About: I have taken care of animals for nearly 10 years and have experience with all kinds of dogs, cats, fish, and reptiles. I am a pet owner myself, so I know how important it is to feel that your loved one is in good hands. I am always sure to follow directions closely, and do everything I can to ensure the animals have a safe and enjoyable experience. I'm currently a graduate student and have a pretty flexible schedule. For the summer, I am generally available any morning and evening during the weekday + any time on the weekend. I follow the care instructions, take note of the living area, monitor the animal for any signs of stress or illness, and provide them the attention they need, whether that be playing, petting, or spending quiet time with them.

About: I’ve grown up with animals all my life from dogs to cats to rabbits and many more. I loved taking my dog for walks, but sadly she has passed away so I would love to walk your dog. I also love cats, I had one cat a few years back, but my parents won’t let me get another one so if you have a cat I would give it and / or your dog all types of love. I love any type of dog or cats or any other animal! I currently work full time at Penn State from 5am to 1:30pm. I would gladly care for your pets over nights, do drop-in visits or walks! I will do whatever is necessary to make sure you and your animals feel safe and comfortable while you are gone and I will send pictures whenever you ask!

I genuinely enjoy keeping pets comfortable in their own homes while you're away. I understand it is important to keep a pets routine, and I want to do what's best for the pet. About: I’m a Penn State student, formerly an Animal Science major and now a third-year studying Psychology. I previously volunteered at PAW Pets Shelter, where I gained hands-on experience caring for and interacting with dogs of different temperaments and needs. I’m very patient when it comes to pet care, and I enjoy teaching and guiding pets step by step so they can feel comfortable, confident, and safe. I also have a toy poodle back home, so I understand the responsibility and attention that goes into caring for a dog every day. As a Penn State student, my schedule is very flexible, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. About: I have worked in an animal shelter for almost 7 years. I was the kennel manager, I did the daily cleaning and walking of the dogs and cats and have experience in medicating them. I'm currently not working so I have a pretty flexible schedule, any time and days of the week work well for me. please feel free to ask me any questions I have tons of experience and know a lot about handling and caring for animals. I have 2 very loving cats but your pets would not be meeting them.

About: I’ve always been a dog family, growing up with always 2 dogs or more in my family households. When I was 20, I adopted my soul dog Dusty, who was extremely dog reactive. He showed me a lot of how to deal with reactive dogs, especially on walks and dealing with strangers who may not get that their dog may be friendly, but yours may need that extra space to be comfortable. I now also own two cats, adopted from the local shelter Paws and they have become my life. They are very clingy but also shy towards strangers. So I also very understand if you own some shy cats, I would love them just the same! I currently live all year in State College, work full time but still have plenty of time for my cats and still have more time for others. Just let me know 24 hours ahead or more and it can happen! I am fully comfortable crating all kinds of dogs, walking any breed, or dealing with any shy temperamental cat. I really love animals with all my heart, and you have my word when you’re not home- you don’t need to worry about your furry loved one back home.

About: My mom is a zoologist, so I was raised learning how to treat all animals with the best care. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with special food conditions. I know that our pets our just as much part of the family as humans, and I promise to provide them with the best and most loving care as if they were my own. I am currently a full-time college student with an internship that typically keeps me busy in the afternoons. However, my schedule is flexible with mornings and evenings typically being more open. From experience with my own pets, I find that dogs and cats miss their owners just as much as their owners miss them when they’re away, if not more. That being said, after completing any responsibilities the family has asked of me, I always take some extra time to hang out with the pets to make sure they feel loved while missing their family. I also find that the families appreciate picture and text updates of how their pets are doing while they’re gone. I always make sure to do that so the owners can trust their pets are in good hands.

