“Katie was amazing! We have 2 large dogs, and she was willing to work with our recently adopted mastiff who is sweet but still struggling with some anxiety. Both dogs immediately loved her, and they had a great time while we were away. It wasn’t easy for sure, but she was patient and kind and kept in constant communication-adjusting to support Odin as needed! We are so lucky to have found her!”

“Ruth did an amazing job with Ruby. Can’t thank her enough for how well she takes care of her and how nice it is to come home to happy well cared pup. Can’t wait for Ruth to watch her again!”

“I honestly can’t say enough great things about Bailee! This is the second time that she stayed at our house for a week with our two pugs and cat. She went above and beyond to provide care for them by administering medicine, giving lots of love and playtime, sending pictures/updates, and even keeping our house in perfect shape! Our pets love her and we hope that we can use her again in the future!”

“Very dependable and responsive! Great attitude! We adored Christina and would definitely have her back if we need a sitter in our home again! She has such an energetic and warm personality.”

“We could not have asked for a better dog sitter! From the moment we left, Leigh went absolutely above and beyond every expectation we had. Her communication was fantastic the entire time — we received regular updates, photos, and could clearly see how loved and cared for our pup was while we were away. She didn’t just cover the basics; she truly invested time and attention into making sure he was happy, comfortable, and mentally stimulated with lots of playtime, enrichment, and snuggles. It was obvious she genuinely cared about him like he was her own. On top of that, she completely spoiled him and us by making sure his kennel stayed clean and even giving him a quick bath before out return! Coming home to a happy, clean, relaxed pup was such an incredible feeling. Reliable, thoughtful, attentive, and incredibly kind — we would trust her again in a heartbeat and cannot recommend her highly enough!”

“Zoe took great care of our baby girl Nami, plants, and house. She had fantastic communication and sent us great pictures while we were away. We always knew our high energy puppy was having a great time. We would hire her again in a heart beat!”

“Cindy stayed at our house for 4 days with our beagles She was caring and attentive; she sent pictures and updates. And she was a great house guest! The dogs loved being at home and all of the extra attention that came with it. We would definitely have her take care of our pets again and we would recommend her!”

About: Big or small, I’ve probably kissed it on the nose! My vet hospital experience gives me the ability to acknowledge changes in each species better than most. I’m a lover of horses and cows, so big dogs wouldn’t be any different for me. I’m happy to administer medications, keep up with a training schedule/routine, keep up with their energy needs by going to the dog park or walks, etc. I’m known to be a confident, compassionate, and reliable person with animals. I’m a morning person! I’m available most mornings and evenings. My class schedule doesn’t have me on campus for extended periods of time. I don’t have classes on Fridays and am looking to do this as my main income source! I will happily respect your house rules, but I could cuddle all day long with the fur balls! Growing up, I was totally guilty of letting my dog in bed and giving some human food. Now, I understand the importance of discipline and routine. I’m happy to follow your routine and give ample pet kisses along the way! I am sure to treat every pet as my own. If I notice a lump, bump, cut, etc. I’m never one to assume you already know about it. Their happiness and health is my top priority.
About: Growing up, I've helped train and take care of 2 cats, 5 dogs, and at one point 9 puppies. I can speak Spanish at a conversational level. And I probably will enjoy playing and going on walks just as much as the pet will. I am currently in college as a full time student. This year I have a large break Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays in the middle of my day. When at home I help with feeding, training, and teaching my families 4 dogs In my home I am ok with pets sleeping in the same bed with me and I try to train them without loud commands, but rather visual and quick quite commands. I can allow as much or as little as someone wants as far as rules with a pet.
“Vicki was great! She watched our 2 golden retrievers for a weekend - a stormy weekend. She was very communicative and shared lots of pictures. We felt very aware of what was going on. She also left the house clean and in order, which we really appreciate coming home from a weekend away! Vicki is top-notch. Highly recommend.”

