“If you’re looking for the absolute best care for your dog, look no further than the amazing Tess & Kurt! From the moment we met them, it was clear how much they genuinely love dogs. They took the time to get to know my pup’s personality and quirks, and introduced her to their dog in a very patient and understanding way. Their communication was fantastic—they provided hourly updates (which they didn’t have to do) and the cutest photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My dog was so happy and relaxed when I returned, I could tell she’d been showered with attention. What really sets them apart is their kindness and patience. I can’t recommend them highly enough—trustworthy, caring, and truly the nicest dog sitters ever. Chili can’t wait for his next stay! Thank you both for everything! 🐾”

“Seymour was immediately comfortable with them, and he runs right up to their door when I drop him off! It gives me so much peace of mind knowing he's going to have a good day and be well taken care of.”

About: I love to spend time with animals. I am known for spoiling my pets. Let me spoil yours! I have a very open availability, I am willing to work around your schedule, and I have my own reliable transportation. I am a patient, kind and respectful dog and cat owner, willing to work with your pets. I have extended experience with senior dogs, and am respectful of their limitations and needs. I have experience administering both oral and suppository medications, diapering and dogs in heat. I am open to many pet related activities. I have taken pets to the groomers and veterinarian, as well as helped at events such as weddings and parties, when people want their pets to be there or involved. Please don’t hesitate to ask, because we can probably make it happen! I am comfortable caring for many different animals. Living on a farm, I have years of experience with and am comfortable caring for many animals, including cats, dogs, horses, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, bunnies, guinea pigs, and fish. I am available as much or as little as you need for your animals! Please reach out, because I would love to meet your pets! I can normally respond very quickly, but there can be some noticeable lags on Rover updating information and conversations. Please be patient. If you are booking during a Penn State activity, game, holiday, etc., I will charge the holiday rate, as they are highly sought after times and traffic can be rough. I am a full-time pet care provider. I have Monday - Friday regular clients, but usually can accommodate your pet’s needs if you provide adequate notice. Typically if your pet can be left alone for 2-4 hours then I can help you. I am able to offer a number of more premium services, such as 24/7 pet care and out of town house sitting, but that takes a lot of forethought and planning. I will not accept a request without meeting you and your pet(s) first. This gives us an opportunity to go over all your pet’s needs and your questions. Number one question I get - will you be bringing your dog to my home? Sometimes this is out of curiosity, sometimes they like the idea of their pet having a buddy, but usually it is a safety concern. My dog will never enter your home. When I house sit overnight my dog stays with my sister. She is perfectly happy there and I don’t have to split my focus. My job is to focus on YOUR pet! During walks and in general, I do not allow dogs to interact with people or other dogs/pets. This is a big safety concern, as I often know nothing about other people/pets in the area. I do not take those types of liberties with your pets. We will instead turn a corner, cross the street, come back the way we came, or I politely inform them that ‘this is not my dog’, ‘we don’t have time today’, etc.
“My dog has pretty bad separation anxiety, but Katie’s house is the only sitter house he’s excited to visit! He can’t wait to be there. I would book with her again in a heartbeat.”

“We were a little apprehensive, never used Rover before, we were unfamiliar with Rillan, just had past reviews to help us choose. Happy to say, we were pleasantly surprised! Rillan is definitely a dog person. Our dog loves to play with other dogs, but dogs need to be monitored so they don’t get too crazy. She has a nice outdoor fenced play area and inside open space. Like a good kindergarten teacher, Rillan makes sure each dog plays nicely, separates those that need a time out and also gives individual attention. She sent pictures and stayed in touch, just for an afternoon of doggie day care! Our dog’s day ended with a nap and snuggles with Rillan and another dog hanging out on the sofa!! Will definitely use her again!”

“My dog, Mr. Cow Cow had a wonderful day with Sarah! She immediately made him feel right at home. he had fun playing with Sarah‘s dog and Sarah sent me updates and pictures along the way.I was worried he might not want to leave when I came back to pick him up! 🤣😂”

“Our puppy had a great day with Bex!! Bex was super prompt with getting back to me, a great communicator. She has a wonderful fenced in backyard for dogs to play and hangout in. I will definitely be using Bex again for our puppies needs.”

