“Katherine was so helpful taking our dog Ellie last minute on Thanksgiving. She was even kind enough to have her for one more day last minute, while we had guests in town! She sent pictures and was very responsive! Would absolutely use Katherine again in the future!”

“Nicoly was the perfect sitter for my dog Bandit. She is loving, patient and attentive. I received daily picture/video updates from walks to cuddles. Bandit couldn’t have been in better hands.”

“Denise watched my dog Paddy for over a week while he was recovering from Lyme’s. She was very friendly, kind and assuring during this period. She also communicated with me daily and sent updates and pictures. I would highly recommend.”

“Carrigan is lovely. I was very anxious about leaving my havenese dog for the first time but within hours Carrigan was sending me pictures and updates many times during his stay. Made my trip more enjoyable for me! Thank you. Carrrigan.”

About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. Spending time with animals is my happy place and nothing brings me more joy than caring for and playing with them. I have a great deal of experience taking care of many dogs of various breeds and sizes. I currently have the flexibility to fully dedicate myself to what I would call my dream job which is working with animals. I can go on long or short walks and have an enclosed dog park around my area. I have taken care of dogs with medical problems and have experience giving dogs medicine such as eye drops and pills. I am a quick learner when it comes to the specific conditions the owner has for their dog .
“Andrea dog care was perfect. She is conscientious and really a animal lover. Our dog came back happy and slept the entire day- so we know Hannah got good exercise and lots of attention!”

“We're so glad that we found Tanya! Daisy had a wonderful time, and I had a rare opportunity to meet a friend for a nice evening in New York City! We will definitely be calling on Tanya again. Highly recommended!”

“I was so fortunate to have found Anastasiia to watch our dog Axel when we traveled to Europe. We had booked a sitter who cancelled - leaving us with very little time to find another over the holiday season. We had Anastasiia was reasonably priced compared to some of the other sitters available (watch out for price gouging during the holidays). I had booked someone who was less expensive but when we did the meet and great, I saw that they were using Rover to run a kennel: 10 dogs kept in an 8x6 garage - with no one home! I took a chance on Anastasiia because she is new to Rover. When I met her in her home, I could tell right away that Axel would be in good hands! The home is charming and so was Anastasiia's partner :-). During Axel's stay he got to go to the park and play and even got to go on a hike. Anastasiia asked me if it was ok to take him and how he was in the car. The pictures of their adventure made me smile :-). I was sent lots of pictures during Axel's stay - most either playing or lounging lol Axel was in good spirits when we picked him up. I felt comfortable and confident that my family member was being given good care while we were overseas. I highly recommend.”

“Jourdyn was kind and nice with my dog (Bianca), they were together for 2 weeks, I am sure Bianca enjoyed her stay. Jourdyn sent me updates everyday. Bianca was in good mood after I picked her up. Definetly”

“We had such a wonderful experience boarding our miniature dachshund, Bailey! From the moment we dropped her off, it was clear she was in great hands. Jon took amazing care of her and we are really impressed with his knowledge and attention to detail. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Bailey was safe, happy, and well cared for while we were away. We could tell he was treated like family. We’ll absolutely be booking with Jon again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and experienced dog boarder!”

“Our boy has a great time with Cristina! He loves playing in the yard and snuggling up with some blankets at her place. She’s super communicative and takes amazing pictures of him. Highly recommend!”

“This was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving Troy with someone and LisaLeigh made the whole process really easy! She kept me updated throughout the weekend and took great care of him. Troy came home happy and tired, which is all I could ask for. I really appreciated how smooth everything went and how flexible LisaLeigh was with the early pickup and drop off time. Will definitely book with her again for next trips out of town!”

“Stephanie was so great I would recommend her to anyone! She sent pictures and updates everyday! She was super easy to contact and flexible with booking! Winston had a lovely time and I would definitely have her look after him again!”

“John was a great first Rover experience for my partner, Momo and I! From the start we were impressed with his knowledge regarding dogs and how to care for them. He is very responsive and flexible and even coordinated with my friend for drop off and pick up while we were out of the country. Two days after she left John's, we are back and Momo is still happily tuckered out from all the exercise she got while at John's. Thank you for a great first experience!”

Nandita was great while Gwen stayed at her home for a week! Gwen can be a very tentative dog, but Nandita made sure she was comfortable and taken care of. She was great at providing photos and videos during the stay and Gwen looked happy and comfortable throughout! Nandita is also extremely responsive, and she has a very friendly Labrador retriever who is great at interacting with all kinds of dog personalities. Highly recommend!

Melissa and Christian were fantastic with our two girls. Each day we received clever updates on what they were up to, how they were doing and what they have done. They were taken on multiple walks each day and were very comfortable with them. Will definitely be booking again with them!

Our small rescue dog Lucy stayed with Ashley 6 nights and the transformation was amazing! Ashley is a very talented and passionate trainer and I will certainly recommend her to anybody needing dog training and/or boarding. Lucy had strong reactivity to other dogs and during the boarding she gained her confidence and was able to relax. She is a much happier dog now and I was able to go to the dog park for the first time without a growl or attack on another dog! Of course it's important for the owner to learn what Ashley teaches so I recommend bringing a notepad to take notes since she had a lot to explain.

Steph did a wonderful job caring for our dog. She was very communicative and provided updates daily along with the cutest photos. She really cares about the dogs she takes care of. Definitely one of the top sitters we’ve found on Rover! We would happily book again and highly recommend her! I can tell our pup was in great hands.

Emma took amazing care of our 2.5 year old lab for one week while we went away on vacation. She took great care of our dog giving her plenty of exercise and care. She shared videos and photos on a regular basis which we were grateful for. Our dog came home safe and sound. We would definitely ask Emma to take care of our dog again!
Jessica was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of our cats, kept us updated with photos and messages, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our cats were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Clinton was fantastic! Quick to respond and easy to communicate with. Our basset hound Millie stayed with him for a weekend and enjoyed herself. Clinton sent us multiple update pictures letting us know that she was comfortable and spending time with his son and golden retriever. Clinton’s backyard space was great for Millie too! We’ll definitely be repeat customers :)

Bella did so well with Judy. I received daily updates with pictures and she informed me about everything happening and she provided all of her meals, supplements and treats as we discussed. She helped me feel at ease since we were gone for two weeks on an international trip. Judy, thank you for taking such good care of Bella and for being so detail- oriented!

Ashley was awesome with Spence! She watched him overnight and took such great care of him. The photo updates she sent were the best and totally put our minds at ease while we were away. It was so nice to see him looking relaxed and completely at home with her. Everything went so smoothly from drop-off to pick-up. We’ll definitely be booking her again and highly recommend her to anyone!

Kevin was enthusiastic & held the reins well, in acting as a surrogate for me, in the care of my lil Pup, who I adore! When I picked him up from his overnight stay… he returned happy, healthy & safe & sound! I also loved the pics he sent me. If needed again in the future, Kevin would be my “go to” caretaker for my Pup!

Está muy bien, solo haría unos pequeños cambios para que suene más natural en inglés: She was amazing! My dog loved her so much that when I went to pick her up, she didn’t want to leave, which showed me that she felt safe and comfortable. Yury was also super sweet and always sent me videos and pictures. I will DEFINITELY book with her again! Thank you, Yury — we are so grateful! También podrías hacerlo un poco más cálido: She was amazing! My dog absolutely loved her. When I went to pick her up, she didn’t want to leave, which told me she felt safe, happy, and comfortable. Yury was incredibly sweet and kept me updated with videos and pictures throughout the stay. I will definitely book with her again. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
