About: I’ve always had family animals that I’ve adored and that got my foot into working in rescue! I’ve work with extra small to extra large dogs, a lot of cats and some other species. I feel very comfortable with behavioral differences in different animals. I’ve worked along side very talented vets and techs that have taught me a lot about medical care, as well. I work part time at home with a dog and two cats. I take physical and mental enrichment very seriously for all animals. Any animal I’m caring for comes first everyday. A tired dog is a happy dog. I have friendly animals at home, a large crate if needed and a separate room set up for shy animals to warm up to the other animals. “As others here are saying, Ruth was *really* great--my somewhat shy, standoffish cat quickly and visibly warmed to her (she had a very gentle, low-key way of introducing herself to him). It was a relief to have her checking in on him. As to logistics: she was extremely quick and precise in answering messages, and very patient and flexible with the multiple times I had to tweak my booking request (because of unforeseen travel changes on my end). The kitchen was cleaner than when I left, and Ruth also went out of the way to bring trash and recycling containers off the street, something I hadn't asked her to do but appreciate. As to keeping this skeptical little cat company: she was very perceptive; I would genuinely trust her if there were an emergency of basically any kind. She put him at ease and got him to eat (something he sometimes is reluctant to do when stressed); she must have been a very reassuring presence. I also appreciate her detailed messages and several photos in which he's rolling on his back looking fairly pleased by things. You set the rules! In the past, I have used garage codes or been given a key and gone in to let the dog out, and spent some time with them so they are not lonely throughout the day!
About: Growing up my family had a miniature schnauzer and we were lucky enough to have her in our lives for 18 years! I would walk her every day, administer tick and flea medicine, teach her tricks, make eating her food fun as she got older, took her to the groomer, and of course gave her lots of attention and playtime. I've also walked a handful of my friends' dogs before either just around the block or for a few miles depending on much exercise they need. I'm also familiar with drop in visits to feed dogs dinner or let them out to run around in the yard. Right now I work part time so I have some availability during the work week, as well as the weekends. I'd be happy to come walk your dog before work, let your dog out (and or walk them) around lunch time, feed your dog or cat breakfast, lunch or dinner, as well as just spending time playing with your pets and making sure they are getting the attention they need when you are away. When I am in your home I will be diligent to make sure I am providing your pet the care that you have asked for. I like to know what is expected of me to make sure I provide quality care so I may ask some questions to ensure I am successful!
About: I’ve never lived without a dog; ever since I was a baby there had been a dog and cat in my home, though I will say I didn’t truly step up as a “pet parent” til the past 5 years or so. I care for my 13 year old dog and help her up and down steps, I’ve helped my cat through her kidney disease and managed her diets and medication, and I have experience both dog and cat sitting for family friends. I am also currently majoring in Wildlife & Fisheries Science so I’ve dealt with all sorts of animals. I am a full time student, however I will have plenty of time between classes to assist whatever your pets may need! I am available all weekends Mondays; Available between 10am-1pm, as well as past 5:30 Tuesday; Available any time before 1pm and any time after 6pm Wednesday; Available after 5:30 Thursday; Available any time before 1pm and any time after 6pm Friday; Available any time between 10am-4pm I have dealt with fairly large dogs and managed to successfully crate them as well as keep them safe on a leash. I, myself, have an old dog back home so I understand how they may need extra care and patience and I can even support them in walking/moving around if needed. As for cats, I am very experienced and have been my cat’s primary caretaker since she was just a few weeks old. I understand their temperaments and have catsit for an extremely shy cat before and was even able to get her to come out of her shell a bit. I can of course handle cleaning a litterbox daily and any other needs they may have.
About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs since I was 12, as well as my neighbors dogs for the last 7 years. From pit bulls to golden retrievers, I love spending time with dogs of all breeds. Whether it be going on walks, playing fetch, or giving them love and attention, I’ll make sure your dog is safe and well cared for. I am currently a college students with a very flexible schedule. I only have classes Tuesdays and Thursdays, however I am still available before, in between, and after class. I have experience with crate training and walking all kinds of dog breeds. About: Ever since I was a little kid I have been around dogs and cats. I love animals and currently have two cats named Peaches and CC along with a dog named Porkchop. About: I’ve always had family animals that I’ve adored and that got my foot into working in rescue! I’ve work with extra small to extra large dogs, a lot of cats and some other species. I feel very comfortable with behavioral differences in different animals. I’ve worked along side very talented vets and techs that have taught me a lot about medical care, as well. About: I will give your dog my full attention as well as my children. We all love animals. My children are super gentle and loving and love to take walks so finding time to take your dog for a walk will be no problem! I am home all day so your dog will get lots of attention! I am choosing to do this because the kids want a dog but I am not fully committed to buying one of our own quite yet, so dog sitting will please everyone. I have a huge yard with the option of fenced in and unfenced areas. We have very few neighbors so if your pup is a barker it will be not a problem. Lots of space to take dogs for walks without running into other people or animals.