“Phoebe is a very thoughtful and communicative pet sitter and was especially great with our geriatric dog. I highly recommend her and would love for her to sit for our dogs again!”
About: I have taken care of family and friends dogs for the past 4 years, both while living in college and while at home. I have experience working with mainly teenage to older dogs, but have some experience working with younger dogs when my family got our first dogs. I am currently in law school here at Penn State and would be available most weekday nights! I can also help on the weekends, but am often traveling for school. With my school work being tiring and often not fun, being able to spend time with dogs, both just hanging out at night and playing in the yard is something I am more than happy to offer! I love dogs and will be very attentive to their needs during my time with them, from any quirky needs they have to keeping on their schedule to make them as comfortable as possible.
“Irene was awesome. We had an initial meeting to review all details, and she sent updates and pictures of our furbabies. We will be reaching out to Irene again and highly recommend her services.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was born! I currently have 2 dogs, a chinchilla, and a hamster! I have grown up taking care of my dogs, along with all my other pets along the years! I have cat experience, as my brother has 2 and my roommates and I have fostered cats. I am a student, so I have classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with a gap in the late morning/early afternoon. My Tuesdays and Thursdays are open, along with my weekends! I am easily available to come to your home to care for your dog! I can crate, feed, walk, etc. with no problem. I currently live in an apartment with 3 other girls. Caring for your pet at my apartment may not be feasible, but is something I am definitely open to talking about, if needed!
“Adriana was awesome with Kodi . She sent me lots of photos and made me feel really comfortable about leaving my fur baby. I would highly recommend her as well as plan to hire her in the future.”

About: I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by dogs of all sizes, energies, and breeds! From energetic puppy playtime and structured neighborhood walks to cozy senior snuggles, I know exactly how to keep your pup happy, safe, and thoroughly entertained. Hello. My name is Tricia and l bring more than nine years of professional veterinary medical experience, along with many years of caring for animals in my own home, as well as the homes of others. My experience includes dogs and cats as well as ferrets and a variety of small companion animals, giving me a broad understanding of different personalities, needs, and comfort levels. What sets me apart is not only my professional animal-care background, but the way I approach the animals entrusted to me. I believe animals deserve to be treated with patience, kindness, respect, and compassion. I do not believe in forcing or intimidating an animal into compliance. Instead, I pay attention to what each individual animal is communicating and work to help them feel safe and comfortable in my care. My veterinary experience has also taught me to be observant. I understand the importance of noticing changes in an animal’s behavior, appetite, mobility, bathroom habits, or general demeanor that someone without a medical background might overlook. I am comfortable caring for animals with a wide variety of needs and understand the importance of following an owner’s instructions carefully. I am mature, dependable, and responsible, and I understand what it means to have someone trust me with both a beloved animal and access to their home. I have reliable transportation, can offer flexibility with scheduling, and may be available with relatively short notice. Whether your pet is outgoing and immediately wants to make a new friend or needs a little more time and space to become comfortable, I am happy to meet them where they are. My goal is for you to have peace of mind while you’re away and for your pet to feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. I have one dog named, Cooper and two kitties named, Luna and Liebchen! I am comfortable watching your pet(s) in the clients home, preferably. Definitely cats, as mine get stressed out around new cats.
“Christa did such a great job taking care of our dog and home. I was always updated while we were away with anecdotes and pictures. That is so appreciated. Our communication was great. Thank you, Christa.”

Cindy stayed at our house for 4 days with our beagles She was caring and attentive; she sent pictures and updates. And she was a great house guest! The dogs loved being at home and all of the extra attention that came with it. We would definitely have her take care of our pets again and we would recommend her!

Cindy was an angel! This was our first time booking a pet sitter through Rover. Cindy was professional, attentive and thoughtful in her outreach to us prior to her stay at our home. While she stayed at the house she kept in touch and sent us photos. We came home to a tidy home, relaxed and happy young dogs and a sense of relief at home well the dogs were cared for. We highly recommend Cindy for watching dogs over an extended period away!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ramblewood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ramblewood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ramblewood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