“As always, Annie enjoyed her time with Dean. I really appreciate the pictures he shares of all their activities. I never have any concerns when Annie stays with Dean. He provides her with great care. And he makes her feel welcome and comfortable in his home.”

About: I have cared for many different types of animals since I was a child. Dogs, cats, bunnies, rats and hamsters. Fostered and lived with many dogs. I currently have dogs and cats. They are the joy of my life especially since the kids (and grand dogs) have grown and moved. Couldn’t imagine life without them. I have two dogs and 2 cats to keep the fur guests company. Lots of play time in the fenced back yard. And snuggles on the couch.
About: I’ve had pets my entire life. Thankfully, growing up we had multiple dogs and cats which allowed me to experience the love a pet can bring. I couldn’t imagine a life without having pets. With experience pet sitting before, I know that each home comes with different routines and scenarios. I’ve had to train plenty of puppies, given medicine to elderly pets, and always enjoy building a relationship with a furry friend! I currently work full-time from home as a Content Manager. I have a moderately flexible schedule if need be, but for the most part, I’m looking for some long- term options so I can build a working relationship with the pet and owner. However, whenever my schedule allows I’m always open to pick up an overnight here and there! I treat each pet that enters my home as I treat my own! Pets are family, they deserve to be treated as such! Comfort is key in keeping my pet and other pets happy in the home.
“I was at Penn state with my family and pet to visit my son and had to get a quick drop of for Bruno (my pet ) for few hours . I found Brooke on Rover . She was very responsive from the time I requested her availability, drop off , pick up etc.”

“Justin did a wonderful job with Charlie during his stay, and provided great video and photo documentation throughout the day. As new puppy owners, we appreciate his expertise and will be using his services again!”

About: With 20 years of dog sitting experience, I have a lifelong passion for caring for dogs of all ages. I started dog sitting when I was 14 and have since provided overnight and drop-in services. Having grown up with dogs, I've helped train four puppies and nannied for a family with a senior dog for four years. My experience includes administering medication and catering to the unique needs of both puppies and senior dogs and everything in between. I am dedicated to offering reliable, compassionate, and professional care for your furry friends. I work remotely part-time, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility each day to provide dedicated care, attention, and companionship for your furry friend. When caring for pets, I prioritize safety and well-being. Dogs are always taken out on a leash to ensure their safety. I assume all dogs are not friendly unless told otherwise, ensuring a cautious and respectful approach to each new dog. I am knowledgeable about foods that are toxic to dogs and take great care to prevent them from consuming anything harmful. I believe strongly in positive reinforcement, rewarding good behavior rather than punishing the bad, to foster a trusting and happy relationship with the dogs I care for.
“Maya, was wonderful and accommodating. She took care of my pet Nova and I appreciate the love and care she provided . She will be a wonderful loving friend to your pet . Nova was happy to go again on the second day of his daycare. I would leave Nova again with her in the future. Thank you Maya”

“Haley was awesome. Needed a dog sitter while I was in town for my sister's graduation ceremony. Haley was very communicative and flexible, very close to campus too which made the logistics of the whole thing a breeze. Pups seemed to have had a lot of fun with their visit!”

About: I’m a huge animal lover, and have grown up with pets my whole life, I’ve had 2 dogs since I was 7, but I’ve also had birds, fish, bunnies, and a tortoise. While I haven’t worked professionally as a sitter, I have years of hands-on experience with pets. Taking care of my own, as well as pet sitting for friends. I’ve taken care of senior dogs as well as puppies, and have volunteered at animal shelters. I’m a recent Penn State grad with a very flexible schedule. I’m at home most days, since I’m studying for some finance exams, so pets in my care are never left alone for long and always have plenty of attention and company I live in a cozy apartment with a private terrace (picture in profile), perfect for some fresh air and sun. I keep a calm, clean home and treat every pet like my own. I provide regular updates and photos so pet parents always know how their fur baby is doing. I live with 2 other roommates who are also animal lovers, one of them also being a verified Rover sitter, so there’s plenty of love and attention for the pets to go around
