“Radostina did a great job with our 5 year old and 5 month old pups. She has a fenced in yard and areas set up for playing and sleeping. She was so loving and sent lots of pictures. Through those pictures we could tell that our pups were loving their time with her and her family. Thank you Radostina!”

“Karen is a wonderful dog sitter, she gave our baby so much love and attention. She followed her schedule and it looked like she was right at home! She communicated throughout the days and took so many excellent pictures. Roxy misses her already!!”

“Margaret was an amazing caretaker for our 6-month old puppy while we were away for four nights! From the very first interaction we had together—a detailed phone call reviewing all of our preferences and needs and approaches and philosophies—to frequent and detailed communication (with photos!) of how our dog's visit was going, we felt at every turn that we—and our pup—were in the absolute best of hands. Thank you, Margaret! We, and Fred, will be back =)”

“Ky had another great stay and left happy, as always! Anner was flexible and communicative around pick up for us this time with some crazy travel and was so sweet to give Ky a bath before he came home - honestly so nice to have him clean ☺️🧼🐶 Thanks, Anner!”

“Took the time to make sure my pup was at home and comfortable. He can be a little shy at first but Carrigan made sure he felt safe. Unsurprisingly, he seemed to adjust very quickly.”

“Debbie is such a lovely and responsible sitter- we can’t give her enough praise. Our pup always comes back a better dog, and we never worry when we leave him with Debbie.”

“We had such a wonderful experience boarding our miniature dachshund, Bailey! From the moment we dropped her off, it was clear she was in great hands. Jon took amazing care of her and we are really impressed with his knowledge and attention to detail. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Bailey was safe, happy, and well cared for while we were away. We could tell he was treated like family. We’ll absolutely be booking with Jon again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and experienced dog boarder!”

“Consuelo and family take such great care - we booked for 3 different times in the week. and yes, our puppy keeps asking, "When are we going back?" Highly recommend!!!”

About: My love of dogs led me to start a dog walking business when I was only 10 yrs old. Once I finally convinced my parents to get a dog, I was 15 and we ended up with two bichon-malteses who were the loves of my life. As an adult, my career has me traveling frequently so I haven’t become a pet owner, but I continue to dogsit for friends and neighbors because I love the companionship when I’m home. I am committed to providing your dog a comfortable home away from home where they will be well cared for and loved. I work from home Mondays and Fridays so can be available for care for a long weekend (Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon). My availability may be limited based on work travel. I live in a dog friendly building, where there is greenery and walking paths around the building for daily walks and enjoy going for longer walks in nearby parks.
“This was our first time using Ivon and we couldn’t be more pleased! Dogs were well taken care of, she sent updates often and some great pictures and even took them on walks despite them being terrible on a leash. We will definitely use her again!”

“My dog has stayed with Hannah and Kevin three times, and they have done a great job! It’s clear that my dog loves them from how excited he gets when we drop him off. Will definitely hire Hannah and Kevin again.”

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life. Your sweet pet will be loved just like they would be at home. I have experience with all dog sizes and temperaments. Your pet will be the focus of my day under my care. I love to be active and outside but happy to adjust to whatever your pet prefers. Your pets will be cuddled, walked, played with, and have a fun stay in safe hands with me. They will be treated with love and care.
About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. Spending time with animals is my happy place and nothing brings me more joy than caring for and playing with them. I have a great deal of experience taking care of many dogs of various breeds and sizes. I currently have the flexibility to fully dedicate myself to what I would call my dream job which is working with animals. I can go on long or short walks and have an enclosed dog park around my area. I have taken care of dogs with medical problems and have experience giving dogs medicine such as eye drops and pills. I am a quick learner when it comes to the specific conditions the owner has for their dog .
“Katherine was so helpful taking our dog Ellie last minute on Thanksgiving. She was even kind enough to have her for one more day last minute, while we had guests in town! She sent pictures and was very responsive! Would absolutely use Katherine again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 14 years old. I have helped with fur babies of family, friends, and others I have babysat for in the past. I had a family dog that lived up to 13 years, so I have experience in caring for senior dogs as well as senior cats. Currently, my senior kitty is 16 years old and going strong! I also have experience in providing medication. My cat has gastrointestinal issues and requires subcutaneous fluids and lactulose so I am comfortable in providing help with medication or following a certain care regime for your pets. I also have experience with kittens as young as 3 months and dogs as young as 1 years old but am also comfortable in caring for puppies. I know they require lots of stimulation and play time as they are energetic, and I am happy to provide that for you and your pets. I am also very patient and mindful of your senior babies so they will be in great hands as well! I’m currently working part time, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I can provide services such as housesitting, dog walking, or daycare on weekends and after 12PM on weekdays. I have two friendly cats that love dogs and other cats to keep your fur baby company. I live near two parks so there are lots of open spaces for your doggies to enjoy. I have a baby/pet gate to separate pets if needed between rooms.
“We’re very happy with Liza. She was very conscientious and loving with our dog. From the very start, we felt completely comforted knowing that he was in such good hands. She provided daily updates with pictures and videos throughout our 10-day trip. We will definitely book her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cos Cob
Kevin was enthusiastic & held the reins well, in acting as a surrogate for me, in the care of my lil Pup, who I adore! When I picked him up from his overnight stay… he returned happy, healthy & safe & sound! I also loved the pics he sent me. If needed again in the future, Kevin would be my “go to” caretaker for my Pup!

Rebecca and her husband were great! I had to book them last minute for a wedding weekend where we had a sitter fall through. From the beginning she assured me that they would take good care of our dogs! We have a puppy Duke and a rescue hazy. Both come with a big personality and it was no sweat to them. They were communicative, responsive and exceeded our expectations. We are not from the area but highly highly recommend anyone who is to book with them! When we come back to visit we will for sure be using them again!

Stefanie was amazing - kind, patient and understanding with our anxious pup's first boarding experience ever, and a great communicator. She and her human and four legged family members welcomed our pup with open arms and helped put our mind at ease that our pup was in great hands. Would definitely recommend and we'd definitely book with her again!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
There are 10,583 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Cos Cob. About 89% of Cos Cob sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
