behavioral issues mostly associated with rescue pets and purebreds. I work from home often; away no more than3-4 hours. I work from home 2-3 days a week and typically away less than 4 hours at a time. Weekends I can also be available if needed. Have a safe and quiet home with small enclosed porch and nearby dog park. I walk my own dog every 3-4 hours except for a slightly longer stretch overnight. Walk to nearby dog park, around neighborhood, Tudek, and other larger local dog parks and trails.

About: I’m a physician and lifelong animal lover offering in-home dog boarding purely out of passion for pets. I share my home with my own friendly, well-socialized dogs who genuinely enjoy meeting and spending time with new canine friends. We have a secure fenced yard, plenty of space to play, and a calm, structured home environment. If you’re looking for a home-based boarding experience with consistency, attentiveness, and genuine love for animals, I’d be happy to see if we’re a good fit. My work schedule runs in 14-day blocks, which means I have two full weeks each month completely off. During those off weeks, I provide 24/7 supervision, hands-on care, and companionship, focusing on a small number of dogs at a time so each pet receives individualized attention, exercise, and affection. I do this intentionally so dogs are never just “watched,” but truly cared for. While I may consider limited after-work boarding during my on-weeks in the future, I am currently focusing on providing the highest level of care during my off weeks as I thoughtfully build this service. Safety, comfort, and a positive social experience are my top priorities. I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own. I have a fenced very good size yard so dogs can go out and play all they want. Lots of sun. Water fountains using only filtered osmosis water. I plan on setting up doggy cams in the yard so you can see your dog playing and go potty in the day.
About: I will treat your pet like my own!! I have had such a connection and passion for animals, especially dogs, cats and horses since I was young. Over the last few years I have fostered dogs for a rescue organization and I am a proud pet parent of a rescue dog who came from overseas. I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to change his life. I am a very cautious pet sitter and will make sure they are comfortable and safe. I will also respect your property, take care of it as my own, and always leave it tidy. My experience includes: reactive and anxious dogs, puppy training, basic obedience training, and fostering. I am currently working part-time from home, so I am very flexible, and I can adjust my schedule to fit your pets needs during my time. I have a fenced in yard, and a couch that seems to serve as a giant dog bed!! I treat my dogs like human, I love to be close to them, whether it's playing on the floor or cuddling on the couch. Because of this, I also make sure to keep every space cleanly and taken care of.
About: I have years of experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes! I grew up always having a dog around so I have years of experience. I am very responsible and reliable when it comes to any job or task. I currently just moved into the State College area. I’m currently on a job search. Until I find the right job for me, my availability is very open. I currently don’t have any pets in my home. I prefer not to stay at my clients homes to watch their dog. I would prefer drop-ins or bring them to my home. Outside of my home we have a dog park and walking trails!
About: Hi there! I was raised on a crop farm and grew up surrounded by animals of all kinds. My extended family owns cattle, dogs, cats, and more—so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and temperaments, and I treat every animal like family. Whether it’s a walk, cuddle, or just company, I’m here to make sure your pet feels safe and loved I’m pretty flexible during the week and can often do last-minute bookings. I occasionally travel for work on weekends, but I’ll always keep my calendar updated so you know when I’m available! I live on a farm, so there’s plenty of space for animals to roam, play, and go to the bathroom comfortably. I make sure pets get lots of attention, exercise, and affection while keeping their routines as close to home as possible. Whether it’s feeding on time, giving them space to explore safely, or just offering calm companionship, I care for each animal with patience and love. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family!
About: I have cared for many different types of animals since I was a child. Dogs, cats, bunnies, rats and hamsters. Fostered and lived with many dogs. I currently have dogs and cats. State College dog parents share their Rover experiences
I had an amazing experience with this pet sitter and would absolutely recommend her to anyone! She is an extremely good dog sitter—very attentive, caring, and clearly passionate about what she does. Her communication is wonderful, always respectful and efficient, which made the entire process so easy and stress-free. When there was an issue with the leash, she went out of her way to replace it without any complaints, which I really appreciated. It showed how responsible and considerate she is. She also sends pictures during visits, which gave me so much peace of mind and let me see how happy my puppy was. Most importantly, my puppy was very comfortable with her and genuinely happy in her care. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!

Denika Z. was wonderful! She responded quickly, was so kind, and really understood that our dog doesn’t always get along with smaller dogs. Her lovely backyard was perfect, and she kept us updated with videos the whole time. Our dog loved being with her. We couldn’t have asked for better care!