About: Hi! My name is Katie! I am a student at Penn State and a lover of all creatures, large and small! I have had family dogs throughout my childhood. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, breeds with longer coats, and both large and small breeds. I also have experience with handling rescues of various sizes with different triggers. I also have grown up with cats and have experience with all ages and sizes too! Additionally, I have experience with caring for pet rabbits. I have had several over the years. **I do not have experience with disabled or dogs with special needs, however I am willing to learn and accommodate whenever necessary! I am currently working part-time and am a part-time student at Penn State (student status subject to change). I will have plenty of time to tend to your fur babies! I cannot provide boarding services at this time, so all my pet care services will be at or around your home. I can walk the dogs, play with them, make sure they are properly fed and watered, and take them outside regularly.

About: Ever since we adopted my dog in 2019, I have been obsessed with caring for animals. I have taken my dog on at least 100 walks in his lifetime so far, and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon! Additionally, I have been requested by multiple neighbors and friends to dog sit and cat sit for them. I have been dog sitting and catsitting for the same people for about 4 years now, so I would say I have a lot of experience!! I currently work part time at Kohls, so my schedule is a little all over the place. However, I am willing to set a strict availability in order to balance both jobs. Ideally, I can work during the week, but if weekends are needed, I can make some changes. I am very much a rule follower when it comes to watching pets in a clients home. I try to stay by the animals as much as possible to make sure they aren’t getting up to anything, while also staying in the common areas to respect my clients home. I love playing with the animals and giving tons of pets, so don’t worry about your pets being bored!

About: I have taken care of dogs from puppies all the way to 13 years old. I treat each pet individually with care and care for them like they are my own! I’ve been able to look after pets for neighbors, friends and family! I have a really flexible job that has given me the chance to live anywhere, especially in the summer. I am able to work from home and take care of your pet! I can crate your pet, give them treats, walk/run with them, feed and teach them basic commands or just be their cuddle buddy to keep them company while you are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, especially while I’m home for the summer and have a more open schedule. I plan my days around my availability (11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays) and make sure I have enough time to give each pet the attention, care, and playtime they need. Whether it's feeding, grooming, or just keeping a cat company, I treat it like a priority not a side task. I also stay flexible so I can adjust to each pet’s unique routine and needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize creating a calm and familiar environment by following the pet’s routine as closely as possible. I pay close attention to body language and other cues to understand how the pet is feeling, and I give them the space or affection they need based on their comfort level. About: I love animals and have taken care of a variety of animals my whole life! I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats, and have taken care of and ridden horses most of my life. I’ve always been the primary caretaker of all of my families pets, to the point that my “family dogs” always just turned into my dogs. I currently have a 3 year old chihuahua and a 10 year old hound/lab mix. I have experience with just about any situation involving pets. I’ve nursed dogs back after surgery, and had pets on hospice. I am very used to (and prefer typically) longer, more stimulating walks, but also am very happy with short outings. I also have access to a doggie stroller I would be happy to use if needed for any pet! I am unfortunately unavailable Wednesdays and Sundays from 11am-6pm as I am at my barn job. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays I am at my other job from 6pm-12am, but my schedule is typically flexible for both and can be shifted! I have experience with crate training and am very comfortable with gaining new dogs trusts especially in their own home as I’ve studied animals body language on my own extensively!

About: As an incoming 1st year vet student, I have devoted over 8000 hours to veterinary medicine. This has given me experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes, including young puppies, senior dogs, fractious cats, and medically complex pets. Additionally, I am a dog foster and have recovered medically complex pups from intense surgeries/traumas. Given those experiences, I am comfortable administering medications both orally and injectables, as well as recognizing signs and symptoms of illness. As well, I have a behaviorally complex German Shepherd of my own, and feel comfortable recognizing and avoiding triggers, or safely deescalating situations if they arise. I currently work at an emergency vet with varying shifts, including some overnights, weekends, and evenings. This also means I have many days I can spent my time exclusively with your pets to get some energy out during the daylight! I welcome the opportunity to discuss my schedule during your trip specifically! After a lifetime in veterinary medicine & kennel assistant responsibilities, I’ve learned the ins and outs of pet safety, especially with behaviorally complex pets. I am happy to work with each pet specifically to cater to where they feel best- whether that be crated, on the couch beside me, or anywhere in between!
